I brought this as I’ve got naturally very long nails but due to hand washing my hands and nails were looking damaged. This came in am OPI mini bag with some cuticle oil and the hand cream. It smells like I’ve been to a spa and makes my hands and nails lovely and hydrated. I did think my hands felt a little tingly at first so be careful with this cream if you have any chapped skin. I like it as from the first application my hands looks and feels better as it conditions my hands which are parched dry mainly because I am constantly washing my hands throughout the day with my job and the worst offender which creates the most damage is the hand dryer at work as it really makes my hands extremely dry and tight.I love the OPI hand and nail cream mainly because it immediately soaks into my skin with no need for removing any greasy residue which a lot of other hand creams can do to me personally.I like how it not only looks after the skin of my hands but also my cuticles and nails meaning they are fed with moisturisation as well as all the natural goodness which is used to make this excellent quality hand cream. When I first used this cream I could tell immediately it was of a very high quality, it just feels incredibly smooth, sinks in instantly and leaves hands feeling great smooth and moisturised and not at all greasy. It calms my hands down when they are feeling itchy and irritated.So what is in it cupuacu butter which is from a rainforest tree related to cacao. The national fruit of Brazil, it restores elasticity, provides intense hydration and is good for sunburned, ageing or dry skin. There is also white tea which is antioxidant rich, and ProSina a hydrolysed keratin which moisturises the skin and strengthens the nails.I can also spot shea butter, avocado oil and daisy flower extract in the list of ingredients.Because of the price I would resent having to wash my hands any time after applying, I would choose to wear at night or on a long flight and pay special attention to my cuticles.The scent is hard to define, slightly grassywoody.If you buy more it is cheaper, if you chose to splash out 36 you would at current prices pay 15.25 per 100ml as opposed to the 50ml tube which works out at 24 per 100ml.The packaging is good, the tube comes in an attractive box like all OPI products this is good quality.Anonymous

I only gave this 3 stars because although it is a great nail strengthener, it really worked, I ordered the light pink twice and twice I received beige. When I called, VCS checked with the company and told me they said sheer pink is pink … but I have 2 jars both labeled sheer pink but they are definitely beige. It lasted over a week before I took it off easily with remover and polished again. I ordered the light pink bottle but it is definitely NOT pink at all. With one application it is clear. I am actually astonished I am the first person to rate this product because this cleanser is so amazing. Perhaps its an age thing maybe Ulta appeals to a younger crowd that hasnt had to get SERIOUS about their skincare quite yet but when you are honey let me introduce you to Elemis. Elemis is a brand brought over from the UK. I tried it out as it was offered at a great deal through an online shopping site and so glad I do. I am 40 years old with very dry skin. No really obvious wrinkles yet or even texture issues yet somehow Elemis finds ways to improve my skin. Of course I am using a regime of Elemis now with this cleanser, a day and night cream so lets just discuss this cleansing balm though everything is amazing and I havent heard any different from anyone who has tried it. The balm has a very herbal type of natural spa smell if you enjoy the Aveda experience and scents, youll like the cleansing balm scent as well. Its somewhere between a solid and a liquid in the jar but instantly starts to melt the moment you dip up a very small amount just enough to cover your index finger and massage it into your face. The addition of a little warm water gives it a frothy cleansing feeling and then you simply wipe it away. My typically dry skin feels extremly hydrated and soft after cleansing with this balm and it washes away every trace of makeup. My only complaint is that they do not recommend using it on the eyes, so that necessitates a separate step I wish wasnt necessary. Ive heard some people do use this to remove eye makeup and it works, but I am guessing their warning has to do with some of the botanicals perhaps not being safe to mistakenly be rubbed into the eyes mucous membrane. It does have quite the herbal punch and would probably sting if it did get rubbed into the eye. However it is a small price to pay for the results. I will continue to use the Elemis cleansing balm as long as it is offered. Finally a HG cleanserAnonymous
I bought these a little while ago as a makeup remover. This is more likely a winter skincare , a little too emollient for summer. I apply an almond sized amount on dry skin, the balm will turn into light oil texture , it takes off all makeup except for eye makeup I use a Japanese brand kiss me mascara which is quite waterproof. The mascara I use comes out best only with a biphase eye makeup remover, using the Elemis balm takes a little too long and the product isnt really suitable for too much massage on eye area if you use a waterproof mascara or eyeliner for example.Also the face cloth removal is recommended , if you simply rinse off with warm water in the shower, it works on the whole face but not so well for the eye area, feels a bit oily and slight discomfort and doesnt remove all my mascara.In a way its lighter than most cleansing oil eg Ive tried Shu Uemura and Fancl and other Japanese drugstore variety of cleansing oil, the consistency of Elemis balm is thinner after applying on face compared to all cleansing oils above.You dont need to follow with a face cleanser after this , but I do out of personal preference.3.5 stars feels therapeutic, smells nice note in summer there tends to be a oil layer floating on top. The tub can last a few months. Would be nice if they include two clothes for rotation. Yet to open my eve lom cleanser but at this rate unfortunately I dont think elemis is worth repurchasing at the current price point. If you like cleansing balms theres ones from eve lom, darphin and Shu Uemura to try.Im 35 with fair, combination skin blackheads and pigmentation are primary concerns, occasional dry cheeks.This product is rather neutral on skin condition doesnt make me oilier or dryer or reduce or increase blackheads.Anonymous
Meh. I guess Im not part of the majority with this product. Im actually kind of shocked that it is currently in the 10 spot for skin cleansers. I found this balm to be a little too balmy and less of a melty, oil type cleanser that has a bit of slip to help remove makeup. Instead, the texture remain pretty thick, almost waxy, upon application. Upon rinsing, there was a thick residue feeling on my skin, like beyond just feeling soft but like an actual film. Even when I double cleansed after with that I know to be effective at removing makeup and making my skin feel very clean, there was still a slight residue it weird feeling to my skin. Also, it broke me out like crazy around my jaw. Like so bad and I know its from this balm since its the only product Ive changed in my routine. Smells incredible though like being at the spa. I think if I had incredibly dry, parched skin and really needed a hydration boost, andor wasnt so acne prone, this may be a great option. Im unfortunately not a fan, which is too bad because Ive heard from so many how wonderful of a brand brandelemis is. This hand cream has been a savior to my sensitive, dry, cranky hands. I have mast cell issues so I get various rashes on my hands, especially in the winter. Sometimes these rashes are accompanied by tiny blisters that just get worse with the use of hand creams. I didn’t want to use prescription steroid creams so I kept searching for a better hand cream. Finally I turned to the hand creams at the Body Shop. After going through 2 or 3 other ones I finally tried the almond hand cream and it was love at first use. It didn’t irritate the rashes and blisters on my hands and it even seemed to help them while soothing my dry, peeling, and flaking skin. With continued use my hands healed and I’ve continued to use it ever since. It sinks in quickly and leaves almost no residue. It’s on the lighter side so I do need to apply it several times a day when my hands are extra dry but it’s worth it since it works and doesn’t burn my hands. It’s expensive but I always buy it when there’s a sale and stock up. Can’t go wrong with this cream.ali.c
The Body Shop Almond Hand Nail manicure cream worked miracle for my hands. It actually worked in moisturizing and hydrating them. It also healed my hands and nails with continuous usage when used overnight. And the effect was long lasting and not temporary like most of the other handcreams. I find the scent not very string which is perfect to be used while sleeping as well. I have finished and repurchased it twice already. I've been using this cream for several years. I've always been disappointed that it doesn't smell like almonds. And I do not like perfume scents, which this has, but it used to be milder & more tolerable. I think they increased it, and I'm really unhappy. With allergies, perfumes make my nose itch, eyes burn, sinuses irritated, and often cause a headache. I'm frustrated that I cannot find an unscented product here. I use the hemp lotion at night, which isn't perfumed but has an odd smell. At least it's not strong or irritating. But in the winter when my nails are weak, I prefer this one during the day, which has a nicer (less greasy) feel to it and leaves my hands soft even after washing. I can't say I noticed if it helped my nails any. I'd use it all year long if it didn't have this awful scent. Instead I buy unscented lotion. I received this hand cream as a sample with my order. I absolutely love hand creams and I’m always looking to try different ones. I do plan to order this hand cream in a larger size because I like it. The consistency is very nice without a greasy feel and my nails and cuticles have looked healthier since using it. I will say though, that the smell is not that great to me. It does have, and no offense to anyone, what I would think of as an “old lady” smell. I've been a big advocate of your products for a very long time, in particular for the hand cream as I suffer with dermititis and eczema it really helps. There has never been an issue until the new design for the lid was introduced. When starting new there is no issue, a fine line of cream is dispensed upon squeezing but after a couple of days the consistency is very unreliable. Sometimes you will get a clean fine line and other times a very thick gunk of cream. I have been regularly cleaning the hole the cream comes from and this helps a little but nothing fully. I'm sure you can appreciate that, for me, your products are high ticket items and to waste so much cream from each tube is not financially viable for me. Whoever tested the new design must not have used it very often.BrianC

Love how my hand absorbs this without making my hands feel sticky. Not only is the price affordable but it also works well for me. Especially when i hve sweaty palms..it is often hard to find hand creams that not only helps but also not leave a sticky after feeling. I enjoy this affordable, light weight hand cream. I think the claim Vaseline makes regarding nail strength or nail growth is pretty farfetched. Keeping your hands moisturized and healthy in general will contribute to healthy nails. The bottle is pink, as you see.. It’s cute! I’m not an expert, just an enthusiast – however after reading the ingredients, nothing stands out as unusual in comparison to other moisturizers.. On their website they also have a few key sentences about the product and they fail to mention how or why it nourishes nails. I have used this product for many, many years! It's the only hand lotion that I have found that absorbs quickly without a heavy, greasy residue. When I purchase this product, I usually purchased 4-6 bottles at a time, placing all throughout my house. Recently I purchased several bottles and noticed the bottle had been redesigned. Nothing on the bottle mentions a new formula, but it's definitely not what I have been using and it's horrible! The new cap design just gushes out the product, and the lotion is very runny, so it creates a mess all over the cap, and you end up with way too much lotion. Also, it just feels gross! It doesn't feel moisturizing at all, no matter how many time you reapply. Then when you got to wash your hands, water beads up all over your hands, as if you just slathered on a coat of vaseline. I am so disappointed in this product and I hope you bring back the previous fomula and cap design.StephanieB

I was hoping this product was the same as the similar discontinued product (can't mention the name, I guess). I had read online that it was. It isn't. The older product just smelled like almonds. This has a sweeter smell that I don't like as much. It has cocoa butter as an ingredient, which the other did not. The feel and texture are similar, and, although I haven't tried it yet (still using up my old tub), I expect it will be just as effective. (The old product worked great). UPDATE: I tried it. The texture is a little different, which I could live with. After it soaked in, though, my hands smelled like baby powder. I'm not one for fragrance, and all night I kept smelling it every time my hands went near my face. Might be okay if you like flowery smells. Wish they still had the older product, which I loved. UPDATE2: Decided to keep using it for a bit, since I paid a good bit for it. It does not work as well as the old product. I love caudalie and was surprised that I found this product to my extreme disliking. I do not recommend this product because it first of all has a strong, suffocating smell, in my experience (like an overwhelming perfume). And, it created a burning sensation on my hands. I wash my hands often and have sensitive skin. This product managed to thoroughly irritate those conditions. I'd assume that many folks wanting a hand cream have some sort of dryness. So, I just wished they created something that would be without such strong scent or whatever it was that led to irritation. I realized I needed to do something about my dry fingers when they start bleeding in a store in the middle of winter from two different spots. I have always struggled with dry cuticles and horrible hangnails. Within a couple of days of using this, my fingers were significantly better! I have not had any major hangnails since and my cuticles are healthy. My nails also grow faster and stronger too. I apply it every night and then put on beauty gloves to sleep. I have used #Burt's Bees for at least 15 years and absolutely love it. I put it on in the mornings, #protip put the tin under you leg for about 5 minutes, or you remember it, so it's nice and soft. Then go to town! I rub the tips of each finger in the balm, each finger then rubs it on their opposite digit. You will be using a bit more than you really need but with this method you can give your fingers a little massage. It's the only thing I consistently do daily. The result is strong, well nourished nails. Oh the fragrance!!! Lemon is my happy smell so I could just sniff this all day! I'll even rub a little bit on my neck like perfume. I did like this hand cream. Firstly (niche reference, but for the millennials out there) it smells exactly like the little beads they used to put in the bags at La Senza which took me right back! It sinks into the skin easily but also leaves a little residue so it feels like it's working long after you've rubbed it in. I haven't noticed much improvement to my dry hands from using this everyday for a few weeks. I would say it's more for everyday use for mildly dry hands rather than an intensive treatment. I would say this is poor value for money as although it smells lovely, it just doesn't do what it's designed to do.Joeymole

I purchased this to have a lightly moisturizing hand cream for my purse. Unfortunately it does not provide any moisture. I apply it and it absorbs quickly which is nice but it provides no moisture. Not a fan of the scent either; smells like a cheap attempt at a spa fragrance, but the scent fades so if it were moisturizing, I could get past it, but it's a pass for me.Rae

This is a product which needs sustained and continued use. I use it every night before sleep and I can see some improvements in the base of my nails. Early days but given how problematical they are (health related issues) I'm surprised anything works at all. Good enough to purchase a second pot.Pickywitch
Packaging is good. Small size but will last you for a while, has a very mild scent that is neither good nor bad. The quality is nice, it feels hydrating and absorbs quickly. The texture is more like a lotion than a cream but it’s not runny. Best way to use (at least for me): apply and massage in before bed to let your cuticles hydrate overnight, you’ll start to see results after a few days.
