There have been a lot of new changes around the house lately and I love the direction it’s going in! Our friends gifted us an amazing vintage IKEA table that a family member was getting rid of and it fits perfectly in our dining space! I thought we might sand and paint it, but I love the authentic wear and tear it has. I’ve already made great use of it for my photo set-ups and it’s nice to have a place to sit down and enjoy my coffee.
I also painted the bathroom… finally! I had it taped off for about a week and finally took care of it over the past few days. I was a little bit worried that the dark gray would make the bathroom feel small, but it has great contrast against the white trim of the door and complements the floor and countertops. I also added a vintage mirror that I picked up at the thrift store and spray painted black (hence the awkward mirror ‘selfie’). I have a very specific theme that I’ll be doing in this bathroom and I can’t wait to add some artwork to help it along! Before and after photos coming soon!
We’re not too big on celebrating Valentine’s Day, so we just relaxed at home. I took care of my two loves by cooking Josh a simple, yet still themed, breakfast and put some fresh catnip in Punk’s Refillable Catnip Heart Toy. Look at those pupils! She definitely enjoyed her kitty high!
Now for some not-so-good news… Josh’s car was stolen! It was right in front of our house, but they snagged it sometime after 2am last Saturday. We’ve filed a police report and luckily there was no sensitive personal information or valuables in the car. I took Josh out for drinks at Delta to forget about it, but he’s still pretty bummed out. Fingers crossed that it turns up..in one piece!
This weekend we’ll be at the Evergreen Tattoo Invitational in Springfield, OR so if you’re local, be sure to come by and say hello! And if you’re not, I’ll share photos and updates about the convention in next week’s Tattoosday post!
Have a great week everyone!
