I may be late to the OPI Mexico City Collection's Spring 2020 release, but at least I finally found that rad yellow creme! With my pale, pink-toned skin, finding a yellow that is saturated without leaning too dark, pastel, or neon — AND has a 3-coat (or less) formula — is a real challenge. I got my hands on this color after stumbling into an Amazon sale (the "Buy at least $20 worth of these selected items, get $5 off" kind? It was the first time I tried it out!) where a few of the OPI Mexico City colors were included. I had heard about this color for a while, and watched nail polish swatchers on YouTube include it in their side-by-side yellow polish comparisons every season, but I could never find it in-stock at a reasonable shipping rate until that sale. Score! As you can see from my photo, it's a slightly lighter yellow, but it works like a standard yellow on my fair skin when compared to darker shades. It pops in just the right way! Plus, its formula is 3 coats maximum for full opacity, which is hard to achieve with yellow polish at any price point. (Don't you hate it when a color of polish is sold as the brand's "standard primary color," only to find out it takes 4 or 5 streaky coats to achieve that color? This nail file is equivalent to a fine grade sandpaper. It does a nice job of filing the nail while not tearing and creating a smooth edge. I find that I don't need to do a final file to smooth the edges. My only complaint is that there is about a 2-3 mm smooth edge around the file. For very short nails, this edge makes it a little difficult to file around nail edges. Overall, this file is light weight and will last with proper care!

I got one of these in a lottle nail kit by Revlon like 8 years ago and while the rest of the kit has been used and lost ove the years this file has somehow stayed with me even moving across the entire country! I use this file regularly and have for years. Others have worn out broke or got lost but this one just keeps on performing. I'm super impressed! Its so super durable, I've even used this on acrylics and there were no negative effects (I don't recommend using these types of files with acrylic nails). This file is a great combo of good quality, low price, and ideal size. Because of the low price, I can have several, one each in my bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, living room, desk drawer… oh yes, and in my purse. I have also been a long time user of the Revlon emery board shapers and consistently purchased the violet ones with the white flowers. Since I do my own artificial nails, I have used many different kinds of emery boards and sanding blocks, and these are the best I've found, even better than a much more expensive brand found in salons and beauty supply stores. There is a coarse side, for shaping, and a fine side, for smoothing and finishing. The grit is long-lasting; one board lasts several months before needing replacement, and when I replace that board, the old one goes to the tool box for use in sanding in small household jobs. I've even used these boards for taking sharp edges off parrot claws. I have been using Revlon's nail files since day one. They are tried, tested, and true and will never let your nails down. They have durable file strips and last a long time. They don't wear down easily. They also don't rip apart your nails when filing them, or file them too much if you're only using them to shape. They do however file quickly when you need to get rid of length. The reason I took off one star is because sometimes they snap or the strip peels a bit and it makes it really hard to use after. Very good for creating a nice round shape, a bit trucker to use if you like a slightly squared off look to the finish as you need a straight bit for that. Used as a buffing tool on the surface of my nails, this product smooths out the ridges and leaves my nails surprisingly shiny, like I had just put on polish.
