I trim my cat's claws about once a week, and after buying a second set of these great stainless steel nail trimmers (admittedly: because I misplaced my first pair), I thought it was high time to toss in a review to let others know how nice they are. I purchased these stainless steel pet nail trimmers in the small-medium size. It has locking blades and comfortable, rubber-coated handles. One of the features that I particularly like on this set of nail trimmers is that it has a safety to help prevent injury to your pet's claws. You will still need to be mindful of avoiding the quick, of course, but the safety at least helps prevent a slip-up if your pet makes a sudden movement. The blades are extremely sharp and the reverse is spring-loaded so that once you release the locking mechanism (which is very sturdy), the blades easily come open and ready for use. The small-medium sized trimmer I purchased worked nicely for my cat, and I can see it working well for both small and medium sized dogs as well. Check with Australian Victorinox representative and they said that the have no stock and can't do any refund/repair/exchange. I was sick of having nail clippers wearing out after a couple of uses so I assumed that a Swiss army set would be durable. In this I am not disappointed, they will probably last longer than me. They way they are to be used, with the file resting open on your hand is less convenient than the cheaper short lasting versions; they would be better without the file. I have also found that in less than 2 weeks the bar you press on to cut has started sticking in the closed position after cutting. Another great experience trying out the Conair Propet Nail Grinder. This baby is really a value! For around $35 you can trim your pets nails at home comfortably and safely. It's very simple to use and since it's ergonomically designed to be extremely lightweight, comfortable to hold and has a grip so the tool won't slip from your hand there's no fumbling around with it while your pet anxiously waits. Super light, extremely durable and feels like it's constructed with high quality materials so it should last a good while. My experience with my scariest scaredy-dog was quick and stress free because number one it's whisper quiet! Definitely high marks for that! These nail clippers are super weird. The opening is so narrow that it was almost impossible to get my nail into it. My husband has pretty thick nails and he couldn’t fit his nail into either one. I feel the belt loop protrudes further out than it should…I guess. I'm not so sure a nail gun could possibly be ergonomic hanging on your hip anyway. I like that it has two extra heads on it for when the current wears out, but it seems like that'll be a good while. Build quality isn't quite up to what I've worked with before, but the price makes it easily forgiven. Came damaged from factory, quality control got crappier with bostitch products lately in general. I have 3 other brads from bostitch as well (older oil one with larger square nose) which still works best out of them 3, and two newer smart point and oil free, and I wish they still made the old ones, or at least the smart pint heads with older guns quality. Older one is still quieter, requires less air, and leaves smaller holes in primed pine (typ. Trim) (Btw don't bother with new Dewalts copy either) played with 2 of those from friends, looks almost the same mechanism as bostitch but DW uses even worse casing materials. Quality control these days seems like buying a cheap lottery ticket. There's a chance you might get something good If you do get the smart point, don't be surprised if it starts asking for more PSI in 8-12 months. Try oiling it (though it says oil free, still helps) both my newer ones did so, I ended up adjusting compressor to always sit at 100-105psi, and make sure the pressure recovery switch is tuned up to turn air recovery at around 100, rather then (90psi typical) for most pancakes these days. Bottom line, look for the older square head non oil free gun, and non smart point, and you'll be better off.neperezivai

I purchased the brad nailer because it requires no oil and the price was very reasonable. The nailer comes with a nice case, the gun, and a manual. You do not get any sample nails or safety glasses like other manufacturer's provide. Perhaps that is because it is a refurbished gun. In most cases you don't use those items any way. The gun has a convenient knob to select sequential nailing (one at a time) or bump/contact nailing. It also has a convenient depth adjustment know that is easy to access. The gun has a belt clip that can be attached to either side of the gun for those that are left or right handed people. In addition, the belt clip has a pencil sharpener which is quite handy. The magazine had some scratches that looked like a nail jam had occurred previously. The scratches were cosmetic and did not affect the operation of the gun. The gun did not have the air hose connection although you could see compound where one had previously been installed (Luckily I had an extra one). All things considered you are getting a very nice gun for a minimum investment. I would recommend this gun and I would buy it again myself.vbritt`
