When I am going to use a mousse, I always have some expectation of a certain “feeling” in terms of the texture of my hair. In areas I put too much, it is stiffer but if I did it lightly and directly on my roots, it does not feel that way. I have fine hair for reference. This works as well as any, and better than most. I definitely get volume from it, though I'm always looking for more, and it doesn't leave my hair full of static as many mousses do. My hair is very thick and very straight, so it has to work pretty hard to provide some lif, but does so without being stiff or stickyt. It also lasts a long time in the can, which I think is a big plus, as other pretty good mousses often turn to useless liquid, no longer foam, before the can is empty. I hate that. This didn't do anything for my hair–maybe my hair is just too fine/thin? I have long, very fine/thin hair. When I first started using this I started out with maybe 7 pumps and ending up going up to 14 pumps with basically no results. I put it in freshly shampooed, damp hair. I experimented with blow-drying and allowing my hair to air dry afterward. With both forms of drying, my hair looked fluffier (than using nothing at all) for about the first 2 hours then fell completely flat and limp like I didn't put any products in it. The only pros were that it did not have an overpowering smell, was lightweight and did not make my hair greasy nor did it dry it out like some mousses can but it just didn't live up to it's claims of volume and fullness. Given the amount of positive reviews on it, it's probably just the fact that my hair is just too fine! I would only recommend this to someone if their hair is of normal thickness or thicker. I have long, fine hair with below-average thickness (not thin, but definitely not thick). I have been getting American Waves (a chemical process similar to a perm) for six months, which gives me a 2A/2B very loose waves. (My natural texture is "bendy", a mix of type 1 and 2A.) This is one of many products I have tried for air-dry styling*. I have used medium-hold gels, salt sprays, mousses, and air-dry creams. This is my favorite product so far for Day 1 results, but doesn't perform as well on Day 2+. What I like: – Like other Moroccanoil products, the smell is amazing and not too strong. – Very rich thick foam (definitely feels like a luxe product) – Gives nice definition and volume on Day 1 – Lightly moisturizing and doesn't weigh my hair down – Not sticky at all What I don't like: – It's pricey – On Day 2+, my hair looked "mussed". I still had good definition, but my whole head had more of a frizzy/fuzzy "halo" that I get with my favorite products (or no products). That said, I am still inexperienced with wavy styling, so that might be due to my (lack of) refresh technique. I am going to experiment with that, and see if I get better results. * I have found that my wash technique has a bigger impact on my results than the styling product I use. I wash with Kenra volumizing shampoo and scrunch in their conditioner, wet plopping in a shower cap before rinsing. Then I dry-plop in a microfiber towel after scrunching in a styling product (or not). After air drying, I zhuzh the roots for volume. Different products can improve the definition and volume, but this routine seems to be what makes or breaks the shape, spring, and clumpiness of the waves.Jessica

I wanted to try this so bad because alcohol was drying my hair and my skin out! I've tried this on both ebin spray glue and ghostbond and it works wonderfully! With ebin, I only have to spray it once and then it lifts right after the first minute. With ghostbond, I have to let it set for a minute, then blot, then spray again. I do this 3 times. It'll lift then I'll wash my skin with soap. What's amazing about this product is that the glue doesn't get stuck on the lace! I think it's absolutely worth it.denna27

It has a slight fragrance that is pleasant and refreshing. It offers a slight tingling after application. I have since used this refresher spray on my braids and on my scalp with my protective styles. This product does exactly what I need it to, and is very easy to use! I feel as though the more you use it, the more you see results too. Even on the first day of use my hair looked thicker, healthy, and more alive. The product is not very greasy, and washes off of the hands easily. My hair has been much more manageable and easier to style as well. This is the first hair volumizer I have ever used, and I have a feeling I will have to look no further. This didn't do anything for my hair–maybe my hair is just too fine/thin? I have long, very fine/thin hair. When I first started using this I started out with maybe 7 pumps and ending up going up to 14 pumps with basically no results. I put it in freshly shampooed, damp hair. I experimented with blow-drying and allowing my hair to air dry afterward. With both forms of drying, my hair looked fluffier (than using nothing at all) for about the first 2 hours then fell completely flat and limp like I didn't put any products in it. The only pros were that it did not have an overpowering smell, was lightweight and did not make my hair greasy nor did it dry it out like some mousses can but it just didn't live up to it's claims of volume and fullness. Given the amount of positive reviews on it, it's probably just the fact that my hair is just too fine! I would only recommend this to someone if their hair is of normal thickness or thicker.
