This product does exactly what I need it to, and is very easy to use! I feel as though the more you use it, the more you see results too. Even on the first day of use my hair looked thicker, healthy, and more alive. The product is not very greasy, and washes off of the hands easily. I have used this mousse for several years now. I have naturally curly hair and this mousse keeps my hair soft while holding my curl. It comes out as a foam, that turns into more of a gel. It definitely doesn't make my hair feel stiff like some other mousses I have used in the past. Like most products for me, sometimes I have to change my product out. My particular hair type kind of gets tired of the same products. This is definitely something that works for my hair and I will continue to use however. Unlike the other reviewers, I am extremely impressed with this product. Although it dispenses like a mousse, on the hair is has a consistency of a balm, so very little product is required. At application, it is slightly sticky on the hair. While air-drying, my waves behaved with no frizziness or flyaways, but my hair felt a little stiff. To my great surprise, a little scrunching removed any stiffness, leaving only perfectly tame and soft waves. My hair was soft and super shiny. I use a dime-size dollap on the ends of next-day hair and I am good to leave the house. To put things in perspective, this is the only product that my hair needs when air-drying – one product instead of four to five! My only nit? This mousse behaves far more like a gel. I cannot stress this enough. I was recommended this product by a friend who was recommended by a hairdresser. So far, I've tried it with partially towel dried hair, "plopped" hair, and very wet hair. This product works best on wet hair, period. Any sort of drying, even just plopping, can alter the results. I can imagine this would still work for some people, but ideally, you will want to scrunch this into wet hair. My best results so far paired with a leave in conditioner, a styling cream, and a gel (a very hydrating gel). I am excited to try with other combinations and without the other gel, too. There's so many possibilities, and aside from the learning curve, it's a great product that smells fantastic and has GREAT hold. The key to success is proper hydration and pairing, which is what you could say about any product, really. I use this mousse to give my limp hair fine hair some thickness and volume. It definitely makes a positive difference. I use about an egg size dollop for my shoulder length hair and it also gives me a nice amount of hold that stands up to the Florida humidity. I then let my hair air dry overnight and then in the morning I use a curling iron to create loose waves. My waves are defined and I also get plenty of nice volume and bounce. I don't even need hairspray. My waves stay in place for several days and the volume is still there even after sleeping. This mousse has a very light pleasant scent that dissipates quickly. It isn't stiff or crunchy at all. It's nothing like the mousse of the 80s and my hair is very pliant and has tons of body. The hold is great and my hair stays in place no matter what the weather dishes out. I'm very satisfied with this mousse and it's become one of my all time favorite styling products. Who knew? I also have the Thickr spray which I don't like nearly as much. This mousse is great for fine hair and never weighs my tresses down. I definitely recommend it highly.dorothy

This mousse is bomb, y'all.. I have a ton of fine 3c-4b hair cut in a tapered fro, and this mousse gives me amazing wash and gos. My curls are super defined and popping, and they remain frizz free for days. It's also moisturizing; my hair doesn't feel dry or crunchy at all. Just soft, shiny, glossy, springy curls. The only real downside to this mousse: it is a little sticky, probably from the honey. It is totally worth it, IMO. It also has a pretty strong scent, somewhere between honey and syrup. I just got this foam and I am in love. A little goes a long way, and the instant I scrunch it into my hair, my 2A-C waves/curls become spirals and bounce up. It's very lightweight and leaves my hair insanely soft! No crunch at all and good hold throughout the day. I diffuse dry my hair and have no frizz or flyaways. It really does set your style! I'm currently on day 2 hair and am having the best wavy day of my life. I layered this with the Camille Rose curl maker defining jelly and a small amount of leave-in conditioner. The only con is that the smell is sickly sweet, as others have mentioned. For me, it's not off-putting because it fades very quickly and dries with just a hint of sweetness. This mousse provides an excellent wash and go for me! I just rake it into large sections of dripping wet hair with my fingers, diffuse with my blow dryer for 15 minutes and let it dry naturally the rest of the way. I get excellent curl definition! I have fine hair, and this doesn't weigh it down; my curls are springy and bouncy. Caveat, though, is that it does make my hair a wee bit sticky. I really don't know if this works! The perfume, stinky odor just made me sick!! My husband came in and wanted to know what stinks. I almost got back in the shower to wash it out. While some might believe this effects the integrity of the product, I can say first-hand that it does not. I have very fine hair which sometimes causes me absolute horror. This product is absolutely wonderful. You need such a small amount and it creates so much volume. I have long, fine hair with below-average thickness (not thin, but definitely not thick). I have been getting American Waves (a chemical process similar to a perm) for six months, which gives me a 2A/2B very loose waves. (My natural texture is "bendy", a mix of type 1 and 2A.) This is one of many products I have tried for air-dry styling*. I have used medium-hold gels, salt sprays, mousses, and air-dry creams. This is my favorite product so far for Day 1 results, but doesn't perform as well on Day 2+. What I like: – Like other Moroccanoil products, the smell is amazing and not too strong. – Very rich thick foam (definitely feels like a luxe product) – Gives nice definition and volume on Day 1 – Lightly moisturizing and doesn't weigh my hair down – Not sticky at all What I don't like: – It's pricey – On Day 2+, my hair looked "mussed". I still had good definition, but my whole head had more of a frizzy/fuzzy "halo" that I get with my favorite products (or no products). That said, I am still inexperienced with wavy styling, so that might be due to my (lack of) refresh technique. I am going to experiment with that, and see if I get better results. * I have found that my wash technique has a bigger impact on my results than the styling product I use. I wash with Kenra volumizing shampoo and scrunch in their conditioner, wet plopping in a shower cap before rinsing. Then I dry-plop in a microfiber towel after scrunching in a styling product (or not). After air drying, I zhuzh the roots for volume. Different products can improve the definition and volume, but this routine seems to be what makes or breaks the shape, spring, and clumpiness of the waves.Jessica

I have type 3a hair and this is one of the few hair products I've repurchased repeatedly. I transitioned to my naturally curly hair over a year ago, and after trying lots of gels and heavier hair products, I decided to switch to a mousse. How I use it: After washing and conditioning my hair, and applying a lightweight leave-in conditioner or cream, I use this mousse. This is because it has sweet almond oil and vitamin B to keep those curls moisturized. Also, it has wheat protein to help strengthen our hair. The mousse comes in a pump container in liquid form. However, when you push on the pump the formula comes out as a light weight foam. I always wet my hair before applying the mousse. My HUSBAND is my only problem when it comes to this mousse. I let him use it one time and now I can't keep him from using it. He applies the mousse to his straight wet hair then spikes it.
