This works as well as any, and better than most. I definitely get volume from it, though I'm always looking for more, and it doesn't leave my hair full of static as many mousses do. My hair is very thick and very straight, so it has to work pretty hard to provide some lif, but does so without being stiff or stickyt. It also lasts a long time in the can, which I think is a big plus, as other pretty good mousses often turn to useless liquid, no longer foam, before the can is empty. I hate that. This mousse is bomb, y'all.. I have a ton of fine 3c-4b hair cut in a tapered fro, and this mousse gives me amazing wash and gos. My curls are super defined and popping, and they remain frizz free for days. It's also moisturizing; my hair doesn't feel dry or crunchy at all. Just soft, shiny, glossy, springy curls. The only real downside to this mousse: it is a little sticky, probably from the honey. It is totally worth it, IMO. It also has a pretty strong scent, somewhere between honey and syrup. It will linger throughout the day. I kind of like it, but if you're sensitive to strong scents it may bother you.Mel B
I just got this foam and I am in love. A little goes a long way, and the instant I scrunch it into my hair, my 2A-C waves/curls become spirals and bounce up. It's very lightweight and leaves my hair insanely soft! No crunch at all and good hold throughout the day. I diffuse dry my hair and have no frizz or flyaways. It really does set your style! I'm currently on day 2 hair and am having the best wavy day of my life. I layered this with the Camille Rose curl maker defining jelly and a small amount of leave-in conditioner. The only con is that the smell is sickly sweet, as others have mentioned. For me, it's not off-putting because it fades very quickly and dries with just a hint of sweetness. I have very sensitive skin and generally stay away from strong fragrances and it has not bothered me at all.Wendy
This mousse provides an excellent wash and go for me! I just rake it into large sections of dripping wet hair with my fingers, diffuse with my blow dryer for 15 minutes and let it dry naturally the rest of the way. I get excellent curl definition! I have fine hair, and this doesn't weigh it down; my curls are springy and bouncy. Caveat, though, is that it does make my hair a wee bit sticky. My guess is it's the honey in it, so just be careful what you layer underneath (I use a leave-in conditioner for extra moisture).roseofjuly

I love this product for many reasons. It gives me such lovely definition, volume and texture without leaving a sticky residue and the ingredients are fantastic. I also feel like it plays nicely with every other product I have tried with it. It took me awhile to figure out what application method worked best for my hair and now that I have it down, my hair comes out beautifully, not just on wash day or the day following, but for the entire week, my curls look gorgeous with very little maintenance. I prefer to style my hair with a leave in, a gel/custard/souffle and then I diffuse until it partially dry. Once my hair is 50-60% dry, I add four to eight pumps of this magical foam, focusing on the roots then working my way down the entire length, scrunching along the way, and then I resume diffusing. Excellent results, every time. To refresh, I usually slightly dampen my hair and apply a watered down version of a leave in or curl cream (gel when necessary), hit it with the diffuser and depending on what my hair needs, one or two more pumps of foam, often times, none. I was skeptical about spending almost $30 on one product, especially with my negative experiences with a different higher end brand a few years ago. But I must say, this product is totally worth it for me in regards to quality and how much I use. I get maximum results with little amount of product. I would recommend this product and will most definitely be purchasing it again and again. My curl type for those interested is predominantly 3b with some 3c and 3a mixed in. Normal porosity. I have medium length, 2a hair that's prone to frizziness. My roots can get greasy and the ends of my hair can get dry/develop split ends. I don't spend a lot of time on my hair and I don't like to use a lot of products – I'm looking for something I can put in wet hair to bring out my waves and help my hair air dry nicely. Overall, this product works pretty well for me. It does bring out my waves (albeit not as much as the toxic curl creams I've used in the past) without too much stickiness. It feels lightweight and does add a bit of volume. And, I really like the smell! It's faintly herbally/floral/citrus, without being overpowering. Overall, I'd recommend with the caveat that your expectations shouldn't be the same as traditional curl products from mainstream, prestige (non clean) haircare brands.
I’ve been using clean products for 2.5 years now but finding good hair products that actually work has been a struggle. I have straight/wavy hair so I got this to use as a root volume boost. I have long hair so it usually leaves my roots flat from the weight. I used 2 pumps on my scalp while wet then used a blow dry straightener and I was amazed at the lightness and volume! I heard other reviews and videos rave about this mousse and had to try it. I have to say, they are right. I have fine texture, low porosity natural hair. My hair is short, but when stretched the back comes to my collar bone and the front comes to the end of my nose (to give you a reference). I get good definition using a gel, but this product really defined my hair, and I had more body. Body is a problem for those of us with fine hair. My curls lasted 4 days, especially in the top which is longer. My hair is shorter on the sides and since I sleep on my side the definition fades sooner. I still had a little definition on my sides day 4, but the top still had curls. The first time I used it I only used a moisturizing deep conditioner and the mousse. It did great defining my curls, but left my hair very dry. The next time I used a moisturizing deep conditioner, leave-in conditioner, a moisturizing gel, and a sealing oil with the mousse. Sounds like a lot, but this is the process I have to use every wash day to keep my hair moisturized for 3 days. I did not have any problems with dry hair at all this time. I have thick heavy waves/curls. The product worked well when I used it with a leave in conditioner. The day I was in a rush and didn't put a leave in my hair was course and felt dehydrated. It doesn't help to clump your curls on it's own, but was easy to style and mold my curls with my brush. Dried quickly and smelled good. I didn't get a chance to use it for a long period of time to see the overall quality. The bottle untwisted just enough while under my sink and spilled. Luckily I had it in a container. The bottle easily untwist. You should keep the product right side up and make sure it doesn't knock over. Unfortunately it's the bottle quality that keeps me from buying this again.
