Tattooed Martha began as a kitchy pun on being a tattooed version of the cooking, baking, crafting badass we all know, love, and slightly fear. It was my way to share the creative projects I was working on and my journey to becoming a better home cook.
What it has evolved into now is a dual space for me to share my inspiration, creativity, and celebrations as well as my mistakes, shame, and setbacks. Because without both sides of the coin you lose out on the authenticity, honesty, and passion that we all need to drive us forward. Don’t worry.. there’s still plenty of delicious recipes and strong cocktails for you to enjoy along the way!
The voice behind Tattooed Martha…
My name is Sasha and I’m currently living the American millennial dream of living back home with my parents while I prepare myself to purchase my own home in the country. I moved back to my home state of Iowa after spending 5 years in Oregon, with just a carload of my belongings and my trusty sidekick, a 15 year old, 13lb cat named, Punk.
My passion is blogging, freelance writing, and developing recipes, but to make the dough I really need for my dream home I work fulltime in retail.. and shamelessly love it. It allows for a flexible schedule throughout the year so that I can travel frequently and not get burned out while “working for the man.”
This is my corner of the blogging world to inspire, grow, and connect with others through recipes, creative projects, and writing. Life is messy, but there’s a lot of amazing things that can come out of that mess. So I invite you to get your hands dirty and create along side me.
