I may be late to the OPI Mexico City Collection's Spring 2020 release, but at least I finally found that rad yellow creme! With my pale, pink-toned skin, finding a yellow that is saturated without leaning too dark, pastel, or neon — AND has a 3-coat (or less) formula — is a real challenge. I got my hands on this color after stumbling into an Amazon sale (the "Buy at least $20 worth of these selected items, get $5 off" kind? It was the first time I tried it out!) where a few of the OPI Mexico City colors were included. I had heard about this color for a while, and watched nail polish swatchers on YouTube include it in their side-by-side yellow polish comparisons every season, but I could never find it in-stock at a reasonable shipping rate until that sale. Score! As you can see from my photo, it's a slightly lighter yellow, but it works like a standard yellow on my fair skin when compared to darker shades. It pops in just the right way! Plus, its formula is 3 coats maximum for full opacity, which is hard to achieve with yellow polish at any price point. (Don't you hate it when a color of polish is sold as the brand's "standard primary color," only to find out it takes 4 or 5 streaky coats to achieve that color? So many polish brands do that with yellow and white, even at the salon level. No, thank you!) I got one of these in a lottle nail kit by Revlon like 8 years ago and while the rest of the kit has been used and lost ove the years this file has somehow stayed with me even moving across the entire country! I use this file regularly and have for years. Others have worn out broke or got lost but this one just keeps on performing. I'm super impressed! Its so super durable, I've even used this on acrylics and there were no negative effects (I don't recommend using these types of files with acrylic nails). It is just starting to dull down the smallest amount but as I mentioned I've had it over 8 years. That's a whole lot of filing! Great well made product! This file is a great combo of good quality, low price, and ideal size. Because of the low price, I can have several, one each in my bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, living room, desk drawer… oh yes, and in my purse. I never know where I might be when I snag a nail, and to me it feels oh-so-luxurious to not have to get up and find the only nail file in the house. The size is easily portable, but not so small that you feel like you're using a little girl's file. One side of the file is for shaping, the other for finishing. My only complaint about this file is that which side is which is not marked, and it's a small difference that requires some testing to discover. Luckily, one side of the handle has the word China stamped in small letters. For my files, anyway, that seems to be the shaping side. With all the spare time on my hands during the pandemic, I decided to put something else on my hands, and began investing time and energy into doing my own manicures at home. I've gotten pretty handy at it! As my skills have grown, so has my need for better tools for the job, so I jumped at the chance to test a free Tweezerman glass nail file and share my thoughts. Firstly, what I love: I am delighted that this product comes in a perfectly fitted protective case. That's so handy! I also love that the etched glass surface holds up to my best crystal file and does not wear away over time. It works well and files smoothly, without the annoying drag of an emory board. What I wish could be improved is that I can't quite tell if both sides have the same grit or different, and I'd love to see a strong difference in grit clearly labelled on either side for precise filing. I'd also like to see this product in fun colours!

As a first time glass nail file user I was eager to give this a try. I couldn't imagine a glass nail file being able to do what an emery board can, but it does! This Tweezerman Glass Nail File leaves your nails feeling super soft with no jagged edges, it is well made, durable & easy to use too! Cleaning the nail file is simple, I recommend using a little isopropyl alcohol and a towel or some cotton balls. It really is that easy! One of my favorite parts about this file is that it is better for the environment by decreasing waste accumulated by disposable emery boards! Just a couple things I feel this nail file could be improved on would be the sharpness & time required to achieve the desired length/shape. Sometimes if I have a nail that's really grown off course I do struggle with the file. It takes a very long time to reach my goal. At this time it requires much more pressure. I genuinely feel if the file was slightly sharper it would alleviate this issue.

I had the old version of this product and it was amazing! I gave it to a relative in Turkey thinking oh when I go back I'll order another one! And then this came! What? This is not anything like the old version. The old version did not have this thick round piece on the other side. It was a way thinner tool that would actually fit under the nail. This is like trying to stick a tree trunk under your nail! And now I have 3 because Amazon had one with the old model's photos. I hate it. Revert to the old model please!

This has a steady handle and a perfect angle to do any toe nail work you need to do careful steady work on. Ingrown toe nails on the big toe seem to be a family thing on my father's side, and sadly my son has the same issue. I use this to work on his and to keep his nail bed clean and healthy.
