African American Monofilament Wigs For Sale (2023 Update)

I wore my hair in dreds for years but when thyroid problems set in, my hair changed. It changed so much that I cut off my hair and decided to look for a new style to wear my hair. I decided to turn to wigs. I bought Glenda 3T280 last year, almost a year ago and I am still receiving compliments. No one knows it is a wig and that is what I like about Glenda. She fits comfortably when I wear my natural hair cut very low so new growth is definitely a conflict. The care is easy, I did purchase the wig shampoo and conditioner and my hair smells good and feels clean. I would definitely recommend this product to a friend.Josephine B.

I like this hat (wig) because it's not too dense. The color (4/27/30) is a nice blend, the color is my favorite. The con is it fit's odd something is weird about the cap. And I own a lot of hats (wigs) so I know the difference. Price has nothing to do with it. And for this reason, I can't recommend it because of the QA was not done. It's the risk you take when ordering off line, it's a 50/50 chance. And for this one I'm not very satisfied. So, 2 stars for the fit and 4 stars for the color and densityLisa M.

Beautiful wig in GL14/22SS. This blonde shade is perfect for my natural brunette skin tone (light to medium neutral leaning toward warm). It's not too warm, nor is it too cool, and it doesn't wash me out. I discovered Gabor recently and love the hairline and softly shaded roots of the shaded shades. The hair is soft and fine. It tends to be a face flopper on me, but I plan to train it back. My photo shows it clipped on the right side.Lydia S.

This is a cute, lightweight pixie. She's my first experience with a lace front wig, which I find to be a little scratchy but very realistic-looking. The wig has significant permatease, but I can very easily smooth her down somewhat using just my fingers – I imagine I could get her even flatter with a good styling creme. Alternatively, if you want to spike her up, she'll go pretty high with a good shake and some teasing. I also appreciate that the bangs aren't super-long and I don't need to trim them. Although I've never tried Raquel Welch's "Winner," Serving Style seems similar to the basic (non-Elite) version of that wig, with the addition of a lace front for off-the-face styling versatility. I purchased this wig in the honey pecan. I’m a natural dark brunette plus size 23 inch head and this average fit me just fine. The cap is comfortable, natural, soft, and has a nice stretch. Rooting and highlighting is very natural spot on. To keep it out of my eyes, I just use a little clip which makes it look even cuter to put it back. This is a great wig if you want hair to stay out of your face in the summer when it’s hot or while you are busy doing things. I haven’t tried the sweet talk luxury but this one feels so nice I wouldn’t even be inclined to try unless it’s just for fun. Perfect color if you’re a brunette and you want to start going lighter and have it look natural. Will put a review on YouTube under “it’s a wonderful wig” since I love this so much. Thank you so much for a truly amazing product. I have ordered before from different companies and every single time I open the box and my heart sinks. I honestly feel they got the orders mixed up. The other companies say that the lighting makes the color look different, but the whole wig was not what I ordered. Your product is perfect. It looks exactly like what I ordered, color, style everything is perfect. It took me 2 days to build up the courage to open the box and look. I am so use to getting something that is not at all like what I ordered, than I thought this would be another time I would waste money sending it back. I love the wig, and I love the fit. I like this wig however sometimes the cap is too small. The two I bought last month fit perfectly. One of the wigs I bought last year shouldn't have passed the quality control inspector if you have one. The hair separated at the crown. I have brushed and teased but it never did perform as expected.JANET M.

I spent so much time w/customer service trying to get the right wig for a special occasion. Had to return my 1st purchase. A monofilament was extremely important. The “Tony” wig is Not a mono wig. You see the wefting through the hair. The color was wrong even after I explained my bio color hair to the rep. This is the beginning of my journey so my issues may be just that I am starting this journey kicking and screaming. I know all the YouTube reviewers say this is wonderful and fun but it isn't what I want to do – I wish my bio hair looked like this wig. It is lovely – soft and flattering for probably anyone. However, I may still return, I have tried in on for a bit several days in a row, still not sure. These may be things I just have to live with now that I have to do this to have normal 'hair'. 1.) Lace front – if I do keep this one, I will NEVER buy a lace front again. Unfortunately, it is very hard to find a nice, well made hairpiece without it because everyone else seems to love lace front – NOT ME. I don't like that you cannot pull your bio hair out from under (I know that it is great if you have no hair, but I have plenty around my face and would like to incorporate – Sincerely Yours by RW was perfect but too short). And though it DOES look very nice (I really didn't think it would look so realistic, it truly looks like a real hairline up close), it is HORRIBLY itchy. Like stiff, itchy netting and I can't wait to take it off. Maybe if I try gluing it won't itch so much? 2. I TOO much hair, as with most all of the hair pieces. While I can make this one work because it thankfully isn't LOADED up with that fake feeling/looking permatease (I know some people love it, I do NOT on me), it is still GOBS of hair. I push my hair behind my ears and I would have to have massive ears to fit the gobs falling in front of my face behind my ear; it is like trying to tuck a large rope behind my ear. Not sure why manufacturers think someone who has had hair loss or very thin hair all of the sudden will feel comfortable with a wooly mammoth strapped tightly to their raw noggin. Again, this one could be okay because I could take thinning shears to it and make it work if I keep this wig. 3. Speaking of the front bit… as other reviewers remarked, OMG does it want to go in your face. I don't want to use any product or heat on it yet because I am not sure I am keeping it so VERY difficult to tell if it will work because that is absolutely a problem. Would probably have to thin and cut that into layers – it is very pretty but no one goes around with a big chunk of hair hanging down like that all day. All of the hair on the cap is geared to go absolutely FORWARD, not sure why. It is something that would have to be worked out with heat, water and product. 4. Cap construction – Not super comfortable. Again, this is all new to me so maybe I am doing something wrong. I am using a wig grip so not sure if that adds to my discomfort. I will say that the seams around the mono part are thick and itchy. I would rather a whole mono top or a basic cap, rather than that seamed bit. Too much going on in the cap. So – if you are a regular wig wearer, this style will probably work for you; I am just not use to all these itches and things going on my head. Sort of like a pretty but uncomfortable underwire bra – you can deal but can't wait to get it off at the end of the day – that is how it feels for me. If this had the cap of the Sincerely Yours, I would have found my piece. Again, not sure if I am returning or not, but it is so expensive for me, for them not to be spot on. I need something that looks like ME and I can wear every day and it looks like normal, non-poufy, non-shiny hair and isn't going to rub my ear or itch my head, etc. I am probably hoping for too much. 🙁LJT

Cap is so comfortable. I had to cut on the bangs a little because they went directly into my eyes. However! The color more than made up for it. The eggplant shade is absolutely beautiful and perfect for the fall season! If your bio hair is or was brown and you are looking for brown yet with a twist of pow…. Choose this color! I have yet to be disappointed with the Raquel Welch brand wigs. Thank you Wigstudio1 for always getting my orders to me in such a timely manner. Makes me so happy to know an order is heading my way. I just wish I had discovered wigs many years ago when I started losing my bio hair would have saved me many tears when I was buying every product out there to get my hair back. I‘m a huge Raquel Welch wigs fan, it’s my favorite brand. And I had my eyes on this style for a while and think the stock photo looks fabulous. But it’s my first and last style in regular synthetic. I love the True2Life HD fibers by Raquel Welch, they look and feel like human hair. But these are just extremely shiny and it has a lot of hair! The color Glazed Sand is really nice and the lace front on this style is impeccable, and as this was my first unrooted color, it’s even better and more undetectable than the rooted colors. But everyone tells me that this style looks like an old woman and I‘m just too young to look that old… 😅 Of course Wigstudio1 is not to blame, their service was first class, as always!Sarah C.

Back/sides were shorter than photo but the wig fits well. Has adjustable tabs and front and top look natural. I ordered color 4 dk Brn returned for color 2 v. Dark brn . This is a nice style I was distracted by the wrong color 4 me. My natural hair is dark brown and this wig looked bad with my naturally dark brows.I expect correct color 4me will be just fine. I 'd give 5 stars if back was as shown in pictureRita L.

This wig didn't fall right in the front and across the forehead and didn't present like the photo shown on website. Very disappointing and I had to return it. The style in the back and on the sides is just like how it appears in the photo. The color was also a good choice for me. Don't know if the problem I mentioned was due to a defect but I didn't want to pay the additional fees to exchange it for a replacement and pay another fee for shipping if I had to return it again.Faith

Wigpro Alexandra had uneven hair dispersement. It was quite obvious that the left crown & side was much lighter on design compared to the right side. My family members stated that they could see my scalp. I was disappointed to say the least & embarrassed.Jacqueline T.

For the price of this wig, the quality is very poor. My wigs usually last me at least a year but every time I brush this one or run my fingers through it, it sheds SO much hair. I wouldn’t recommend this wig to anyone and am very disappointed that I spent the money on this.Jennifer

I tried a couple other wigs and they had too much hair for my small face and head. I saw this brand new style and it looked so cute and a lot shorter, and I so hoped it would fit my head and face. When I received it I took it out of the box and I immediately saw that the amount of hair was way less than other wigs I'd tried (Beach Mono and Violet). I tried it on and it wouldn't cover my side hairline. I thought I could work with the curls, which were wavy and soft, but the more I looked at myself, the more I realized that the wig cap just was not large enough. I even went to the internet and looked at ways to make a cap larger, and then kicked myself and said, "she just doesn't deserve all that cutting and most likely ruining!" I would suggest that you go by the true petite sizing if you want to try her. Also, ordered this in Bernstein Rooted which I must add is more blonde than brown. I wasn't prepared to go to such a drastic color change. Since the color swatch shows mostly light brown, the amount of blonde was a surpose. Sadly I had to return her. Your staff was so helpful. My biggest problem with ordering wigs is choosing colors that don’t look anything like the samples. Really?? I ordered Hot Mocca Rooted with light auburn blend and there is nothing auburn about it. I purchased 2 wigs. The Tango & the Ellie (which I returned because I didnt like it). The Tango was everything I expected. I also purchased a pair of John Fashion sling back shoes which I absolutely loved. I returned The Ellie wig & requested a refund. Aft several days, I traced the US mail pkg & it had been received but I had not received my refund as requested. So I called a cpl times using my sister's fone becaz I had poor reception on my Gov fone & later not enuff minutes 2 call Especially Yours & ck on my refund. I was denied my refund of $39.99 for the wig I returned becaz I was using someone else's fone. Although I used my OWN email address & Credit card 2 pay for my order. I had 2 call my bank & have the charges reversed becaz they UNJUSTLY denied my refund. I don't owe them & have never ordered from them before & was treated unfairly. They had a dispute with someone else & tried to make me pay. Very unfair and unjust.Johnnie

This was the most awful low quality wig I every purchased. This use to be a great company back in the days and I was hoping it was still good. I cant believe you as a company purchased this wig, looked it over and still decided to sell it to your customers. It was poor quality and looked nothing like this pick except for the frizziness, look closer and it's there. I returned the same day I received it for a refund and I was told then it was a on sale and couldn't get a refund so not only poor quality, poor customer service. The only recent I didn’t return it was because it was a gift from my husband and it would have hurt him. He didn’t know about color selection. What he selected was what he thought was in the picture. I love the natural look that the monofilament cap creates. the HUMAN HAIR is also GREAT – i can change up my look from straight to curly whenever want. although its not my "real" hair i love how "real' it looks and makes me feel.Larissa M
