I had been going back and forth between gel top coats from Gelish (which you have to wipe off with alcohol after the final coat), dip powder top coats (not gel-like finish) and the polygel top coat from Makartt (the end result was very inconsistent, sometimes it dried off and you wouldn’t need to wipe off, other times it never dried but I did try using this one as a top coat for dip powder manicures so it could be it dries well with polygel only). Then I saw this set on Amazon. The reviews were not encouraging as there were many customers that had purchased other products from the same brand (PH Bond and Primer) that claimed the product had burned through their nail and had caused fungus and the skin under their nails to burn. Personally, this is my first time using this product from this brand and I am in love with the results! This is exactly what I was looking for, a base and top coat I could use for any of the different manicures I choose for the day. I can soak it and soak it for what seems like hours and I still have to file it off or scrape with an orange stick. Let me start by saying I am not a licensed cosmetologist, I’m just someone who wants to be able to give myself salon-level manicures. I ordered the IBD builder gel in Pink 2, and was super excited to try it out. At first I was thrown off by now bubblegum pink the product appeared, but it actually comes off a lot lighter and more natural looking when you apply it to the nail. The product is kind of stringy, but this isn’t a real issue, just something I wasn’t really prepared for. It works well with slip solution, and doesn’t bubble as easily as polygel so you can really go in and smooth it out. It’s not super self-leveling, probably because it tends to run a little during sculpting. I definitely recommend applying this product in multiple thin coats, though 2 really does the trick. A drawback is it’s very easy to see the separate coats after application, though this might just be user error. It’s only been a couple hours since I’ve applied these extensions, but they’re very light, not noticeable, and seem to be very strong. The gel is soft enough to file and shape by hand. I liked this product very much. You will need the liquid to thin it out . I’m still practicing with it. But I used a form that I bought on amazon that had the wire frame. And sculpted my nail. My pictures can speak for themselves. I have used OPI, Lancôme, Essie, Butter London, etc, but I always always always come back to L.A. Girl Gel Polish. I think the negative reviews on here is because of their application and not using the right top coat. The polish is seriously gel like and shiny. No bubbles or clumping. Seriously sooooo smooth! Everyone always asks me where I get my nails done and become in disbelief when I say at home on my dinner table, lol! I applied this nude color (sensual) because I am about to give birth any day now and don’t want my nails to be a distraction. I usually use Insta-Dri by Sally Hansen and absolutely love it. I tried this cause it was way cheaper and was just curious and I wish I would’ve kept those $4! It doesn’t dry like at all. I used this on top of normal polish and laid down to dry for like 2 hours and it still wasn’t dry. I finally put my feet under a blanket and it smudged everywhere. Not to mention when I went to reapply another coat after I fixed it, the cap had completely broken off from the brush. Not worth it AT ALL. Awful product.Brooke
I bought Desire and I LOVE the color once you add a few coats. However, it is thinner than I would like which leave it not looking as salon quality as it should. I use it on my toes where I’m not all that close up so it’s something I can deal with for the color but if another brand has this color I would switch. I find 3 thin coats are best. It does chip more so than an OPI so I ended up having to redo my pedicure within the week but I also did a lot of hiking and hot tub so I beat it up a little. Overall it’s ok for a cheap polish but I wouldn’t buy if anyone else had the same color. There are other clean brands out there that stay a lot longer and look salon quality for just double the price.sunshyneo8

Having tried CND, Orly, OPI, Essie, and Gelish – I can say confidently that Gelish is my favorite gel top coat of all time. If you're looking for one that really seals things in nicely, CND is great. What I like about Gelish over CND is that the consistency is definitely thicker. With that, it's easier to get an even coat because I don't have to stick the brush in for a second dip. Because of the thickness, I also find it seems to give more of a shine if that's your thing. That said, you will have to be careful with not putting on too thick or uneven of a coat because of the texture. All in all, still my go-to top coat.tian.l

I purchased the SENSATIONAIL kit a few months ago. I got so sick and tired of spending so much time painting my nails just to have them start to peel and chip a few days later. I manicures never lasted a week. So a girl I know at work used this and her nails looked sooo good, I went out after work and found the kit and purchased a couple of different colors. You must follow the directions carefully to have this work correctly, but the results are fabulous. My nail color lasted so long and my nails were strong. I found this at home gel kit on super sale at a department store! I thought I’d try it out after reviewing it on line, it is simple, straight forward! I have used the rose gold, (it’s amazing so sparkly) fuchsia is cute, and I have the pale pink gel polish. It lasts always at least 10 days for me and I put a lot of color on my nails I like bold creamy colors on my nails. I was paying 37 bucks for a gel manicure at salons after the 4th visit to another salon I called it quiets. My polish was chipping after 3 days. I paid 37 bucks and tipped for a crappy nail job the tech rushed the whole process and kept making comments that she thought I was 18 and couldn’t believe how old I was because I looked so young it was not a relaxing experience or even ok service I left feeling awkward. Best believe I went back and got a full refund and used the money to purchase this kit. Do yourself a favor and get this if you are wasting your money at terrible nail salons! For a beginner with zero experience doing my own nails this product was great. I’ve had my nails done countless times so I knew how to do it. The biggest thing is to wipe down with rubbing alcohol after curing because it is still extremely sticky otherwise. But it’s easy to build and easy to mold. This duo gets the job done but not the best compared to others. The base doesn’t always lay smoothly and that really shows on the polish. The top coat takes forever to dry and even when it’s been cured it still has a tacky feeling to it which can leave marks on your polish. DND was the first gel polish company I used. So naturally I knew nothing how about other brands. I use the top coat majority of the time when I was learning how to do nails. With that being said I loved it until I started doing more research. This top coat is not as shiny as I would like it to be, now that I have been using other brands. I have since than moved on to nailsupplyglamour top coat. What has bothered me about this brand top coat is once you use alcohol to wipe off the top layer it instantly gets dull. Now I know this is not a top coat that you need to wipe, but if you accidentally got something on it and you need to wipe it off you definitely can't use alcohol. I have since used with many other gel color brands and they work wonderfully. The top coat is NOT super-thick, like some other brands, so I use as little as possible. Also, be sure not to tilt your nails to the sides when putting into the LED/UV curing machine (doing so may result in pooled topcoat at the sides of the nail, if you have used a little too much). I typically cure my thumbs separately, so that all my fingers lay FLAT in the curing lamp. The finish is beautifully shiny and does require the sticky film to be removed with alcohol after curing the final coat. Super easy to use… with a nice slim brush (not short or thick)… Great product for the price!natasha.k

Love this awesomeness. I’m getting really good (second time using it) getting the hang of doing my apex and getting everything all salon pretty. Until I’m used to the viscosity though I just use tips under it for ease. Totally addicted to this stuff and it’s my first builder gel, only way I’d be getting a different brand was if they didn’t make or have this anymore, it comes with a little book of technique lessons too if your not already in the know either professionally or via tutorials or education- I will say though that I’d have really apriciated some mini samples of oil or something else etc but I mostly buy korean beauty products and they slather you in free samples so I’m used to being spoiled ?. I bought this as a nail strengther and I’m not disappointed. I’m not a professional nail tech, but I am a bit of a perfectionist. The booklet that comes with the product is very informative and super easy to follow. The brush is a perfect size and cleans easily after use, with a little bit of acetone nail varnish remover. I found thin layers and curing in between each worked best. Also holding my hand upside down (nails facing downwards) for 10 secs before curing, helped get it away from the sides of the nails and skin, as well as making it even out. This will easily last me months if I just use it for strengthening, there’s more in the pot than you think. For me it is worth the higher price.Margarete

The only reason this gel polish doesn't get a 5 star is because it is an absolute pain to get off. I can soak it and soak it for what seems like hours and I still have to file it off or scrape with an orange stick. The colours are beautiful, it is easy to apply for a beginner and it doesnt pool at the edges of your nail. Another great bonus is that the top coat does not require alcohol wiping, so for those with tight c curved nails, like me, you get much better coverage and top coat seal!kayla.m
I recently started doing my own gel nails at home and I love this top coat. It is no wipe so you do not have a sticky residue left over. I will always recommend to friends! At home gel nails are the way to go. I have weaker nails and this helps strengthen them without the salon price.mckenna.d
Who knows when their overhead mechanism was made. I had the manual and that was no help. So the hardest part was finding the correct setup code [which I then wrote down]. But it does just exactly what it is supposed to do. But do keep your manual. Sometimes a power outage will require a reset. I know someone who bought a new one rather than pay for a repairman which would have cost MUCH more., all because didn't keep the manual.lorilohman
