Message In A Bottle Memory Jar

Tattooed Martha - Message In A Bottle Memory Jar (8)

One of my most popular posts from last week was the Splatter Paint New Year’s Eve Memory Jar. Since its New Year’s Eve I thought I would show you the memory jar I made for our home! My love for the ocean and for Sailor Jerry is combined in this fun “message in a bottle” style memory jar!

Supplies:

Liquor or wine bottle – empty, cleaned, and label scraped off. (I love the look of SJ bottles so I kept the label!)

Sand – You can buy craft sand or collect your own if you’re lucky enough to live near a beach

Broken seashells and pebbles

Notepad and pen

Ready for the easiest post ever?!?

Pour sand in the bottle and then add your shells and pebbles. Real tough stuff huh?

Now make some memories and jot them down! Slip them into the bottle and then on next New Year’s Eve, pour them out or break the bottle, do what you have to do, and read them with your loved one!
