I actually like the Seche Vive a bit better than the Seche Vite. It is thicker, which I like, but truthfully you probably only get to use half the bottle because it becomes very viscous and hard when you get down to the bottom. love this top coat! It definitely dries quickly, my nails are dry and hard within minutes – perfect if you are someone who paints their nails at night but wants to avoid getting sheet marks on the polish. I like the consistency, it is slightly on the thinner side, but is easy to manipulate and isn’t too runny. It dries to a shiny finish. I don’t have any issues with shrinkage using this top coat, my manicures always look in tip-top shape. This top coat is definitely chip resistant, I can usually get 5 days out of a mani when I use this, and I am someone who is quite hard on their hands. I also find that I don’t get tip wear when using this top coat. It is compatible with all of my nail polishes (mostly OPI and Essie with some SinfulColors and Essence). I have used Seche Vite top coat for years. I recently got a three pack from Amazon and they are awful. I’ve ordered from their store on Amazon several times before and haven’t had this big of an issue. I’ve kind of always had the shrinkage problem with Seche Vite, but now it looks worse (the lines on the side of my nails where you can see where the top coat is on top of the color). Now though it lifts up the nail polish and chips off in sheets. I make sure to not get the top coat on my skin so there isn’t a lot to lift up, but still it lifts up on the sides of my nails and around my cuticles the next day. I’m also getting more chips, again the next day. I don’t know if this is just a batch problem, but I feel like I may stay clear of Seche Vite for a while. I ordered Glisten Glow’s top coat after I read amazing reviews so hopefully that will work out better!kari.w
I've been using this product for the past two years and it's been my go to top coat . My nail polish will last for about 5-7 days , while using this top coat. I've used other top coats in the past but this one is the best one. Also, it provided a nice finish to your nails after polishing. Get this top coat and you won't regret it. I just wished the formula would stay the same even when you're running low on the product. I hope the company looks into this because it's my only complaint. The top coat should be usable until the bottle is empty .
This top coat really is fast drying, but not only that, it dries to a hard lacquered finish. The best thing about it is that it's meant to be used over still wet nail polish; it's far more convenient to go straight into your top coat than having to wait minutes for each coat to dry down. The only issue this polish has is that it shrinks. You have to be careful to completely cover all areas where polish is with this top coat, because otherwise there will be a line of demarcation where the top coat has shrunk a bit. Not a huge deal, but can be very apparent and annoying if you're doing a plain black crème polish (not fun to have to re-do a nail). I really adore this Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Too Coat in "Unicorn". Right in the bottle is a mix of beautiful fine shimmer in different colors to give a "unicorn" effect, which looks incredible in the sun, and if I had to describe a unicorn, it would be sparkly, magical and colorful! I used this top coat over Sally Hansen Miracle Gel in "Sugar Fix" and it worked perfectly to add a gorgeous suble shimmer of colors that made me want to constantly look at my nails in different directions to capture the shimmer and color. Unfortunately, the camera cannot the capture the true beauty and sparkle of this unicorn top coat like your eye can in real life. This top cat would go great with any and all colors to give your color a little sparkle and flair. Lasted all week and removal was easy as well. I definitely would recommend it.
I got this product complimentary from Influenster and sally hansen in exchange for my honest review. I got the color sugar fix and the topcoat color of Crystal. The colors were definitely pretty so that was a nice plus. As you can see in the pics, the second pic shows each color with one coat. It is very sheer so definitely you need two coats for it to completely cover your nails. The third pic shows each nail with two coats which covered nicely. The pointer nail has the sugarvfix with the Crystal topcoat on top and it is very pretty with a nice sparkle. It dries pretty quickly too which is another plus. What I did not like about these is that the polish scrapes off your nail pretty easily so there was not a long period of staying power. Also, the wand of the brush is like a flat piece of glass with the bristles at the end. I personally did not like this and found it difficult to get the wand in and out of the bottle. I much prefer round wands which go in and out of the bottle much easier. The polish and the topcoat were also not super shiny like other polishes. I found them both to be a little matte, than super shiny. I prefer more shiny and glossy. Just my preference though. The polish did come off easy with nail polish remover which was nice. This base is a light blue/periwinkle type color. It is thicker consistency so it doesn't chip as much as acrylic or regular paint. the color is bold and beautiful! This polish lasted so long on my nails doing my daily work and tasks and didn't chip! It is much thicker lacquer due to it being gel and chip resistant. I was hesitant to buy this because I didn't think it could be THAT much different than the other top coats i had tried. I have a sally hansen, 60 second dry, and a ORLY topcoat already but NONE of them compare to this.This topcoat is thick, which makes it pretty easy to apply to be honest because its more obvious where you're put it. And as long as you paint the cap or edge of your nails you will notice how much longer it lasts. I actually like the Seche Vive a bit better than the Seche Vite. It is thicker, which I like, but truthfully you probably only get to use half the bottle because it becomes very viscous and hard when you get down to the bottom. I usually pick Seche up on sale or at an off-price retailer, so I don't mind that I am unable to use all the product. It gives a plump, gel effect and lasts longer than any other topcoat I've tried. Plus, it has an unmistakable, glossy sheen that other topcoats can't compete with. Ive tried a lot of products hoping my nails would stop chipping and breaking. Nothing worked, I even gave in into trying Opi Nail Envy which has formaldehyde, I didnt see any difference on the contrary it made my nails worse. I find this product excellent when compared with the horrific chemical "stuff" at most nail salons. However, there is a difference between the regular top coat and the gel top coat….the latter has a stronger odor. I like this brand a lot for their clean business model and would love to write a stellar review, but after giving this many try's, I can't see any difference or visible addition of shine or protection that it gives to my nails or with regard to nail color protection. The brush is nice as an applicator and goes on well I like the design of the bottle- it's a little slimmer than most that I have which are round or square and easy to store or carry. I'm giving it a neutral review with a tip towards the positive because of the quality of product, style, company mission but not based on any functional qualities.

I have used Seche Vite top coat for years. I recently got a three pack from Amazon and they are awful. I’ve ordered from their store on Amazon several times before and haven’t had this big of an issue. I’ve kind of always had the shrinkage problem with Seche Vite, but now it looks worse (the lines on the side of my nails where you can see where the top coat is on top of the color). Now though it lifts up the nail polish and chips off in sheets. I make sure to not get the top coat on my skin so there isn’t a lot to lift up, but still it lifts up on the sides of my nails and around my cuticles the next day. I’m also getting more chips, again the next day. I don’t know if this is just a batch problem, but I feel like I may stay clear of Seche Vite for a while. I ordered Glisten Glow’s top coat after I read amazing reviews so hopefully that will work out better!kari.w
I've been using this product for the past two years and it's been my go to top coat . My nail polish will last for about 5-7 days , while using this top coat. I've used other top coats in the past but this one is the best one. Also, it provided a nice finish to your nails after polishing. Get this top coat and you won't regret it. I just wished the formula would stay the same even when you're running low on the product. I hope the company looks into this because it's my only complaint. The top coat should be usable until the bottle is empty .
This top coat really is fast drying, but not only that, it dries to a hard lacquered finish. The best thing about it is that it's meant to be used over still wet nail polish; it's far more convenient to go straight into your top coat than having to wait minutes for each coat to dry down. The only issue this polish has is that it shrinks. You have to be careful to completely cover all areas where polish is with this top coat, because otherwise there will be a line of demarcation where the top coat has shrunk a bit. Not a huge deal, but can be very apparent and annoying if you're doing a plain black crème polish (not fun to have to re-do a nail). That said, once you know that, it's not too difficult to be mindful of covering the entire painted surface. This top coat will be the best you’ve ever used if you use it correctly. The first few times I tried it I was very disappointed with it. Hours after painting my nails, I was still getting smudges and nicks in the polish. It looked as though it was getting smudged and cloudy, and there was no shine. Then, I tried letting my coats dry A LOT longer then I usually would, and I dried them with a mini fan. After THAT, I had a shiny manicure that lasted over a week with little to no chipping. So- if you have the time to let your coats dry quite a long time, and/or an instrument to dry them (fan) then you will have great results!sd
Love this from OPI! OPI has recently become my new fave brand when it comes to nails. The finishing base coat and top coat work emmensly and has the quickest drying time I’ve ever experienced! I have been using this top coat on my nails for years and I love it because it leaves my nail polish so shiny. It's quite thick so you don't need much on the brush and I would recommend you do wipe the brush up the side of the bottle to remove some before you go in and apply it over your nail polish colour. Sometimes the brush does turn the same colour as the nail polish I'm applying it to but that doesn't effect the top coat at all. It also protects the edges of my nails from chipping too. The only thing that I don't particularly like is that it does take longer to dry that other brands I've used so that's why I'm giving it 4 stars.

I really think this stuff helps prevent chipping. I have been wearing a regular Essie polish with this Sally Hansen as a top and base coat and am going on 7 days with no chipping. I did wrap the tips with polish and top coat and still experienced shrinking at the tip of the nail which i'm not thrilled about, but no chipping at all! I also did prep my nails and wiping them with rubbing alcohol to aide with the polish sticking and I think it helped! I have used many top coats, most around the $10-12 mark and this one this is my favorite. I have been using this bottle for about 4 months and the consistency has not changed at all. Sometimes to keep them extra shiny, I put on another layer of top coat a few days in, but I did not in the scenario above and am still very happy with the results!amanda.s
This stuff is amazing! I can't believe this doesn't have a 100% rating. I was surprised to see that people said that the OPI Natural Nail Strengthener peeled off soon after they applied it. I have not had that problem at all. It dries very quickly, which makes it easier to add more coats. This has helped my long nails stay strong and healthy looking. I would be devastated when my long nails broke, but now they don't break, thanks to this polish from OPI! This is my holy grail nail product. I purchased this myself as it was readily available at my local drugstore. I’m an active mom of three and I’m tough on nail polish, sometimes it chips on day one. This does help prolong the nail polish on my fingernails, although still I will inevitably chip a nail in a day or two. On my toenails though, this top coat will last weeks. This is a gorgeous, totally unique peachy pink, but it never seems to fully dry. Just 24 hours later, it smudges, scrapes, and chips easily. And this is a fresh, new bottle! I'm annoyed. The formula is somewhat thick, opaque and streaky. Pooling at the cuticles can be a problem because it is a bit drippy, so you have to be pretty careful. Furthermore, it tends to bubble as it dries. Application was frustrating. Making smooth, even strokes on long nails was difficult. It needed three or four coats to level out the streaks. I cut my nails short a week later and tried this polish again. On short nails, it was much easier to get smooth, even strokes with less streaking. This time I only needed three coats. This polish was not worth the hassle to apply to long nails. Since it takes so long to dry, I waited at least an hour between coats. This is an unreasonable amount of time to have to wait to recoat. This polish requires three or four coats to look good and really pop, and waiting so long between coats made for an excruciatingly long process. When several nails smudged the next day and a few chipped, I was super disappointed. The color is pretty, but it's all for naught since it never dries and is therefore unwearable. Bummer. EDIT: A dupe for this color is China Glaze Pink of Me, which I haven't tried yet. The closest color I have in my collection is Orly Prelude to a Kiss. While less pink, it offers easy, fast, flawless, streak-free application that dries quickly and looks like a pro manicure. Orly Prelude to a Kiss has the best brush and formula I've used in a long, long time. I highly recommend it.ihatespots

I used this last night for the first time. I had done a design that I was really proud of, but when I put on the topcoat, it immediately smeared the design, even though the polish underneath had had plenty of time to dry. I went to bed an hour later, assuming it would be fine since this bills itself as a quick drying top coat. I woke up with sheet imprints and one nail with the polish pushed and crumpled so there was a large bare patch. I’m very disappointed in the product – maybe it’s just a bad batch, but it performed as if I’d not even bothered. Even hours later, the promised “super-hard finish” has not developed. If you want a quick-drying topcoat that has a hard finish that preserves designs, get something else.
I was really excited to try this top coat. I have quite a collection of them and am always looking to see what’s new. I was not overly impressed with this top coat. It looked flawless at first but the following day is when I started noticing trouble when the tips of my nails were already losing their color underneath and starting to show signs of wear. I know this is bound to happen but I take very god care of my nails and always wear gloves when washing dishes or using hot water for cleaning. Besides that, I thought it was a lovely polish that was super shiny. I also was unimpressed with how long my nails took to dry afterwards. It definitely wasn’t the quickest. This was my first Orly product to ever try and it definitely did not disappoint me. I had seen this brand at target but I didnt want to buy it and not like it so I just always stuck with Sally Hanson. Even though I dont necessarily like Sally's products I tend to buy and go with what i know instead of venturing out, I pain that on being a cancer. Last year my nails were in bad shape and I finally took the risk, not because i was brave but because the products I usually got were stole out of. This made my nails hard and felt good. I found this quick dry coat from Sally's Beauty Supplies over a year ago I don't do my nails without it (unless I'm doing a gel set). I was switching between 2 others before finding INM I always had problems with chipping, shrinking or my nail polish would literally shrink. I saw this on the bottom shelf with clear coats, hardener the 2 other supposedly fast dry top coats polish I already owned but didn't like. I decided to give INM a try because why not it was under $5. I tried it very shortly after purchasing after the first try I was in love with this quick dry nail topper. Without a UV light it takes a good 15 to 20 mins to dry your fresh polish completely but if yo use a UV light it's dry in 90 seconds! Um talking dry meaning you can actually use your hands like normal. I can't live without this dry top coat when doing my nails or toe nails. To doesn't chip your polish or shrink it. It also doesn't have a ridiculous smell it's very reasonably priced. It only takes 1 coat to fully dry the nails so almost over a year I'm at the bottom of my 1st bottle (but I also do switch between gel polish regular polish). I bought my 2nd bottle when I used over 75% of my first bottle. I'm very surprised that I haven't seen nail bloggers talk about this fast dry top coat before. They seem to never share the very most important things with their followers. I'm glad I shop around for different products or I would have passed this nail gem up without a 2nd thought. The only colors I have ever noticed get left on the brush are very strong super pigmented colors like deep red, dark blues some blacks. Other then those colors I never see any polish on the brush. I have a great experience with L.A colors nail polish especially the color last formula! I own this in many shades and personally I find it better than some high end nail polish brands such as China Glaze. One coat is often more than enough, it lasts a long time and does not stain the nails. The shade Eternal is one of my favorites because it’s a perfect nude that elongates your fingers! I really like this topcoat. Great price, dries fast, no shrinkage, and stays shiny for several days with no chipping. One small issue that I feel the need to mention though- once it dries, it smells like onions. I swear I'm not joking lol. The first time I used it I kept catching whiffs of a very distinct onion stench and nearly drove myself crazy trying to find the source. I can't stand onions, so no way did I eat some oniony meal and the smell was just lingering on my person. Had my sister hidden a raw onion in my room to prank me? Nope, IT WAS MY NAILS. At first I thought maybe it was the glitter polish I used underneath it so I did a different manicure a few days later, but it's definitely the topcoat. It is absolutely bizarre and I can't for the life of me figure out why it smells like this. No weird ingredients, just a short list of standard nail polish ingredients. I have been using this top coat forever and thought I was just awful at doing nails. But nope, it's this top coat! It does NOT dry. Hours later I will touch something get a wet looking imprint on my nail or have a part completely smear off. I'm not even heavy handed with this stuff and it's awful. My nails don't even last a full day with this top coat, they immediately look bad and start pulling the paint off dry nails.Brittany
This polish does take a long time to dry/cure (being in the cold helps,) but once it does, its staying power is amazing. I use it as a top coat for my nails, but I also paint it on the tips of my kids’ hockey sticks and skis to keep them from chipping and splitting. No joke, it is the best product I have found for this “off-brand” purpose. It bonds great to these laminated surfaces, to other glues/fillers/adhesives (we sometimes fill in big ruts with epoxy,) and to fingernails, of course, and something about the acrylic in the formula must give it just enough flex to stand up to the abuse these pieces of athletic equipment sustain on a continuous basis. I will say that if you try to apply a second coat of this the brush does tend to get caught on the first coat and drag a bit, so for manicures I would stick to one coat, and to load the brush up generously when applying so you get a nice, clean stroke every time. 🙂April
the top coat dries quickly, and my polish didn't chip while using it – the edges of the tips seem to just push back instead of chipping. HOWEVER for some reason, I always find tiny holes in my nail polish that grow over time when I use this top coat. I've noticed it with different colors and formulas now, including a shimmery sally hansen argan oil polish, a pink olive and june polish, and the one coat black holo taco polish. the top coat dries with little bumps, which eventually turn into tiny holes (needle to toothpick sized) that burn through the polish, and I can see down to my natural nail bed through). at first I thought it might just be a weird reaction to specific polish combinations, but now i'm giving up and tossing this bottle.bri
