Orange Energy Juice

I’m going to sound like a juice head.. no.. not the greasy muscle-y angry ones that you’re thinking of.. REAL JUICE! I was extremely skeptical about trying juiced vegetables and fruits together, but couldn’t be more surprised with how delicious they are! Fruits have such great natural sweetness that it overpowers any vegetable in the juice. Our favorite time to make one is in the morning or before the gym when we want a boost in energy and this particular juice combo does exactly that!

I like to use a cocktail shaker to put my juice into.

Throw some ice in, give it a couple good shakes, and strain into glasses. Serve right away. Cheers!

Is there a trick to getting the seeds from the pomegranite? I saw something on tv and it looked rather difficult.. I can honestly say i’ve never tried a fresh one.

I know there’s specific ways to do it, but I just cut mine in half and lightly scrape with a spoon or use my fingers to brush the seeds out. You’ll have a few that might pop and send juice flying, but as long as you take your time (and don’t wear white!) you shouldn’t have a huge mess or anything!

Try rolling a pomegranate on a hard surface before you cut it, and then put a half in a ziplock bag, seal, and roll on your bench top. It loosens them up and they need less persuading with a spoon!
