Last week I had my first wedding dress fitting! It was really exciting to see it and try it on the first time, but extremely nerve wracking to watch the woman hack at the bottom hem with a pair of scissors. She either had an extreme distaste for my tattoos, my wedding style, or she was having a really terrible day.. or all of the above.. because her permanent scowl left me feeling less than excited about my dress and rather uncomfortable during the fitting. I’m just hoping my dress doesn’t suffer the consequences from her bad attitude.
Later that day we squeezed in another quick tattoo session to finish up most of part one of two on my upper thigh piece. I can now officially say that I have a bum tattoo! Haha it was actually the least painful area we worked on that night. It should be completely healed in a week or so. I know that I’ve been promising photos for quite some time, but I’ll follow through once it’s not in the disgusting, itchy, peeling stage!
And speaking of tattooing.. Josh is back home in Iowa working for a few weeks and visiting family. While Punk has already made herself right at home on Josh’s side of the bed, it’s a little bit strange for me to go from operating as a couple back to solo. I’m definitely looking forward to heading out on a few adventures alone though. That’s not to say I won’t be missing him terribly while we’re apart, but I think it’s good for humans to go out and explore on their own. No technology and no one else around. You take in the experience and appreciate it much more knowing it’s just you. I won’t be entirely alone though.. Punk is roughly the size of a small human, so I have someone to snuggle up with still! 😉
Yesterday I created an ambitious list of projects I’d like to complete over the next month so I’ll have more than enough to stay busy with. I feel a bit bad that I haven’t been putting up more crafts and DIY projects for you guys, so that will be changing over the next few months!
I hope you’re all having a wonderful week!
