I may be late to the OPI Mexico City Collection's Spring 2020 release, but at least I finally found that rad yellow creme! With my pale, pink-toned skin, finding a yellow that is saturated without leaning too dark, pastel, or neon — AND has a 3-coat (or less) formula — is a real challenge. I got my hands on this color after stumbling into an Amazon sale (the "Buy at least $20 worth of these selected items, get $5 off" kind? It was the first time I tried it out!) where a few of the OPI Mexico City colors were included. I had heard about this color for a while, and watched nail polish swatchers on YouTube include it in their side-by-side yellow polish comparisons every season, but I could never find it in-stock at a reasonable shipping rate until that sale. Score! As you can see from my photo, it's a slightly lighter yellow, but it works like a standard yellow on my fair skin when compared to darker shades. It pops in just the right way! Plus, its formula is 3 coats maximum for full opacity, which is hard to achieve with yellow polish at any price point. (Don't you hate it when a color of polish is sold as the brand's "standard primary color," only to find out it takes 4 or 5 streaky coats to achieve that color? So many polish brands do that with yellow and white, even at the salon level. No, thank you!) I've been in in a real yellow mood this summer, so I'm so happy to find a great color that works for me in 3 coats and doesn't chip easily after a few days!elizabeth.o

I got one of these in a lottle nail kit by Revlon like 8 years ago and while the rest of the kit has been used and lost ove the years this file has somehow stayed with me even moving across the entire country! I use this file regularly and have for years. Others have worn out broke or got lost but this one just keeps on performing. I'm super impressed! Its so super durable, I've even used this on acrylics and there were no negative effects (I don't recommend using these types of files with acrylic nails). It is just starting to dull down the smallest amount but as I mentioned I've had it over 8 years. That's a whole lot of filing! Great well made product! This file is a great combo of good quality, low price, and ideal size. Because of the low price, I can have several, one each in my bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, living room, desk drawer… oh yes, and in my purse. I never know where I might be when I snag a nail, and to me it feels oh-so-luxurious to not have to get up and find the only nail file in the house. The size is easily portable, but not so small that you feel like you're using a little girl's file. One side of the file is for shaping, the other for finishing. My only complaint about this file is that which side is which is not marked, and it's a small difference that requires some testing to discover. Luckily, one side of the handle has the word China stamped in small letters. For my files, anyway, that seems to be the shaping side. Glass nail files not only feel so much better on the nail, they dont leave you with terrible rough edges and can easily be washed to reuse. I would say the only thing to be careful about is avoid dropping the file or squeezing it tight in a towel if you rinsed it, as the glass can break.

I've gotten pretty handy at it! As my skills have grown, so has my need for better tools for the job, so I jumped at the chance to test a free Tweezerman glass nail file and share my thoughts. Firstly, what I love: I am delighted that this product comes in a perfectly fitted protective case. That's so handy! I also love that the etched glass surface holds up to my best crystal file and does not wear away over time. It works well and files smoothly, without the annoying drag of an emory board. What I wish could be improved is that I can't quite tell if both sides have the same grit or different, and I'd love to see a strong difference in grit clearly labelled on either side for precise filing. I'd also like to see this product in fun colours!

As a first time glass nail file user I was eager to give this a try. I couldn't imagine a glass nail file being able to do what an emery board can, but it does! This Tweezerman Glass Nail File leaves your nails feeling super soft with no jagged edges, it is well made, durable & easy to use too! Cleaning the nail file is simple, I recommend using a little isopropyl alcohol and a towel or some cotton balls. It really is that easy! One of my favorite parts about this file is that it is better for the environment by decreasing waste accumulated by disposable emery boards! Just a couple things I feel this nail file could be improved on would be the sharpness & time required to achieve the desired length/shape. Sometimes if I have a nail that's really grown off course I do struggle with the file. It takes a very long time to reach my goal. At this time it requires much more pressure. I genuinely feel if the file was slightly sharper it would alleviate this issue.

I'd have to say that I'm pretty obsessive when it comes to my nails. I hate having rough edges or hang nails. I love having smooth, elegant and squared looking nails so when Home Testers Club sent me the Tweezerman Glass Nail File in exchange for my honest thoughts, I was really happy because this tool is something I'd always wanted to try. I absolutely LOVE the the fact that this glass file is made of recycled glass material and its meant specifically for natural nails. The file glides effortlessly along my nails and doesn't feel like it's shredding my nail apart. I also liked the plastic carrying case that came with the file because it fits perfectly in my purse and I know it won't break. The file can be cleaned and sanitized after every use which is really important to having healthy nails. I've been using my glass file almost daily and I know that I'll never go back to the cardboard style file ever again. Glass nail files not only feel so much better on the nail, they dont leave you with terrible rough edges and can easily be washed to reuse. I would say the only thing to be careful about is avoid dropping the file or squeezing it tight in a towel if you rinsed it, as the glass can break.

I bought this item in a moment of desperation, needing to remove a gel manicure but unable to get an appointment in time for my regular salon to do it. I honestly wasn't expecting this to perform as well as it did because it was literally a $20 purchase from Walgreen's but still I went about my mission with fingers crossed hoping for things to at least turn out somewhat respectable. After using acetone to remove most of the manicure, I relied on this to rid my nails of any residual gel and to perfect them for a more natural look. I was thrilled to find that the included assortment of attachment heads were very good quality and made what could have been a disaster a pretty painless experience. Not only did it remove every last trace of the residue from my artificial gel nails but I was able to use the buffer attachment to smooth and perfect them into a gorgeous manicure that looked professional. I sometimes have small imperfections in areas where a hand filing tool will not work. These attachments come in handy for those hard to reach areas. The cuticle pusher is nicely made. The charger is good (no buying batteries). Honestly if you are curious about this product, keep in mind what your needs are. I deducted 1 star because some of the attachments could be a bit more coarse, and I'd like for this to be made with more than one speed. The grit seems the same on all the tools. I read the other reviews before making this purchase stating this lacked power and bogged down under pressure. Those reviews are correct but my guess is that this may be somewhat of a safety feature. If the unit had more power it might take off skin if the unit slipped off the nail surface. It does work if you don't use extreme pressure. Let the grinding attachments slowly do their work. They will work but takes somewhat longer that you might expect. You get a little more power if you use the power adapter and not the cordless feature. Overall its not too bad.jerry746
