Spicy Cilantro and Lime Crab Salad in Avocado Halves
These are extremely easy to make, not to mention, healthy! They work great for appetizers at a party or even an after workout snack!
The recipe I’ll give you here is just for one avocado. My boyfriend and I love these so I doubled mine in the photos shown below so we could each have 2 halves.
1 Avocado (cut in half, pit removed)
½ cup lump crab meat
½ Tbs light mayo
1 Tbs fresh cilantro (finely chopped)
1 Tbs red onion (finely minced)
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp lime zest
1 Tbs lime juice (or squeeze half of a fresh lime)
½ jalapeño (remove seeds and rinse pepper if you have a mild taste)
Sea salt and cracked black pepper to taste
Cut your avocado in half, remove pit, and lightly sprinkle inside with sea salt.
Mix all of your other ingredients in large bowl, spoon into avocado halves, and serve! Easy as that! We always have a bit of extra left over which is great on crackers too. Enjoy!
