Hot Toddies are always a go-to when temperatures drop or you find yourself with a terrible cold that only spices, citrus, and a wee bit of bourbon can cure. With the weather feeling quite arctic here in the Midwest, I couldn’t think of a more perfect time to make one and Maker’s Mark must have read my mind when they asked me to participate in this year’s #MakeItTealicious Hot Tea-Toddy challenge!
While a traditional Hot Toddy is made with hot water, I love using tea instead to add some new flavors. I chose Harney and Son’s White Christmas Tea not just because the name couldn’t be more perfect, but because of the phenomenal flavor it added. Notes of almond, cardamom, and warm vanilla blend beautifully with the spices, whiskey, and light hint of of citrus, making for a Hot Toddy unlike any other.
