Let me start by saying I am not a licensed cosmetologist, I’m just someone who wants to be able to give myself salon-level manicures. I ordered the IBD builder gel in Pink 2, and was super excited to try it out. At first I was thrown off by now bubblegum pink the product appeared, but it actually comes off a lot lighter and more natural looking when you apply it to the nail. The product is kind of stringy, but this isn’t a real issue, just something I wasn’t really prepared for. It works well with slip solution, and doesn’t bubble as easily as polygel so you can really go in and smooth it out. It’s not super self-leveling, probably because it tends to run a little during sculpting. I definitely recommend applying this product in multiple thin coats, though 2 really does the trick. A drawback is it’s very easy to see the separate coats after application, though this might just be user error. It’s only been a couple hours since I’ve applied these extensions, but they’re very light, not noticeable, and seem to be very strong. The gel is soft enough to file and shape by hand. I didn’t have as many problems with product getting into my cuticle area as I did with poly gel and builder in a bottle. For personal use, I think this product will last quite some time and I am very happy with how natural the finish product feels, especially since I tend to pick at my nails. For a beginner with zero experience doing my own nails this product was great. I’ve had my nails done countless times so I knew how to do it. The biggest thing is to wipe down with rubbing alcohol after curing because it is still extremely sticky otherwise. But it’s easy to build and easy to mold. The only reason this gel polish doesn't get a 5 star is because it is an absolute pain to get off. I can soak it and soak it for what seems like hours and I still have to file it off or scrape with an orange stick. The colours are beautiful, it is easy to apply for a beginner and it doesnt pool at the edges of your nail. Another great bonus is that the top coat does not require alcohol wiping, so for those with tight c curved nails, like me, you get much better coverage and top coat seal!kayla.m

I bought this as a nail strengther and I’m not disappointed. I’m not a professional nail tech, but I am a bit of a perfectionist. The booklet that comes with the product is very informative and super easy to follow. The brush is a perfect size and cleans easily after use, with a little bit of acetone nail varnish remover. I found thin layers and curing in between each worked best. Also holding my hand upside down (nails facing downwards) for 10 secs before curing, helped get it away from the sides of the nails and skin, as well as making it even out. Ive never tried Polygel before and from watch Nail Career Educations YouTube videos about it I knew I needed to try it. For a beginner with zero experience doing my own nails this product was great. I’ve had my nails done countless times so I knew how to do it. The biggest thing is to wipe down with rubbing alcohol after curing because it is still extremely sticky otherwise. But it’s easy to build and easy to mold. I recommendUpdate* I haven’t been doing this very long, but I find after a week or so it starts to life around my cuticles. I’m not sure if it’s because I don’t prep my natural nail enough or I just still am in the learning stage. But I still love it! Very easy to use!dani.s

It is easy to work with, cures beautiful, long lasting and it is actually nice and clear. The only reason this gel polish doesn't get a 5 star is because it is an absolute pain to get off. I can soak it and soak it for what seems like hours and I still have to file it off or scrape with an orange stick. The colours are beautiful, it is easy to apply for a beginner and it doesnt pool at the edges of your nail. Another great bonus is that the top coat does not require alcohol wiping, so for those with tight c curved nails, like me, you get much better coverage and top coat seal!kayla.m
I recently started doing my own gel nails at home and I love this top coat. It is no wipe so you do not have a sticky residue left over. I will always recommend to friends! At home gel nails are the way to go. I have weaker nails and this helps strengthen them without the salon price.mckenna.d
Who knows when their overhead mechanism was made. I had the manual and that was no help. So the hardest part was finding the correct setup code [which I then wrote down]. But it does just exactly what it is supposed to do. But do keep your manual. Sometimes a power outage will require a reset. I really like the pale pink shade. The shade, called Sweet Surrender, is soft and feminine. I love the brand: the nail polishes are always glossy and easy to apply. The reason I took away 1 star was because after 2 coats, the color was still weak and I needed to apply 3 coats to have the color really show. I don't usually like 3 coats of nail polish since it takes forever and lots of time to dry. Still, with lots of time and 3 coats, it is a pretty polish.beckah.m
I have been cruelty free with my makeup for 2+ years now, but I have not found a good nail polish line yet. I had high hopes for this brand because of the positive reviews on Ulta. I wish I tried a different top coat from Morgan Taylor. I find that this top coat, with any nail polish that I use, completely streaks. I have tried it with different color nail polishes. I have tried using a matte nail polish before going in with this top coat, but nothing has worked.Also, the wand is pretty big, especially for my small nails. I wish I knew that before purchasing this because I probably wouldn't have bought it. Lastly, I don't find that this causes less chipping than any other nail polish top coat that I have ever used.The only pro I have for this top coat is that it looks shiny and glossy.
