I bought this item in a moment of desperation, needing to remove a gel manicure but unable to get an appointment in time for my regular salon to do it. I honestly wasn't expecting this to perform as well as it did because it was literally a $20 purchase from Walgreen's but still I went about my mission with fingers crossed hoping for things to at least turn out somewhat respectable. After using acetone to remove most of the manicure, I relied on this to rid my nails of any residual gel and to perfect them for a more natural look. I read the other reviews before making this purchase stating this lacked power and bogged down under pressure. Those reviews are correct but my guess is that this may be somewhat of a safety feature. If the unit had more power it might take off skin if the unit slipped off the nail surface. It does work if you don't use extreme pressure. Let the grinding attachments slowly do their work. It will probably be my go to file as long as the company exists. This is a second file for my home business.For the record it comes with a grey handpiece cradle, the purple is my personal one. 3 1/2 stars from me. Its ok but the Kupa UP200 is better, even though the Kupa is only 20,000rpms it doesnt overheat unlike the Medicool. The medicool over heats and the hand piece although light in weight is bulky in my hand because of the mechanism that allows you to change the carbide bits protrudes out a little bit. The Kupas handpeice is a bit heavier but it is more stream lined and made to be sturdier and doesnt overheat. The medicool is compact but still does not beat the Kupa. I am a professional nail technician, if my job requires me to do several acrylic nails fills or full sets in a row then I need something that wont heat up and get hot in my hand. I will be returning this as soon as I can and just shell out 150ish more for the Kupa. I own a medicool pro power pack that is rechargeable and though that the electric file for the table would be just as good, it is not. My portable power pack is better then this except it needs to be recharged which was why I bought the one for the table. I have included my coworkers Kupa and the medicool for comparasion. In our work stations there are holes in it so we can put our hand pieces in and mine does not fit in it but hers does, hence the reason why I say the medicools hand piece is bulky and not streamlined.TZE-LE

I bought this item in a moment of desperation, needing to remove a gel manicure but unable to get an appointment in time for my regular salon to do it. I honestly wasn't expecting this to perform as well as it did because it was literally a $20 purchase from Walgreen's but still I went about my mission with fingers crossed hoping for things to at least turn out somewhat respectable. After using acetone to remove most of the manicure, I relied on this to rid my nails of any residual gel and to perfect them for a more natural look. I was thrilled to find that the included assortment of attachment heads were very good quality and made what could have been a disaster a pretty painless experience. Not only did it remove every last trace of the residue from my artificial gel nails but I was able to use the buffer attachment to smooth and perfect them into a gorgeous manicure that looked professional. Speaking from long term experience, if you're doing a full set of nails with gel, acrylics, or other enhancements, be mindful that this is not a nail drill. I purchased this for my natural nails from Walmart. It was under 20.00$. I have an overlay on my natural nails that requires filing from time to time. I am giving this a 4/5 stars. I sometimes have small imperfections in areas where a hand filing tool will not work. These attachments come in handy for those hard to reach areas. The cuticle pusher is nicely made. The charger is good (no buying batteries). Honestly if you are curious about this product, keep in mind what your needs are. I deducted 1 star because some of the attachments could be a bit more coarse, and I'd like for this to be made with more than one speed. The grit seems the same on all the tools. Could not live without this, my partner bought one for me at Christmas its a cosmetic tool you cannot do without once youve used it , bought this in case the one Im using packs up ! I like to look after my nails but dont always feel in the mood to file them carefully and its very time consuming, but this little filing and buffing tool is quick and easy and very precise when filing nails. I purchased this product in its pink variant and I find it great. It quickly and easily files my hands nails without the need of using scissors any more. I have always struggled using the scissors with my left hand and now the problem is solved! I love the polishing touch that makes my nails extremely shiny. I originally purchased one of these at full price (six times this sale price) but the head are now worn down and need replacing plus I wanted an additional the device is great for buffing nails especially went they are hard to reach and have rough edges. You cannot go wrong at this price when you can see them in retail stored selling them at 3 to 6 times the price. Ordered this item through my nail tech and after second use the hand set was getting hot – I turned it off and tried it again when it cooled down. It ran really slow and did heat up again and then it did not even turn on. We sent it back and after 4 weeks we received a repaired unit. Yep it did the same thing but on the first time I used it. Returned AGAIN and after 3 weeks received it back and they said it was a new handset but not a new base. Yep it did it again. Now they say it is out of warranty. I am so disappointed I will never buy anything from this company EVER!!! Waste of money and poor poor customer service.
First of all, I purchased a purple color and I received a white unit so Im giving it a 4 star. But testing the unit id say its very good! Attached some photos for reference. The unit itself is so lightweight and compact. I can take it anywhere and can easily fit in my tote bag. Great tool for investment for beginners and professionals alike. Im a new, Covid DIY home manicurist.As with any skill theres a definite learning curve when doing our own nailsbut this e-file performs beautifully!!Watch a bunch of videos, keep your expectations reasonable, and with time youll be pleased with your results! Dont expect professional results on day 1, but patience and practice will get you there. Im 7 months in and still mastering filing with my non-dominant hand but videos help. This is a great buffing unit. It seems many other purchasers misunderstand the purpose of this item. It is for buffing, not for filing. Buffing is for making natural nails shine. Not for taking down the length of nails. The pads are a very fine grit, because they are for buffing. You won't be able to file nails with this unit (it is not designed for that purpose, it says nothing about filing on it's packaging, so I don't know why there is a misconception). Refills pads are available, and you will need them, as buffing pads do tend to wear after a few uses. To use it, you start with the heavier grit, and work your way to the finest grit (which seems super smooth). Results in really shiny nails without polish! The first time you use it, it's really awesome! You can use it with polish, too, to remove ridges, and make your nails really smooth and look salon like. Then the next time you use it, just be careful to only use it on new growth, so you don't make your nails too thin.
I was expecting better quality and results from this product as I've tried several other products from the Amope line and was satisfied. There are three different 'heads' to this tool, and I was expecting it to provide salon-quality and high-end results. The nail file was not particularly coarse enough to file nails well, and the buffing and shaping tools were pretty flimsy overall. The price for the quality/effectiveness of the product wasn't worth it in my opinion. Try at your own risk!parwinder.g
I got this product for free. If I hadn't gotten it in a care package, I wouldn't have used it. Upon reading reviews which were mostly negative , I was suddenly grateful I hadn't spent a cent on it but I still gave it a try. Each person experiences things differently. My experience with this item wasn't negative. It filed, buffed and shined my nails like it said in the packaging and my nails came out smooth. It does what it says it does although manually doing your nails might get better results. But overall, this product is pretty good in my opinion. And I must emphasize that the main function of the product isn't just to FILE your nails. If your searching for a product that mainly files your nails then this isn't the product for you.sherry.g
