A Guinness float might be nothing new to you, but since I had never tried one I thought I would give it a shot! It was delicious, foamy, and the perfect fusion of two of my favorite things! I decided to kick it up a notch by adding a rum spiked caramel sauce and rum spiked chocolate sauce that I used in my Sailor Split recipe awhile back. Chocolate, caramel, rum, beer, AND ice cream?! Yep.. I went there! Serve these up at your St. Patrick’s Day party or enjoy one all to yourself!
3 scoops vanilla ice cream
1 (12oz) Guinness Extra Stout
Chocolate rum sauce (recipe here)
Caramel rum sauce (recipe here)
Make the chocolate and caramel sauces first. Directions and recipe in the Sailor Split post. Add 3 scoops of ice cream to a large glass and then slowly pour Guinness in. I only used about half my beer, but slowly poured more in as I drank the float down.
Top with caramel and chocolate sauces and serve!
