If you can’t tell from most of my posts, we LOVE spicy foods! I buy cayenne pepper and crushed red pepper in bulk and there’s always an abundance of fresh jalapeños around. We recently purchased a grill so we’ve been cooking as much as possible with it, and what’s better than kabobs?! Even if you don’t have a grill you can still enjoy this simple, spicy, and delicious combination!
Spicy Cilantro and Lime Crab Salad in Avocado Halves
These are extremely easy to make, not to mention, healthy! They work great for appetizers at a party or even an after workout snack!
Tis the season for beachy crafts so I thought I would post another for you!
Basil and Garlic Wheat Pizza Dough
Pizza is my Kryptonite, especially homemade! I have tried out so many different pizza dough recipes and I can’t seem to ever find one that I love.. until now! I had to tweak this recipe several times until I had it to my liking so I hope you enjoy it as well!
Shadow Box Bacon Bank
Quick, cute, and easy! Fun way to display your favorite beach and summer vacation photos!
When I moved out of the house at eighteen I was broke, as most 18-20 somethings are when they’re first getting set up on their own. Among eating canned ravioli and a LOT of ramen noodles, I learned how to make the easiest, cheapest, tastiest red sauce. To this day this is still my go-to-sauce for pasta, chicken parmesan, marinara dipping sauce, pizza sauce, etc.. You can add diced tomatoes, mushrooms, meat, and other seasonings to perfect your own but here’s my original recipe!
I wanted to make a chalkboard for the kitchen but also needed to hang hooks for my measuring cups and pot holders, so I combined the two ideas!
I hope everyone had an amazing Fourth of July! My boyfriend and I spent the day at the Portland Blues Festival on the Waterfront, which gave me the perfect excuse to bust out my new favorite sundress now that Portland’s summer has officially begun! We tromped around with thousands of others, enjoying a few beers, some amazing BBQ, and listening to live Blues. We had a few friends over to our new place to grill out and then walked back down to the waterfront to watch the fireworks. Other than an overly intoxicated redneck yelling, “Get yerself some, ‘Merica!!” every time another firework exploded in the sky, it was a great way to spend the Fourth!

After having my family in town for a week and then immediately packing, moving, cleaning by myself while Josh was back home, we finally have things settled and I’m ready to get back to work! The chaos of the move was definitely worthwhile since we both have workspaces to draw, paint, and create! I can’t wait to share some of the projects I’ve been working on with you!
