Revlon Unicornicornicopia Holochrome nail polish is beautiful. It glides on smoothly as long as enough drying time (2-3 min between coats) is given. I initially put a second coat on 45 seconds later and had some clumpiness – user mistake. To me, Unicornicornicopia looks like a shimmery (not glittery or sand-like) lavender color that – with movement and light – looks like a bluish steel (grayish) color. So the polish color takes on differing shades as it maintains shimmer. Using no base coat or top coat, I wore this enamel for four days before chipping started. I imagine that it could be worn longer without chipping if basecoat and topcoat were used. To give even more depth of color, a third coat of Unicornicornicopia is a good idea. At a retail price of $6.49 Revlon Holochrome Nail Enamel is a great value. Unicornicornicopia could be worn for fancy (holiday, proms/homecomings, weddings, tea parties, etc) or be worn casually for a little sparkle day-to-day. It is truly Unicorn Holo Shimmer Magic. I've used Revlon Nail Enamel more years than I care to admit. this has always been my "go to" polish, in shade Serene (320) for work and :play:, Once in a while I'd lighten the shade up i the summer, but always back to the favorite. No, apparently it's been discontinued and what's left around is way too expensive to even think about buying. The biggest thing I love about this polish is it didn't destroy my nails. After taking the polish off, my nails weren't dry, brittle, chipping and didn't break as much when kept polished. Tried the gel nails once, took me months to get my nails re-grown, needless to say, I went right back to a lite shade of the enamel, then back to Serene. Won't make that mistake again. Question is, what shade will work as well as that, have Totally Toffee, but it's a bit darker and I absolutely don't do pinks or weird color. Am a porcelain skinned strawberry blonde with green eyes and reds/pinks look horrible on me. Any color with a gray overtone makes my nails look like they are dead. So, unless I can talk Revlon into bringing back that particular color, anyone have any ideas on shades along that line?Gigi
This review is technically supposed to be for the shade Privileged, but I have so many of these Revlon nail polishes that I would like to talk about all the ones I own. The formulation is pretty consistent across the board. The brush is a good size- not too thick, not too thin, not too sparse. It gives me the control that I need to get a thin and even layer on, as opposed to some cheaper brushes that would result in clumping or taking away product. The only shades I would say are little sheer and need 3 coats for the most impact are 660 Divine and 909 Sheer Petal. Divine doesn't look like it from just looking at the bottle, but once applied on the nails, is a vampy brownish red. Sheer Petal is quite pale and has a delicate kind of beauty, but beware, the sheerness can exaggerate an uneven application. All the other polishes I have look pretty great in 2 coats: 570 Vixen, 450 Hypnotic, 917 Plum Seduction, 215 Daydreamer, 640 Fearless, 715 Privileged, 415 Totally Toffee, 320 Serene, 915 Creme Brulee, 020 Pure Petal, 905 Sophisticated, 410 Dreamer, 590 Trendy, 585 Bohemian, and 495 Sultry. I absolutely hate waiting for polish to dry. We all got stuff ta to you know? What's worse is waking up realizing that you've somehow smeared your polish that should have dried hours ago in your sleep. Can anyone relate? Well that was not happen with this polish. It dries so quickly that unless you're just not paying attention you can't mess it up. It goes on well too, as well as any polish I've tried and I don't buy the cheap stuff. Here's the cons. It chips easily if you do not wear gloves when doing work around the house or if you have to wash your hands a lot. It's also hard to remove. I scrub and scrub and the three kinds I have with shimmer in them, the glitter wants to hang on no matter what. Then there's the health of my nails. I'm pretty sure that this polish has made my nails peel at the tips so it's probably drying my nails. Ok so if you need a quick manicure this is the polish for you. If you hate waiting or just don't have time to wait this is the polish for you. This is some of the best nail polish I've tried, and I do home manis every week. The colors are on point, more unique than other brands which is one thing I love about this brand. This formula dries smooth and clear, and lasts. I wash my hands a lot and polish only lasts 2-3 days before I need a touch up, but it's easy to touch up and color blends smoothly. Best of all, it does dry quickly which is a huge selling point for me because I tend to paint my nails before bed while winding down and watching TV, and never seem to leave enough time for them to dry before I'm ready for bed! I find this product excellent when compared with the horrific chemical "stuff" at most nail salons. However, there is a difference between the regular top coat and the gel top coat….the latter has a stronger odor. I have noticed this when I leave my place and return later and there is a slight smell in the air as I enter! This is a small complaint in the scheme of things.Joanne M.
I like this brand a lot for their clean business model and would love to write a stellar review, but after giving this many try's, I can't see any difference or visible addition of shine or protection that it gives to my nails or with regard to nail color protection. The brush is nice as an applicator and goes on well I like the design of the bottle- it's a little slimmer than most that I have which are round or square and easy to store or carry. love this top coat! It definitely dries quickly, my nails are dry and hard within minutes – perfect if you are someone who paints their nails at night but wants to avoid getting sheet marks on the polish. I like the consistency, it is slightly on the thinner side, but is easy to manipulate and isn’t too runny. It dries to a shiny finish. I don’t have any issues with shrinkage using this top coat, my manicures always look in tip-top shape. This top coat is definitely chip resistant, I can usually get 5 days out of a mani when I use this, and I am someone who is quite hard on their hands. I also find that I don’t get tip wear when using this top coat. It is compatible with all of my nail polishes (mostly OPI and Essie with some SinfulColors and Essence). I love doing my nails at home and am always down to dry new products. By far, this has been my LEAST favorite item to have tried. When using this product, it caused a few air bubbles underneath my nail polish and not only does it take forever to dry, but when it actually does, it is almost impossible not to mess up your nails after that. My first time trying out the Sally Hansen Hard as Nails regular polish I was skeptical. For a price point of less than two dollars I figured it'd be more of an emergency polish. In reality it holds up quite well (I've been wearing the shade 570: Cemented for a few days now). Another excellent colour and formula in this polish. I have the “Molten My Day” which is more of a Dark Pink than a Hot Pink as described. It is definitely a Holographic formula as it shifts from pink, gold, and a beautiful deep orange-gold that looks amazing on my toes and will likely be difficult to take your eyes off of when worn on your fingernails. This colour will look perfect with a summer tan and will also easily transition into fall/winter, which is why I chose this one over the others to try first. As usual, the formula is pretty much opaque with one coat but I find the effect enhances when worn with two coats. It is VERY quick to dry so two coats shouldn’t take any longer than other brands that are more difficult to apply. Nails Inc uses the best brush/applicator I’ve ever tried and completely covers your whole nail in one-two swipes with little going outside of the nail bed since the brush actually “hugs” the nail. The formula NEVER bubbles or streaks and seems to cover nail imperfections easily. Since I’ve been using this brand exclusively for the past 6 months or so (with their NailKale Superfood Base coat, Kensington Caviar 45 Second Top Coat and their Superfood Repair Oil 2-3 times a week on cuticles and fingertips) my nails have stopped cracking, peeling and breaking and have now become very hard and healthydaviana.e
This nail polish is really easy to use and the price is very good for the amount you get. It makes my nails feel really nice and strong after applying. It dries fairly quickly. I'm very particular when it comes to black nail polish. I've been painting my nails for years black. I want it to be a gorgeous dark, deep black. Not watery, and preferably one coat would be enough for the color to completely saturate the nail. I hate a streaky, watery nail polish. I don't mind putting a second coat to fix any minor streaks ir imperfections. But this nail polish was gorgeous, has a great shine, glossy look. Don't get me wrong, the application of this polish is incredibly smooth and you get quite a bit of nice coverage with just one swipe, and I've had this polish for over a year and it has yet to get thick and sticky – it's the same consistency as when I bought it and still applies incredibly well. For as inexpensive as this is, I'd say it's a steal. There's one drawback: if you apply this on a Friday night, expect it to start chipping off Monday morning. It's good for a fun weekend but don't expect any sort of long wear with this. I adore this classic black and I do use this frequently.

I actually like the Seche Vive a bit better than the Seche Vite. It is thicker, which I like, but truthfully you probably only get to use half the bottle because it becomes very viscous and hard when you get down to the bottom. I usually pick Seche up on sale or at an off-price retailer, so I don't mind that I am unable to use all the product. It gives a plump, gel effect and lasts longer than any other topcoat I've tried. i cant say enough good things about opi. i use so many of their products. this product is a 3 in 1. it works as a base coat, a top coat, and a strengthening formula. it’s clear, but it looks so good on the nail. it’s strengthens my nails really well. and it’s easy to apply other coats to it if you want. or stickers. would definitely recommend!jennifer.f
If I don't use this my nail polish always smudges and won't dry. I always apply a base coat then 2 coats of colour followed by this OPI RapiDry Top Coat. It dries everything in less than 1 minute and then I can go about my day. I still make sure that I wear open toed shoes the day I paint my toenails as I'm paranoid of it smudging but it really does dry it rapidly. It also makes my nail polish colour look really shiny and prevents the edges from chipping. If you are looking for something that really does dry rapidly then I would recommend this to you.
What happened to this formula! This product used to be the bee's knees…it is awful now! Such a waste of money. It is so thick and goopy…I've tried 3 bottles recently, in hopes it was a bad batch or something…and all were junky! It ruins your painted nails, smudged, streaked and bubbles. Even if you use A TON of product, and get lucky enough for it to dry…there are still going to be tiny bubbles. Also, it literally doesn't dry through with a base + 2 color coats. I’ve ordered from their store on Amazon several times before and haven’t had this big of an issue. I’ve kind of always had the shrinkage problem with Seche Vite, but now it looks worse (the lines on the side of my nails where you can see where the top coat is on top of the color). Now though it lifts up the nail polish and chips off in sheets. I make sure to not get the top coat on my skin so there isn’t a lot to lift up, but still it lifts up on the sides of my nails and around my cuticles the next day. I’m also getting more chips, again the next day. I don’t know if this is just a batch problem, but I feel like I may stay clear of Seche Vite for a while. I ordered Glisten Glow’s top coat after I read amazing reviews so hopefully that will work out better!kari.w

The best thing about it is that it's meant to be used over still wet nail polish; it's far more convenient to go straight into your top coat than having to wait minutes for each coat to dry down. The only issue this polish has is that it shrinks. You have to be careful to completely cover all areas where polish is with this top coat, because otherwise there will be a line of demarcation where the top coat has shrunk a bit. Not a huge deal, but can be very apparent and annoying if you're doing a plain black crème polish (not fun to have to re-do a nail). That said, once you know that, it's not too difficult to be mindful of covering the entire painted surface. This top coat will be the best you’ve ever used if you use it correctly. The first few times I tried it I was very disappointed with it. Hours after painting my nails, I was still getting smudges and nicks in the polish. It looked as though it was getting smudged and cloudy, and there was no shine. Then, I tried letting my coats dry A LOT longer then I usually would, and I dried them with a mini fan. After THAT, I had a shiny manicure that lasted over a week with little to no chipping. So- if you have the time to let your coats dry quite a long time, and/or an instrument to dry them (fan) then you will have great results!sd
Love this from OPI! OPI has recently become my new fave brand when it comes to nails. The finishing base coat and top coat work emmensly and has the quickest drying time I’ve ever experienced! They’ve knocked all my other nail products out the park! I was super pleased with my application process. So many nail salons use the brand OPI and it has been featured in Hollywood movies! I have been using this top coat on my nails for years and I love it because it leaves my nail polish so shiny. It's quite thick so you don't need much on the brush and I would recommend you do wipe the brush up the side of the bottle to remove some before you go in and apply it over your nail polish colour. Sometimes the brush does turn the same colour as the nail polish I'm applying it to but that doesn't effect the top coat at all. It also protects the edges of my nails from chipping too. The only thing that I don't particularly like is that it does take longer to dry that other brands I've used so that's why I'm giving it 4 stars.

Ho Ho holy moly! This is an AMAZING polish! Most glitter polishes (which is the version I’m reviewing) smear when you put them on or don’t show up at all. This Deep Sea Diamonds polish shows up and then some! It not only has small glitter but bigger pieces as well which makes it super sparkly! I’m wearing it over a darker color but you can definitely wear this on its own. Two coats is all you need but you can get away with one. This is probably one of my favourite nail polishes. I love the shade of green and the non-goopy application of it. It’s also lasted longer than any of the other expensive polish brands I own (all the ones that promise no chips for two weeks and then they chip next day no matter how careful you are). I’ve gotten a bit less than a week’s wear out of it, but even now it’s only a couple chips on a few fingers, which is to be expected because I’m a mom of young kids, so I am constantly doing something with my hands and washing them. I see other reviewers mentioning how sheer applications are, which is true, but it just means you need a couple extra coats, which honestly isn’t a big deal; I find that most polishes, no matter how much coverage they give you, need additional coats anyways. When I use this polish along with the Miracle Gel top coat, I get a solid week out of the nails before I get any chipping. Usually I only have to repaint them when the nails are growing out too much. Dries quickly, so apply quickly and carefully. This is a great middle ground between regular polish and real gel, meaning it is great for home use. You can get thick coverege that hides your ridges without needing to buff your nails if you do 2 color and 1 top coat. I'm in the process of replacing all my existing polishes with Miracle Gel versions.LH

I really love the vibrant colour. It looks great when applied and is also easy to apply. It has lasted quite well on my toenails. Unfortunately on fingernails it scratches and wears off very quickly – more quickly then ordinary varnishes. Usually I am not one to spend money on nail polish since I wear them so selectively but figured that I would give this one a shot since the ingredients are wonderful! Really impressed with the quality. Only a bit of sparkle/shine on this particular color and for a 'pleasing peach', it can look like a light pink in different lights instead of orange. So I would compromise with, its a pink orange with light changing abilities 🙂 Still has a slight nail polish smell but better than other products I have used. I found this quick dry coat from Sally's Beauty Supplies over a year ago I don't do my nails without it (unless I'm doing a gel set). I was switching between 2 others before finding INM I always had problems with chipping, shrinking or my nail polish would literally shrink. I saw this on the bottom shelf with clear coats, hardener the 2 other supposedly fast dry top coats polish I already owned but didn't like. I decided to give INM a try because why not it was under $5. I tried it very shortly after purchasing after the first try I was in love with this quick dry nail topper. Without a UV light it takes a good 15 to 20 mins to dry your fresh polish completely but if yo use a UV light it's dry in 90 seconds! Um talking dry meaning you can actually use your hands like normal. I can't live without this dry top coat when doing my nails or toe nails. To doesn't chip your polish or shrink it. It also doesn't have a ridiculous smell it's very reasonably priced. It only takes 1 coat to fully dry the nails so almost over a year I'm at the bottom of my 1st bottle (but I also do switch between gel polish regular polish). I bought my 2nd bottle when I used over 75% of my first bottle. I'm very surprised that I haven't seen nail bloggers talk about this fast dry top coat before. They seem to never share the very most important things with their followers. I'm glad I shop around for different products or I would have passed this nail gem up without a 2nd thought. The only colors I have ever noticed get left on the brush are very strong super pigmented colors like deep red, dark blues some blacks. Other then those colors I never see any polish on the brush. I put my nails through a lot (gardening, wirewrapping, dog training, etc.), and I'm a very basic , messy, not at all accomplished nail painter. This is a good product for my lifestyle. It dries quickly and provides some protection to my color. The smell is not overpowering. When I use Seche Vite, I can get 3 or 4 days of wear before the chipping begins. With this product I usually get 2 days, unless I'm doing a lot of wirewrapping, then I sometimes only get 1 day before the edges begin to look rough.I have found that it's important to let layers of polish dry thoroughly before applying this top coat.carolyn.j

This was my first purchase from ORLY and I am IN LOVE. Love the formula, love the brush. At first I felt the brush didn't pick up product as it should, but the shape of the brush is the BEST I've used. I always struggle to cover the side edges of my nails with polish, but this brush is designed perfectly for that. It very easily spread over my nail and down to the edge WITHOUT straying onto my skin. As for coverage, the first coat didn't dry so quickly that I couldn't go back and fully cover the nail. Exactly what I wanted in a red! Bright and showy, yet elegant and gorgeous! Perfect for manis and pedis. Fun for going to the local festival on Saturday afternoon as well as sophisticated for dancing at an evening soiree. I have been searching for a true red that was not orange-y or too burgundy and this is the shade I wanted. I like the Breathable line. They seem to endure longer than most other polishes and make my somewhat soft nails stronger. FYI: I was NOT compensated for this review. I ordered online and the shipment was delayed by the carrier(s), but once I contacted Orly, their customer service followed up and shipment was expedited from where it had stalled. Problem resolved. It's bright and colorful and is fairly easy to apply in terms of getting a perfect amount of all the different glitter pieces on your nail. I did dab once or twice with the brush after brushing it on to try to place a couple of the larger bits a little more strategically, and it worked like a charm. I'm attaching a photo with it Turn It Up over two coats of Here Comes the Sun. If you see micro bubbles in the clear portion of the polish, please ignore! I don't know how people would stamp without this! It has never smudged any of my stamping. Try it without. Lol. You'll want to cry when your crisp stamps turn into a messy blur with one tiny swipe. The formula is exactly as described: thinner and not made to be a shiny, smooth shell. It's a top coat that seals your hard work and does it's job perfectly! The only issue I had was adding a thicker top coat over it, but that was my fault. I chose my regular favorite insta-dry (always my go to with kids and pets in my house), and used it after an hour of the smudge- free drying. Too soon. I didn't factor in that the formula is be more alcohol-heavy and it ate the smudge-free and ruined the stamping. If I let the smudge-free dry overnight, I can top it with zero issue.Katherine E.
Good: didn't smudge! Yay! Negative: tries feeling tacky, when I put a traditional topcoat on top of it, it had a vinyl-like finish that "flexes" rather than a glassy finish, and feels thick and dents and nicks. My manicure looks great is lasting for now but I'm worried it will start peeling soon. Next time I use I will try a different traditional topcoat or put on thinner layers and see if that improves things.Irene T.
I didn't like them at all at first. My daughter actually figured out how to do it. When I did get the gist, I noticed the mess and stress it causes me. I like the idea, if the process actually worked and looked like the stamps, then it was okay. But if the image didn't transfer over, it looked weird. The top coat is rough if it isn't put on correctly and then didn't last much more than a few days before it began to wear away. I wouldn't recommend them if you don't have patience and don't mind everything being covered in polish and like strange looking almost stars on your nails for all to see. For a beginner with zero experience doing my own nails this product was great. I’ve had my nails done countless times so I knew how to do it. The biggest thing is to wipe down with rubbing alcohol after curing because it is still extremely sticky otherwise. But it’s easy to build and easy to mold. I recommendUpdate* I haven’t been doing this very long, but I find after a week or so it starts to life around my cuticles. I’m not sure if it’s because I don’t prep my natural nail enough or I just still am in the learning stage. But I still love it! Very easy to use!dani.s
I love this builder gel and actually can't recommend it enough! This is the one and only brand I go for simply because it is affordable and such good quality too. Can fault it at all! It is easy to work with, cures beautiful, long lasting and it is actually nice and clear. I've found some other brands cure with a yellow tint which obviously isn't what you want when it's meant to be clear. This is the best builder gel out there in my opinion. As a nail tech, I know many other nail techs who will only use this product too. 100% recommendsammiejo.n
This was the first product that I used when I started doing my own gel nails. What I love about it is that it doesn't smell it's self leveling and you barely have to use the electric file. There's only one thing I would change and that's the burning feeling when curing although only lasts for a sec its not pleasant. The price is a bit high but the quality is so worth it .jasmine.c
