Spicy Six Layer Bean Dip
There was a time in my life where I LIVED off of this bean dip! It’s quick and cheap to make and also completely addicting! I’ve taken it to pot lucks, family get-togethers, and Super Bowl parties and I never have any leftovers! Give it a shot for your game day parties this weekend and see for yourself!
1 can of refried beans
1 cup sour cream
1 Tbs cayenne pepper
1 Tbs crushed red pepper
1-2 vine ripe tomato, diced and seeded
3-4 green onion stalks, finely chopped
1 package of shredded cheese
(1.) In a small casserole dish or baking pan, spread a ¼ inch thick layer of refried beans. (2.) Next will be a layer of sour cream (to make it a bit healthier use the ‘light’ version or substitute with mashed avocados). (3.) Sprinkle cayenne and crushed red pepper on top of the sour cream. It may look like a lot but I promise the spice is not overpowering..or painful ; ) (4.) Next add diced tomatoes (5.) and then green onion. (6.) Add shredded cheese to the top and lightly press down. This will make your layers hold together more.
Serve it up with tortilla chips and watch how fast it disappears!
