Amy Gibson Wigs For Sale (2024 Update)

I own 2 of these beautiful wigs. It is a fabulous color P27-30-33. The cap is breathable and I don't melt while playing tennis in south Alabama. It is super easy to style with a straightener, curling iron and even hot rollers. I have had these over a year and wear them every day. My only complaint is that after a few months you do have to carefully flat iron the ends especially at the nape of the neck because the hair gets very frizzy and course. I wash them in the recommended wig clenser and conditioner and that helps maintain them. Fantastic product and a great buy. I am ordering another.Ceige

Loved Dylan in shade 14/26A so much that I bought another one in shade 24/14. Dylan can be worn straight out of the box. The wavy curls look natural and feel so feminine. When they loosen, just spray with water and scrunch for beautiful wavy curls.Andrea

I've purchased several wigs from Paul Young and have been extremely satisfied with the fit, color and quality. They are comfortable, stylish, and sometimes I even forget I'm wearing a wig! I've had several complements on how nice my hair looks and little do most people know I'm wearing a wig! My latest purchase is the Dylan wig and I'm really happy with it. Arrived via USPS in very good condition, with normal time frame for USPS. The wig was easy to put on and take off. There were instructions for all of my purchase. I lost my hair within 6 days due to chemotherapy, so the helpful instructions were appreciated. The wig was similar to the online photo, but less curly, and that was a slight disappointment. Since it had just arrived at my time of need I am very thankful for the purchase. I have ordered 2 more different styles with some additional accessories. I'm in Little House Christmas and this wig is perfect for my character. I was concerned that there were no obvious attachments to keep it on my head. But it's form fitting to my head and stayed on very secure even through square dancingdawninsofla522

The description states "Headband" while in actuality it's a scarf. It also has two combs (one in front, one in back) to attach the wig to the hair on your head. I have no hair. I would not have purchased this style had I known the correct specifications. Since I read the reviews about the poor customer service when requesting a refund I found a way to secure the wig to my bald head. That being said, the wig looks great and I love how the braids are finished with twists. The color works with my skin tone. I'm glad I was able to make it work and it will not end-up on my closet shelf.Shauna

After waiting several weeks for my wig. I was so excited it finally arrived. Open the box and pulled out the wig to try it on it was damaged. You could imagine how I felt the disappointment after waiting for a long time. I scarf tie is cumbersome. I thought it a stretched band and not a long loose tie. I love the braids but I don't care for the tie thing. If you were going to design it to tie consider the length.It's not long enough to wrap around and come back to the front. So there is a lot of the tie hanging down in the back. I tied a bow, but that's too bulky. Should've been on a stretchable band.Sadie

I mainly purchased this unit because I wanted a little more length at the top. When I first purchased the Mommy wig before it became super popular a few years ago it was constructed so much better. It's thin in the front with tracks sewn weirdly. I had my original to compare. They mostly look like rush jobs. I thought the Mommy II would be better and closer to the original. It has longer lengths on each side which is what I was looking for. However the cap is bigger than the regular mommy wig and I found it too hard to work with. I trimmed the edges and dyed it and it looked nice but I have a small head so I found it just too awkward. I will stick with the Mommy original for a short style. Its not as snug of a fit and I couldn't make it work. Not a bad wig if you have a medium to large head but not really for small heads. Though it depends how you wear it.C M.

Didn't Use It. I love the Mommy Wig but I've gotten it in 4/30, 4/24 and 4/27/30 No one has these colors, but I trust and used Ebonyline always. I ordered this hopping that the color would work. When I opened the shipping package and looked I knew it was to dark for me. Returning it was an option but the cost to ship it made that not worth itMabel C.

I absolutely looooooove this wig. I was a little skeptical about wearing a wig, in fact I said……"I'll NEVA wear a wig". OMG…..I bought the Mommy wig Aug 25th, received it about 4 days later. I made an appoint to get my hair braided in a circle, the type people get when they wear a weave. I must say…….today is October 26th, and I have worn this wig EVERY DAY, with the exception of 3 – 4 days when I just threw on a basball cap. I LOOOOOVE IT! I have naturally long hair, almost @ my bra strap, but this is a way for me to ROCK a short a cut, without cutting my own hair. I literally have people stop me and say…." I love your hair cut" this is no joke. My own sister and several friends, thought I had cut my hair, until I told them. I guess you have to know how to STYLE IT, and ROCK IT with MAD CONFIDENCE! Have been wearing this wig for at least 8 yrs…and have tried many other styles, but this I’s my favorite and I keep returning. Have ordered MANY of this particular wig, and will continue. Am concerned though, that the colors are being clearanced….and hope this doesn’t mean that the style is on it’s way out. Would love to see this style in a lace front, and/or without the darker color in the back. I think many more customers would buy it.Sharri S.

Hi, I have been purchasing this Shannon wig for 8yrs now and have "Never" been dis-appointed! The Shannon wig is not only durable for daily wear and holds up very well wash after was it also, is my go to wig for a quick updo for special occasions!!! My color of choice is Wheat Rooted because I have fair skin and green eyes and boy does this rooted color make my eyes pop!!! For some reason unknown to doctors when I was just 24yrs old I lost all my hair over a span of 8 months and battling cervical cancer as well! As a young woman I was devastated and experiencing depression, chemo was brutal to say the least. I had a young family to raise and had to hold down a high pressure job where personal appearances mattered!!! So needless to say I was forced into buying those old fashioned bulky and ugly wigs. Then came the more natural looking wigs that were way over priced. All I can say is thank you Wig.com and Paula Young for making such durable cute and chic looking wigs at such affordable prices!!! I also, have purchased Avery wig and Nola wig and I'm currently deciding to purchase the new Sloane wig (if you haven't checked out any of these wigs, please do so)!!! The "Special Bonus" is all of these wigs are "Versa Fiber Wigs" as well as Heat Friendly. This is key to all of the wigs I have mentioned being extremely durable shampoo after shampoo & conditioner to holding up so well!!! You can stick your head near the oven when cooking, take a walk on a hot and or humid day, sunbathe etc..etc and all of these wigs will hold up to all of what I just mentioned! Of course don't forget to purchase the correct wig shampoo, wig spray conditioner and wig spray found on both Wig.com and Paula Young. These accessories are really very important for proper wig care!!! Also, if you can afford it please splurge on a good wig stand and wig travel case, which are also found on Wig com. Stay tuned because I will be posting photos of the above mentioned wigs really soon. I will show you the various ways they can be effortlessly styled in updos and curled or just straight out of the box after just a few shakes!!! I’ve worn Shannon for many years and I love it! I’ve tried other styles, I always go back to my favorite, Shannon. I get compliments all the time! I’ve had beautician friends that were shocked when I told them I had a wig on! They fry very quickly and are so easy to style. I lost most of my hair because of medication that I take for a bladder and thyroid disease. Paula Young has changed my life with the Shannon wig. I am forever grateful. I am 74 years old. I have ordered several wigs from Paula Young & have been totally satisfied! The customer service is excellent. The prices are very reasonable! I have to admit, The Sheer Drama wig that I received a couple weeks ago or less, was my first disappointment. The cap is so sheer, that you can see dark hand tied knots a lot through the top. The wig color is Platinum 101. The dark knots actually made me squeamish! They looked like it had lice throughout it!! Being an RN, I had to really look closer & touch the lice-looking knots, & confirmed they were NOT Lice. It was advertised as whisper light- yep it’s so light you see through the cap!Bobbi

This would be a good wig for someone who is not new to wearing wigs. Straight out of the box the wig had a strong plastic like smell. After washing the smell was much less, but still there. Hoping this will fade with time. I have a large head but took a chance and ordered this anyway (average size). It fits very comfortably. The description says ""100% hand tied"". It is not. The top half is hand tied, the bottom half is sewn wefts. The hair is thick enough to be styled in a messy updo. The hand tied knots,on the top, are not bleached. If you order a medium to dark color it shouldn't be a big problem. If you are a light color you will need to camouflage them. This is not a lace front. There is a fabric band across the hairline that will make styling challenging. This would be a very comfortable wig if you had little to no hair. If you are willing to spend time working with your wig this could be a good choice for you.Raven

This is my first wig. I did my research, and chose Sheer Drama. I lov the waves and style My hair is long but falling out. I live in South Florida so my hair does not keep any curl in the humidity . Ok I thought perfect, I’ll have a full head of wavy hair and the color is a perfect match. Sadly I have a small head and cannot keep the wig on no matter what I do. I bought a grip but no help. So I am going to return my lovely today. I wish there were more choices in petite.Joanna

Nora is a delightful fluff and go style with waves and almost curls. I got it in color 38, which is light ash brown with grey. It is supposed to be light ash brown with 25 percent grey (it seems a bit more than that;) It would be nice if Paula Young had at least one style featured in this color. The ash brown is very close to my natural color (a bit lighter) but Nora has more grey than I do personally. Nora arrived smelling absolutely wretched; I almost gagged when I opened the box. I had to wash the wig immediately. I used Paula Young shampoo. I thought I detected the (fumigant?) odor even after the wash, but when Nora dried, she no longer smelled. When I first put her on after she'd dried she was not pretty and the curls were mashed against the cap. I shook her vigorously and then took a wide tooth comb and really brought the fibers up off the cap. I wasn't rough, but I was deliberate in going over the entire wig to revive the fibers. I was able to achieve a style very similar to the catalog photo. In my photos, Nora has a more shag-like appearance, but once on she can be fluffed to the rounded silhouette of the catalog photo. Nora fits my 22.25 inch head comfortably and could be adjusted to go even a bit larger, or smaller. I find the fibers dry to the touch and just a bit coarser than my own very fine hair (although Nora's fiber does not look coarse.) Nora is comfortable to wear and an adorable style that goes with dressy as well as casual outfits. If you are prepared to spend a few moments waking Nora up after you first get her home, I think you will be pleasantly surprised at her fluff and go versatility. Coverage around the ears and nape is great.Lisa

When this DANCE wig and COLOR ME EXQUISITE wigs arrived, upon removing them from the box they were cute, and the colors were pretty and the best thing they had going for them, However, they didn't look much like the ones the models in the pictures wore. And there is too much perma tease or "fluff" to them. They had really no style to them at all. Especially in the front, just couldn't do much with them. And didn't want to try since being careful with them is a must when trying them on. Very disappointed with these wigs. In my humble opinion they were not great and not keepers. So I am returning them and probably won't buy anymore wigs again. Sorry PY but your wigs need to be lighter weight, lay nicer, (some of us like a bit flatter style) far less perma tease or fluff, easier to wear right out of the box…Thanks anyway…Juanita

I am completely disappointed with my purchase. I ordered two of this wig because I really like the look of the style in the picture. The wigs I received will not comb into the style shown. The top is spiked and will only stand straight up and the bangs stick straight out and will not lay nicely against the forehead. I tried to tame it down with wig spray and hair gel but it won't lay down. The top hair stands straight up and the bangs stick straight out. The wig will not comb into a nice smooth pixie like the picture shows. I would not recommend a person buy this wig unless you want spiked hair that stands straight up at the top of your head and bangs that stick straight out at your forehead. The style does not resemble the picture at all !Eve

I bought this wig because it was a synthetic/ human hair blend and I thought it would last longer than a regular synthetic wig but boy was I wrong. I started wearing this wig on January 17th 2022 and it didn't even last a month before the nape started getting frizzy and sticking up in the back ( total give away that your wearing a wig) I really had high hopes for this one but was horribly disappointed! The hair on the top of the wig is lovely but Envy put cheap, horrible synthetic hair at the nape. You would think they would have learned a few things by now & would put human hair at the nape. This Emma wig didn't even last as long as a regular synthetic and was much more expensive. Take it from me ladies, I have been wearing wigs every day for the last 6 years and this wig is one of the worst I have ever had…save your money and just buy a synthetic wig.Laura S.

My bio hair is very curly, so when I saw Kaitlyn I knew I had to try her out. The trouble with this style is that the curl pattern/tightness/density DOES vary from piece to piece, so if you don't like the piece you receive, send it back for a different one. I wish I could have done that with mine – it was likely a return, and I can see why: the curls are loose and droopy and sad and sporadic. Sadly, it's a closeout item, so I'm stuck with my decision. (Absolutely NO shade to WigStudio1 – they're fabulous. This is all on me.) I'm going to wash her and see if that will perk up the curl pattern, and if it doesn't, there's always headbands! Just go into your purchase knowing you may not get the wig of your dreams on the first try. All of that said, Kaitlyn is a beautiful style and I'm looking forward to trying her again in the near future.Liz P.

Purchased in chocolate caramel as you see in the photos. I’m a natural dark brunette and it works perfect. I also have a 23 inch head and this still fit me since the cap has a nice stretch. Stays on perfect with a velvet wig grip. Love the natural looking curls, the windblown messy look, and the sort of ***** nature of this wig. The short pixie back is a little different than what I’m used to since I’ve never had a wig that is short in the back and long on top. It takes a little getting used to. Overall I can say it’s comfortable, looks natural, and is super fun. Not sure I would do this as an every day wig but with these curly wigs they are great for a fun night out, a weekend ball game, that kind of thing. I’m 50 years old and I can get away with this style. I will put a review on YouTube under it’s a wonderful wig. Highly recommended.Emily

After I received my order it was apparent that the color was just not a good one for me. I had ordered two wigs, both the same color and found that in person they were just very fake and not a natural look at all. I sent them back and then after reading the instruction found that over half the amount I paid for them was to be deducted due to the various charges they put on returns. I am very upset at this change in policy and cannot see myself using Paula Young Wigs in the future. I have been a faithful customer for over 15 years, so sorry, not anymore.Carol

A few months ago, I ordered the "Alex" wig. I love it! I ordered a second one so that I would always have it ready. While the first one was – and stil is – perfect, the second one is straggly and sloppy looking. When I first took it out of the box and followed directions (shaking, etc,) it looked ok. I put it aside til I could get a styrofoam head. Once I put it on that, it showed itself. I cannot wear it. I have not worn it. Unfortunately, I did take the tag off when I thought it was going to be ok. Please take it back and send me one that looks like the first one.Rosemary

I received the wig in a couple of weeks of ordering..I tried it on but it kept slipping off my head. The velcro tapes were set to the tightest setting. I took the wig to my hairdresser thinking it should be cut as the style was so weird.. She told me to wash it first in fairly hot water so some of the crushing from shipping would come out.. Seriously after wearing it for 30 seconds it looked like I was a cone head!! The inside just above the bangs there is a circle of heavy knit capping.. Not the stretch lace like the rest of the wig liner is made from…This is advertised as a whisper lite wig?…My head dripped with sweat in a few minutes as it just does not breathe the same as my other wigs? My hairdresser suggested it not be cut but to somehow get it made smaller. I have Alopecia so have bought and worn wigs for some years. I have always had wigs come with a stretchy lace type liner with metal adjustable clips on the elastic straps. I live in Canada so not an option to return the wig with the high postage, tax paid and the exchange rate…. So I bought some crazy glue to cinch up the elastic tapes making them shorter.. that was a total mess as the glue did not adhere the same as my other many wigs have done when the elastic stretched out.. I then pinched the material together to sew it on each side to tighten to fit my head.. I have always worn an average size wig… This one with that hard thick cone or dome inside was something else!!! Why did I take the added expense of a hairdresser as well as buying the glue?? The color of the wig and the style now that I have the cap fitting properly suits me to no end!! I look stunning in it and it looks like my own hair. My hairdresser says it does not look at all like a wig….So I made all of these compromises! I suggest that they make this Wig in all sizes so we don't have to glue or sew our fingers trying to make them smaller than Average. I suggest that the Deluxe Soft Touch Grip be sold in a smaller size as wellBrenda

The wigs did not look like what I ordered. The curls were different. It fit fine but not what I thought I ordered and I can’t even return it because I tried it on. So I was not pleased with either one of my purchases.Donnell B.

I was very excited when I saw this wig on Sherrie Shephard. The excitement disappeared immediately after I tried it. I was really disappointed. I have not worn it yet, but I will continue to work on it until I get it to work for me. So far ,not good. I'm determined to make it work.Venra E.

I have been wearing wigs since 2010. When I moved to Arizona, I needed something to put between my cap and wig because it was so hot. Well, wig secure is so soft and flexible, the rubber strip is pliable and very soft. I wear my wig secure every day 12-15 hour stretches without having to take off my wig that is how comfortable it is to wear. I have confidence that my wig is not going to shift with wind or lying down and moving, Thank you so much for this comfortable wig secure. I buy a few at a time and always keep them on stock because I never want to be without wig secure. Thank you for this great creation for those that will always have to wear beautiful wigs.Tammy

I was all kinds of skeptical about this band. Time and again I considered trying it, but didn't. I finally took the plunge and ordered one. Okay, this thing is akin to magic. It's comfortable, undetectable, and places a death grip on the wig. I'm serious. If someone had slathered my head with glue the result would have been the same (except, the glue, you know, would be messy). I literally have to make sure I have a firm grip on the wig to remove it, yet, once off, that's it. I will absolutely be ordering a second one so I can rotate if I want. A product that works better than expected? How often does that happen?Christina H.
