I have used Seche Vite top coat for years. I recently got a three pack from Amazon and they are awful. I’ve ordered from their store on Amazon several times before and haven’t had this big of an issue. I’ve kind of always had the shrinkage problem with Seche Vite, but now it looks worse (the lines on the side of my nails where you can see where the top coat is on top of the color). Now though it lifts up the nail polish and chips off in sheets. I make sure to not get the top coat on my skin so there isn’t a lot to lift up, but still it lifts up on the sides of my nails and around my cuticles the next day. I’m also getting more chips, again the next day. I don’t know if this is just a batch problem, but I feel like I may stay clear of Seche Vite for a while. I ordered Glisten Glow’s top coat after I read amazing reviews so hopefully that will work out better!kari.w
I've been using this product for the past two years and it's been my go to top coat . My nail polish will last for about 5-7 days , while using this top coat. I've used other top coats in the past but this one is the best one. Also, it provided a nice finish to your nails after polishing. Get this top coat and you won't regret it. I just wished the formula would stay the same even when you're running low on the product. I hope the company looks into this because it's my only complaint. The top coat should be usable until the bottle is empty .
This top coat really is fast drying, but not only that, it dries to a hard lacquered finish. The best thing about it is that it's meant to be used over still wet nail polish; it's far more convenient to go straight into your top coat than having to wait minutes for each coat to dry down. The only issue this polish has is that it shrinks. You have to be careful to completely cover all areas where polish is with this top coat, because otherwise there will be a line of demarcation where the top coat has shrunk a bit. Not a huge deal, but can be very apparent and annoying if you're doing a plain black crème polish (not fun to have to re-do a nail). love this top coat! It definitely dries quickly, my nails are dry and hard within minutes – perfect if you are someone who paints their nails at night but wants to avoid getting sheet marks on the polish. I like the consistency, it is slightly on the thinner side, but is easy to manipulate and isn’t too runny. It dries to a shiny finish. I don’t have any issues with shrinkage using this top coat, my manicures always look in tip-top shape. This top coat is definitely chip resistant, I can usually get 5 days out of a mani when I use this, and I am someone who is quite hard on their hands. I also find that I don’t get tip wear when using this top coat. It is compatible with all of my nail polishes (mostly OPI and Essie with some SinfulColors and Essence). I love doing my nails at home and am always down to dry new products. By far, this has been my LEAST favorite item to have tried. When using this product, it caused a few air bubbles underneath my nail polish and not only does it take forever to dry, but when it actually does, it is almost impossible not to mess up your nails after that. Depending on the light, nail color can look lizard green, bronze, or garnet; glitter sparkle is discreet. I had been going back and forth between gel top coats from Gelish (which you have to wipe off with alcohol after the final coat), dip powder top coats (not gel-like finish) and the polygel top coat from Makartt (the end result was very inconsistent, sometimes it dried off and you wouldn’t need to wipe off, other times it never dried but I did try using this one as a top coat for dip powder manicures so it could be it dries well with polygel only). Then I saw this set on Amazon. The reviews were not encouraging as there were many customers that had purchased other products from the same brand (PH Bond and Primer) that claimed the product had burned through their nail and had caused fungus and the skin under their nails to burn. Personally, this is my first time using this product from this brand and I am in love with the results! This is exactly what I was looking for, a base and top coat I could use for any of the different manicures I choose for the day. Cures with UV light and does not need to wipe off, this came off far more gorgeous than I thought it would look, no secondary effects and the bottles do come with a good amount. I have a sally hansen, 60 second dry, and a ORLY topcoat already but NONE of them compare to this.This topcoat is thick, which makes it pretty easy to apply to be honest because its more obvious where you're put it. And as long as you paint the cap or edge of your nails you will notice how much longer it lasts. I'm talking 5 days to a week with no chips, dents, dings or bubbles – depending on how hard you are on your hands and nails. i'd say I'm pretty rough on mine and still get 5 days of perfection. I'm have been doing my own mani’s and pedi’s and I like for them to look as professionally done as possible. So I opted for a gel like top coat. At the same time, I had purchased an OPI one and this Seche one. After comparing, this Seche top coat was by far so much BETTER! I have used it with several brands of polishes, regular and gel. I do believe this top coat is what helps my manicures last as long as they do. It is a great product that I will definitely be repurchasing! I find this product excellent when compared with the horrific chemical "stuff" at most nail salons. However, there is a difference between the regular top coat and the gel top coat….the latter has a stronger odor. I have noticed this when I leave my place and return later and there is a slight smell in the air as I enter! This is a small complaint in the scheme of things.Joanne M.
I like this brand a lot for their clean business model and would love to write a stellar review, but after giving this many try's, I can't see any difference or visible addition of shine or protection that it gives to my nails or with regard to nail color protection. The brush is nice as an applicator and goes on well I like the design of the bottle- it's a little slimmer than most that I have which are round or square and easy to store or carry. I'm giving it a neutral review with a tip towards the positive because of the quality of product, style, company mission but not based on any functional qualities.

I have used Seche Vite top coat for years. I recently got a three pack from Amazon and they are awful. I’ve ordered from their store on Amazon several times before and haven’t had this big of an issue. I’ve kind of always had the shrinkage problem with Seche Vite, but now it looks worse (the lines on the side of my nails where you can see where the top coat is on top of the color). Now though it lifts up the nail polish and chips off in sheets. I make sure to not get the top coat on my skin so there isn’t a lot to lift up, but still it lifts up on the sides of my nails and around my cuticles the next day. I’m also getting more chips, again the next day. I don’t know if this is just a batch problem, but I feel like I may stay clear of Seche Vite for a while. I ordered Glisten Glow’s top coat after I read amazing reviews so hopefully that will work out better!kari.w
I've been using this product for the past two years and it's been my go to top coat . My nail polish will last for about 5-7 days , while using this top coat. I've used other top coats in the past but this one is the best one. Also, it provided a nice finish to your nails after polishing. Get this top coat and you won't regret it. I just wished the formula would stay the same even when you're running low on the product. I hope the company looks into this because it's my only complaint. The top coat should be usable until the bottle is empty .
This top coat really is fast drying, but not only that, it dries to a hard lacquered finish. The best thing about it is that it's meant to be used over still wet nail polish; it's far more convenient to go straight into your top coat than having to wait minutes for each coat to dry down. The only issue this polish has is that it shrinks. You have to be careful to completely cover all areas where polish is with this top coat, because otherwise there will be a line of demarcation where the top coat has shrunk a bit. Not a huge deal, but can be very apparent and annoying if you're doing a plain black crème polish (not fun to have to re-do a nail). That said, once you know that, it's not too difficult to be mindful of covering the entire painted surface. i cant say enough good things about opi. i use so many of their products. this product is a 3 in 1. it works as a base coat, a top coat, and a strengthening formula. it’s clear, but it looks so good on the nail. it’s strengthens my nails really well. and it’s easy to apply other coats to it if you want. or stickers. would definitely recommend!jennifer.f
If I don't use this my nail polish always smudges and won't dry. I always apply a base coat then 2 coats of colour followed by this OPI RapiDry Top Coat. It dries everything in less than 1 minute and then I can go about my day. I still make sure that I wear open toed shoes the day I paint my toenails as I'm paranoid of it smudging but it really does dry it rapidly. It also makes my nail polish colour look really shiny and prevents the edges from chipping. If you are looking for something that really does dry rapidly then I would recommend this to you.
What happened to this formula! This product used to be the bee's knees…it is awful now! Such a waste of money. It is so thick and goopy…I've tried 3 bottles recently, in hopes it was a bad batch or something…and all were junky! It ruins your painted nails, smudged, streaked and bubbles. Even if you use A TON of product, and get lucky enough for it to dry…there are still going to be tiny bubbles. Also, it literally doesn't dry through with a base + 2 color coats. This top coat will be the best you’ve ever used if you use it correctly. The first few times I tried it I was very disappointed with it. Hours after painting my nails, I was still getting smudges and nicks in the polish. It looked as though it was getting smudged and cloudy, and there was no shine. Then, I tried letting my coats dry A LOT longer then I usually would, and I dried them with a mini fan. After THAT, I had a shiny manicure that lasted over a week with little to no chipping. So- if you have the time to let your coats dry quite a long time, and/or an instrument to dry them (fan) then you will have great results!sd
Love this from OPI! OPI has recently become my new fave brand when it comes to nails. The finishing base coat and top coat work emmensly and has the quickest drying time I’ve ever experienced! They’ve knocked all my other nail products out the park! I was super pleased with my application process. So many nail salons use the brand OPI and it has been featured in Hollywood movies! I have been using this top coat on my nails for years and I love it because it leaves my nail polish so shiny. It's quite thick so you don't need much on the brush and I would recommend you do wipe the brush up the side of the bottle to remove some before you go in and apply it over your nail polish colour. Sometimes the brush does turn the same colour as the nail polish I'm applying it to but that doesn't effect the top coat at all. It also protects the edges of my nails from chipping too. The only thing that I don't particularly like is that it does take longer to dry that other brands I've used so that's why I'm giving it 4 stars.

I am not one to leave a review. I am a long time nail salon junkie and finally decided to "do my own" . I have done the dip and gel polish at home for a few years now and hate the time consumption of the dip and gel keep up. So I have decided to try another route again. I am now relishing in my natural nail beauty and have found this product to be a life saver! I start with an OPI Nail Envy nail strengthener, and then any polish of my choice, I currently am using OPI brand. I then seal with Big Dry top coat from Sally Hansen. This dries really fast. I then use the SALLY HANSEN MIRACLE GEL TOP COAT, it dries in about 5 minutes, and then I add one more coat of the Big Dry top coat.. and PERFECT AND LONG LASTING RESULTS! All I can say is I think it dries faster if you use the big dry top coat prior to just putting it directly onto the polish. This is probably one of my favourite nail polishes. I love the shade of green and the non-goopy application of it. It’s also lasted longer than any of the other expensive polish brands I own (all the ones that promise no chips for two weeks and then they chip next day no matter how careful you are). I’ve gotten a bit less than a week’s wear out of it, but even now it’s only a couple chips on a few fingers, which is to be expected because I’m a mom of young kids, so I am constantly doing something with my hands and washing them. I see other reviewers mentioning how sheer applications are, which is true, but it just means you need a couple extra coats, which honestly isn’t a big deal; I find that most polishes, no matter how much coverage they give you, need additional coats anyways. When I use this polish along with the Miracle Gel top coat, I get a solid week out of the nails before I get any chipping. Usually I only have to repaint them when the nails are growing out too much. Dries quickly, so apply quickly and carefully. This is a great middle ground between regular polish and real gel, meaning it is great for home use. You can get thick coverege that hides your ridges without needing to buff your nails if you do 2 color and 1 top coat. I'm in the process of replacing all my existing polishes with Miracle Gel versions.LH

As the title says, it's a nail polish. I haven't noticed anything particularly spectacular about this particular polish over others with similar claims. It hasn't made my manicures last longer or kept my nails from chipping any more than other all-in-one or base coat/top coat in one polishes. Pros wise, it's a nice viscosity, which makes it go on easily without much mess. If you load the brush properly prior to applying to to your nail, you should be able to get a nice even coat without much hassle (which I can't say for all products in the same category). And while this may not mean much to some, I appreciate Essie's bottle design because it makes storage much easier. While other brands more aesthetic designs may look nice, unless you have dedicated shelving unit or other display for your polishes, storing them can be difficult and take up far more space than necessary. All in all, in my opinion this product isn't something to write home about, but I wouldn't phone it in either. I would definitely choose this over several of it's competitors with similar claims and price points simply for the above mentioned pros of easy of application and storage.Siriuslestrange1
I am a huge fan of Essie's nail products and also recommend this new All-in-One Base and Top Coat as well now. I have brittle nails that easily get stained and require a basecoat and top coat as well as a nail strengthener whenever I use nail polish. Essie's All-in-One Base/Top Coat is basically the one-stop product that I use due to convenience since it works as both a base and top coat. I do have to mention that this product has a quick expiration date and the formula and texture changes over time. It becomes thicker, less spreadable, and a bit less efficient when it becomes old. It works best when it's fresh, so it works especially well for those who consistently use nail polish in quick succession and not for those who might use it over a long duration of time. Overall, I am quite satisfied with it, but as I'm one of those lazy people who only use nail polish sporadically, a bottle of these usually lasts me quite a long time and ends up with some wasted.RDCn
I bought this in hopes it would give a better shine to the pink essie polish and base coat I already had. I've used the pink alone with two coats and 30 min dry time between coats with zero problems. It typically stayed for 3/4 days before wearing off so I thought the top coat would help it stay longer. I applied the polish exactly as before and waited a full hour after the second coat of color to apply the top coat. I touch tested the color and made sure it was fully dry before applying top coat. I applied top coat on one hand. After an hour, it still wasn't dry and when I tested it, everything was wet and the all the polish came off as if the color layer was fully wet. I draped a paper towel on the nail and all the polish stuck to the paper and came off the nail. The other hand, without top coat, was still fine a day later. I've tried again on one nail waiting for the color coats to dry overnight before applying the top coat and same effect. It's as if the top coat re-wets the color polish and just never dries. Top coat works as a polish remover. Very disappointed with the top coat of SAME brand would interact this way with polish.GoingSallyHnsn

I have used this brand for about a decade and though I have tried other brands of base and top coats, I keep coming back to Seche Vite every single time. There is just something about the formulation that makes my polish last for over a week without chipping. For some reason no other brand of base/top coat does that for me. I don't bother with other brands even if there's a special sale. This really is the best for a long lasting manicure and a beautiful shine. Side perk: it seems to make my two to three layers of polish dry much quicker than normal (I don't usually wait for each layer to dry fully). Seche Vute is my ride or die.
I use the Seche Clear base coat combined with the Seche Clear Fast dry top coat. The combination keeps my nails protected, strong, and my manicures last at least a week. I like the width of the brush, it’s just wide enough to cover the nail in 2-3 strokes but not make a mess. The base coat dries pretty quickly so you don’t have to wait long to start applying your polish. I highly recommend Seche products.stevie.m
I love this brand for and I thought that it would be just as good as a base coat. It is just as good and the top coat. It dries quickly and is clear. It makes my nails look so healthy and shiny just by itself. I have used this for a while now and I do think it helps my polish stay on longer. I have been using this top coat forever and thought I was just awful at doing nails. But nope, it's this top coat! It does NOT dry. Hours later I will touch something get a wet looking imprint on my nail or have a part completely smear off. I'm not even heavy handed with this stuff and it's awful. My nails don't even last a full day with this top coat, they immediately look bad and start pulling the paint off dry nails.Brittany
This polish does take a long time to dry/cure (being in the cold helps,) but once it does, its staying power is amazing. I use it as a top coat for my nails, but I also paint it on the tips of my kids’ hockey sticks and skis to keep them from chipping and splitting. No joke, it is the best product I have found for this “off-brand” purpose. It bonds great to these laminated surfaces, to other glues/fillers/adhesives (we sometimes fill in big ruts with epoxy,) and to fingernails, of course, and something about the acrylic in the formula must give it just enough flex to stand up to the abuse these pieces of athletic equipment sustain on a continuous basis. I will say that if you try to apply a second coat of this the brush does tend to get caught on the first coat and drag a bit, so for manicures I would stick to one coat, and to load the brush up generously when applying so you get a nice, clean stroke every time. 🙂April
the top coat dries quickly, and my polish didn't chip while using it – the edges of the tips seem to just push back instead of chipping. HOWEVER for some reason, I always find tiny holes in my nail polish that grow over time when I use this top coat. I've noticed it with different colors and formulas now, including a shimmery sally hansen argan oil polish, a pink olive and june polish, and the one coat black holo taco polish. the top coat dries with little bumps, which eventually turn into tiny holes (needle to toothpick sized) that burn through the polish, and I can see down to my natural nail bed through). at first I thought it might just be a weird reaction to specific polish combinations, but now i'm giving up and tossing this bottle.bri

I am so impressed with this top coat! I previously used Seche Vite but I got annoyed with the shrinking so I decided to give this product a shot. I applied a base coat of Seche Vite Base Coat, 2 layers of OPI polish and topped it with this Nina Top Coat. It's been exactly a week since I applied that and there is hardly a chip in sight. I can't believe it. I used to be able to get to 5 days with Seche Vite and even then I had chips after 3 days. I should be able to get at least another couple days out of this at-home-manicure!
