This past week we were dog-sitting our favorite pups again, Milo and Schotzy! They are two of the tiniest, cutest, and fartiest (yes, I’m making that a word now), little buggers ever! It was nice to take them on walks during the few sunny days we had and see that fall is in full effect! I collected a handful of leaves for some craft projects I’ll be sharing with you over the next few weeks. The rest of the week has been rainy and chilly so I’ve been warming up with Hot Apple Jerry’s!
On Sunday I had the pleasure of working with the talented, Lindsey Rickert, again! She had a really creative and fun idea for a photo shoot and her good friend, Alix, did an amazing job with my hair and make-up! Become a fan on Facebook to keep up with Lindsey’s work!
Whose ready for some wedding planning ramble?! I finally came up with a fun idea for our wedding invitations and decided to skip the Save the Dates altogether. I’m not sure who started the whole ‘Save the Date’ thing anyway, but it seems a bit redundant (and more expensive) to send those as well as formal invitations a few months afterward. I decided to combine the two and I’ll include a fun ‘Save the Date’ reminder, but also have a formal invitation with all of the other important details. Since 61% (yes I was nerdy enough to calculate the exact percentage) of our guests will be flying in from out of state, I’m going to send the invitations in January, giving everyone 6 months to prepare.
Since we’re not having a bridal party I won’t have to worry about boutonnieres and bouquets, so I plan on doing the rest of the flowers myself. I might be biting off more than I can chew, but at least I won’t be stressing about relying on another person to deliver the flowers and do them exactly how I want. The rest of the wedding décor will be simple and I’ll be starting on that very soon! As far as my dress.. I’m sorry, but I won’t be sharing it until the big day! I want it to be a surprise to Josh and he’s a good fiancé and reads my blog, so you guys will have to wait! 😉
That’s all I have for you today! Happy Wednesday!
