20 Best Electric Nail Files (2024 Update)

So this is the Melody Susie Sheen Nail Drill. I ordered this in 2019. 5 STARS y'all!! It gets all five stars from me because it's just that good and still works as it did the day I bought it, 3 years ago. My bf loves for me to do his nails with this 😆 (he's a diva too). First thing I noticed when I unboxed it is it doesn't feel light, plastic-y and cheap. It has a "for professionals" feel to it. You may not know what I mean but you'll see once you order one. It works so good y'all! It comes with 6 drill bits and a case for storage, 6 sanding bands of diff grit levels, a baggie of sanding bands, user manual, the actual electric drill, and the power cord. The drill has two spins: clockwise and counter, plus it has a dial to go fast or slower. And the best part, it does an awesome job! I can't even fit everything I want to say in this review. This product is straightforward and easy to use. I love it! It is easy to change out the tips. It is also easy to use it with your left hand if you are someone like me that is not ambidextrous. I had soaked my acrylics off, getting as much off as I could, and I used this product to take them the rest of the way off. My nails are smooth and they look the best they ever have after taking off acrylics! I am so pleased! I will be using this in the future every time I do my own nails! I saw this product on Brandi Raines beauty blog, she was doing a tutorial on it and I thought I would give it a try. Well when I received it I guess I got a little intimidated by it and decided to try it on my toes first instead of using it on my nails. I Love it! I kinda get grossed out with a stranger touching my feet when I've done pedicures before and this product does it all. My toes have never looked better. I highly recommend this product! I purchased this about 2 years ago…..used it 3-4 times. I recently charged it and when i went to use it…. nothing. I plugged it in again and it was if I hadn't charged it at all. I waited for the green light – when it came on I tried it again…..NOTHING! I wrote twice to Belasonic and each time they responded that I would receive a reply in a day or two. It has been over 6 weeks now….never received an answer to my problem. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND NOT BUYING THIS PRODUCT…..THEY CHARGE A PRETTY PENNY AND THEN THAT'S IT…..THEY ARE DONE WITH YOU!Bosman

I purchased the drill when it was on sale in February. After 6 months of carefully using it, the drill suddenly stop working. Contact the customer care, they advised to contact the Harmony Drill. I did send email and called like they advised but no resolve from any of the party. not worth $270van n.

I've had the drill for 2 weeks and it works great! The hand piece does heat up a little after prolonged use. Occasionally I will turn it off to let it breath for a bit. But the speed and power of it is great! I also love that you can turn it from Right to Left handed. The machine itself is of good quality, absolutely NOT cheap plastic like some other models out there. Definitely recommend.dayofthedeadgirl

This wonderful manicure/pedicure set was well thought-out to include just about everything you might need. It comes with a cloth zippered case and has form fitting places in the form of a plastic insert which holds the device and all of the accessories neatly. The plastic insert can be removed if you prefer. The case retains its shape if you remove the insert. The inside lid of the case has a mesh pocket where you can keep the power cord and the manual. The case does not have a handle. In the case: Power cord with a micro USB end to charge up the device, Dust shield, 10 attachments, and a User Guide. No plug for the cord. The attachments are: Sapphire cone – to remove dry skin and calluses from feet and manicures the toenails. Coarse Sapphire wheel – Files nails quickly Fine Sapphire wheel – Files nails. Finer than the coarse wheel to file more gently and slowly Felt cone – For buffing and polishing Cylindrical Grinder – Grinds and smooths toenails Pointed Grinder – Removes ingrown toenails. Small for precise use. Round Sapphire Grinder – Removes corns. Use carefully. Needle-shaped Cutter – Precision tool. Used on ingrown nails or parts of dead nails. It will flash red and green if it isn’t. It will flash with 3 blue lights if everything is OK. When the 3 blue lights are solid, it is charged. The power button on the device has 3 positions. Up, Middle, and Down. Down turns the attachment counter-clockwise and you will see a red light. Up turns the attachment clockwise and you will see a green light. The middle position is off. I thought I would not need to change the device from clockwise to counterclockwise and back again, but I found myself changing it while I was working to make it easier, so I see why this feature was included. The plus and minus buttons on the device control the speed. There are 3 speed settings. The instructions say to always start at the lowest speed and only increase the speed if needed. I never used it any faster. I thought the slowest setting was more than adequate. There is an automatic switch-off after 20 minutes. I like that the device is cordless, because I was holding it at all sorts of different angles to do my pedicure. Nail dust was flying everywhere so I attached the Dust Shield to keep it from flying up in my face. It worked great for that. It doesn’t catch the dust. It just protects it from getting it in your eyes or accidentally breathing it in. There is an LED light. If you use one of the larger attachments, it will block the light from shining where you are working. Also it was too difficult to try to always keep the light on the area I was working. I did use it though. I would stop for a second and shine the light on the spot to better see how it was looking. My First Pedicure with the Beurer: I started out using the coarse sapphire wheel on my toenails. That quickly got them filed down. I switched to the Fine Sapphire wheel to smooth the edge and “fine tune" my nail filing. Next, I used the Sapphire cone to remove my cuticles from my toenails and to decrease some of the slight thickness of the nails on my great toes. Then I switched to the Pointed Grinder to get the cuticles at the corners and to fine tune any cuticles that I had missed, as well as getting the corners of my great toe nails. I followed that up with the Felt cone to buff my toenails. I used both the Fine Sapphire Callus file and the Sapphire Cone on calluses and dry skin on my feet. I really loved the sapphire cone and how it made my rough skin feel baby smooth. I used the Sapphire Cone mostly for that. You do not have to use a lot of pressure for the attachments to work. In fact, very little pressure will be much safer while providing excellent results. Also use the attachments in circular movements, except when shortening the nails. At first, I was trying to keep my feet positioned over a small waste basket, but dust was flying everywhere, so I ended up sitting on a bath mat and letting the dust fall onto the mat, which is easily washable, or can be vacuumed. Before retirement, I was an RN and often took care of diabetics, including their foot nail care. I would have loved to have had this tool. I feel with proper use (not too much pressure and using circular motions) it would be very suitable for them with minimal risk. When I was working, only an RN was allowed to do the nail care on a diabetic’s feet. The reason for this was because of the risk of injury using the sharp cutting tools that were the only things available at the time. First of all, I purchased a purple color and I received a white unit so Im giving it a 4 star. But testing the unit id say its very good! Attached some photos for reference. Dont expect professional results on day 1, but patience and practice will get you there. Im 7 months in and still mastering filing with my non-dominant hand but videos help. This item was a replacement item for one that I broke.I dropped that handle and bent the tip which is a N0-No as it would not hold the burrs straight and they wobbled.The handle was deemed completely useless. It is almost as expensive to replace the tip if you can find one as it is to purchase a new unit.Since the unit belonged to someone else who was working in the shop. and it was part of her 34lively hood34 that I had destroyed, I bought her a new unit.She uses it every day in her work.She is very pleased with my purchase from Amazon..Barbara

This is the perfect do it yourself home professional manicure and pedicure kit. Although you can use it on yourself, I found that it is much relaxing if someone does it for you. I originally got this to try on my wife and she loves getting the pampered treatment at home while watching TV or just soaking in the tub. It's pretty light weight compared to others products. I bought this item in a moment of desperation, needing to remove a gel manicure but unable to get an appointment in time for my regular salon to do it. I honestly wasn't expecting this to perform as well as it did because it was literally a $20 purchase from Walgreen's but still I went about my mission with fingers crossed hoping for things to at least turn out somewhat respectable. After using acetone to remove most of the manicure, I relied on this to rid my nails of any residual gel and to perfect them for a more natural look. I was thrilled to find that the included assortment of attachment heads were very good quality and made what could have been a disaster a pretty painless experience. Not only did it remove every last trace of the residue from my artificial gel nails but I was able to use the buffer attachment to smooth and perfect them into a gorgeous manicure that looked professional. I'll be seeing less of my manicurist now and that's more money I can spend on my makeup habit so I'm a very happy girl.angel.p

Speaking from long term experience, if you're doing a full set of nails with gel, acrylics, or other enhancements, be mindful that this is not a nail drill. I purchased this for my natural nails from Walmart. It was under 20.00$. I have an overlay on my natural nails that requires filing from time to time. I am giving this a 4/5 stars. I sometimes have small imperfections in areas where a hand filing tool will not work. These attachments come in handy for those hard to reach areas. The cuticle pusher is nicely made. The charger is good (no buying batteries). Honestly if you are curious about this product, keep in mind what your needs are. I deducted 1 star because some of the attachments could be a bit more coarse, and I'd like for this to be made with more than one speed. The grit seems the same on all the tools. Different grit for different speeds especially the disk tools. I like the packaging. The case is sturdy and attractive. Easy to clean and store.mia.r

I read the other reviews before making this purchase stating this lacked power and bogged down under pressure. Those reviews are correct but my guess is that this may be somewhat of a safety feature. If the unit had more power it might take off skin if the unit slipped off the nail surface. It does work if you don't use extreme pressure. Let the grinding attachments slowly do their work. They will work but takes somewhat longer that you might expect. You get a little more power if you use the power adapter and not the cordless feature. Overall its not too bad.jerry746
