This duo gets the job done but not the best compared to others. The base doesn’t always lay smoothly and that really shows on the polish. The top coat takes forever to dry and even when it’s been cured it still has a tacky feeling to it which can leave marks on your polish. DND was the first gel polish company I used. So naturally I knew nothing how about other brands. I use the top coat majority of the time when I was learning how to do nails. With that being said I loved it until I started doing more research. This top coat is not as shiny as I would like it to be, now that I have been using other brands. I have since than moved on to nailsupplyglamour top coat. What has bothered me about this brand top coat is once you use alcohol to wipe off the top layer it instantly gets dull. Now I know this is not a top coat that you need to wipe, but if you accidentally got something on it and you need to wipe it off you definitely can't use alcohol. This is definitely beginners friendly, so if you need something cheap to learn how to do nails, and need a basic top coat this is your product.kamry.m
I have since used with many other gel color brands and they work wonderfully. The top coat is NOT super-thick, like some other brands, so I use as little as possible. Also, be sure not to tilt your nails to the sides when putting into the LED/UV curing machine (doing so may result in pooled topcoat at the sides of the nail, if you have used a little too much). I typically cure my thumbs separately, so that all my fingers lay FLAT in the curing lamp. The finish is beautifully shiny and does require the sticky film to be removed with alcohol after curing the final coat. This is my go to nail growth, strengthener polish. When I use it my nails are harder to break and they grow like crazy! It's easy to add polish over as well. We also discovered that it shows up under a black light. I have recommended it to every one. If you are having issue with your nails getting weak and breaking, give this a shot. The smell is like most nail polishes and can be strong but it dries super fast. It's worth the search for it. I have found it at grocery outlet, Walmart, Walgreens, Dollar general had it once. This is probably one of my favourite nail polishes. I love the shade of green and the non-goopy application of it. It’s also lasted longer than any of the other expensive polish brands I own (all the ones that promise no chips for two weeks and then they chip next day no matter how careful you are). I’ve gotten a bit less than a week’s wear out of it, but even now it’s only a couple chips on a few fingers, which is to be expected because I’m a mom of young kids, so I am constantly doing something with my hands and washing them. I see other reviewers mentioning how sheer applications are, which is true, but it just means you need a couple extra coats, which honestly isn’t a big deal; I find that most polishes, no matter how much coverage they give you, need additional coats anyways. I bought this last weekend and tried it this week, but the colour was really streaky and thin. I checked the website which says apply two coats and then allow to dry for 5 minutes. Not sure what I could've done wrong because I shook the bottle vigorously and allowed plenty of time between each coat, and it was as if the second coat of step 1 dissolved the first coat, and the brush was scraping back the last coat of colour when I applied the second coat of step 1. My natural nail was showing through the polish after a second coat. After I applied the top gel coat (step 2), it was still tacky the next day! The shine top coat also seemed to dissolve the pigment and drag it around as I brushed the top coat over the nail, so after the Step 2 coat it's left patches in my nails with no colour now. One of my nails weirdly turned out matte after I put the gloss coat on it. I have had much better results from cheap $2 brands but this was over $30 for the set of step 1 and 2 polishes, and it's so fussy and I can't do anything with my hands for hours after applying because it'll ruin the finish. When I use this polish along with the Miracle Gel top coat, I get a solid week out of the nails before I get any chipping. Usually I only have to repaint them when the nails are growing out too much. Dries quickly, so apply quickly and carefully. This is a great middle ground between regular polish and real gel, meaning it is great for home use. You can get thick coverege that hides your ridges without needing to buff your nails if you do 2 color and 1 top coat. I decided to treat myself to this after usually only buying standard nail polishes. Reading the reviews I went ahead and was really excited to try it out. The initial application was great, went on really well and dried quite quickly. However, less than 24 hours later, 8 out of my 10 nails are chipped, and the varnish has actually peeled off two of my nails altogether! I only did my toenails, not my fingernails, so it’s not as if my nails have been bashed about with general day to day. Love the idea of it and this colour is just gorgeous. However the brushes in this (maybe i got a dodgy one) but it left a lot of streaks and didn’t apply smoothly and did have a few straggler hairs which made a mess. Other than that the shape of the brush is great for around the cuticles. Not much product but I guess that’s the purpose for it to be travel friendly. I applied my first Miracle Gel, color 'Saturn it Up'. One week and absolutely no chips. It was even difficult to file with my Revlon file boards. My nails were destroyed 2 weeks ago when my Gel soak off polish would not come off after soaking my fingers for 15 minutes in acetone. I had to slowly peel them and then soak again to no avail. So with damaged and paper thin nails I tried the miracle. I did 3 coats but they were super thick. There was a little distortion under the top get. The top gel dried great but step one wasn't dry all the way. I'm going to do the process again even though I don't need to. I bought several other colors and have decided to give myself permission to change colors every week! I am thrilled after trying the gels. I bought rain-glow yesterday. I unwrapped the plastic, so I know it was brand new, and started to do step one. The first couple nails were challenging because the color seemed quite thick. It did not go on smooth. By the time I got to the third nail I realized there was something very wrong with the color and this was not going to go well. Love the idea of it and this colour is just gorgeous. However the brushes in this (maybe i got a dodgy one) but it left a lot of streaks and didn’t apply smoothly and did have a few straggler hairs which made a mess. Other than that the shape of the brush is great for around the cuticles. Not much product but I guess that’s the purpose for it to be travel friendly. I applied my first Miracle Gel, color 'Saturn it Up'. One week and absolutely no chips. It was even difficult to file with my Revlon file boards. My nails were destroyed 2 weeks ago when my Gel soak off polish would not come off after soaking my fingers for 15 minutes in acetone. I had to slowly peel them and then soak again to no avail. So with damaged and paper thin nails I tried the miracle. I did 3 coats but they were super thick. There was a little distortion under the top get. The top gel dried great but step one wasn't dry all the way. I'm going to do the process again even though I don't need to. I bought several other colors and have decided to give myself permission to change colors every week! I am thrilled after trying the gels. I bought rain-glow yesterday. I unwrapped the plastic, so I know it was brand new, and started to do step one. The first couple nails were challenging because the color seemed quite thick. It did not go on smooth. By the time I got to the third nail I realized there was something very wrong with the color and this was not going to go well. The color was mostly thick, chunky, and would not go on smooth. I tried out step two just to see if that side was also dried up, but that side was perfectly fine. Worth it, I don’t see acrylics lasting much longer in the nail salon industry so this would be a great alternative as apposed to hard gels which is a lot harder to practice. If you’re a beginner nail tech and looking to move up in the world of nail enhancements this is your best bet. No more worrying about powder to liquid ratios and it does dry until you cure it. Ive never tried Polygel before and from watch Nail Career Educations YouTube videos about it I knew I needed to try it. From learning how to do nails on my own from YouTube videos, and having no acrylic or gel experience, I feel like Polygel is the perfect product to play with to perfect the proper nail structure (especially the apex which is especially important since I wear my natural nails very long). I probably won't use some of the shades but it had the best option on Amazon for neutral + glitter combinations. The shades I am wearing in this photo are 030 (the pink), 108 (white as a base for ring finger), and 278 (gold glitter). I like that they included the base and top coat; which makes it easy to do a complete look. Warning – the bottles with the actual shades are quite small. Only the base top coat are full size. But that's okay with me since I wanted to test out the formula and sample their shades prior to committing to a full size bottle. Overall, pretty good…for now. We shall see.vicki.n

The top and base coat bottles look identical to their gel polish color bottles except for the fact that the text on the bottle indicates which formula is which. Each bottle has a sticker on top of the cap that says "Base" and "No Wipe Top" so you can easily find them if you store your polishes inside a box. I used a 1 minute cure time with a UV/LED lamp for each layer of base, color, and top coat that was applied. Thin coats are key in getting the polish to last, as is doing the proper prep work to your nails (buffing and cleaning the surface) prior to any application of the formula.The base coat is slightly tacky after curing it, which helps to get the color coat to stick and not shrink. The top coat is a no wipe formula which leaves a smooth surface and a plump and glossy shine. As for the durability, a manicure done with this base and top coat along with an Aimeili color gel lasts for 14 days with minimal wear to the tips and hardly a chip in sight. Individually, the base and top coat sell for $6.99 each, but as a set, you will only pay $9.99. This is insanely cheap as you get 10 mL of polish in each bottle. Other gel top and base coats easily cost more than double that price for even less polish inside, and the ones from Aimeili are of an equal quality to them, if not better. This is my favorite at home summer color it brings out the melanin in my skin against this bold color making your nails noticeable from a distance or up close. The color is TC11 lime green with normal temp lawn green when cold. I love the transition of the colors because it mesmerizes some people when they notice the color change. This is a great kit! I've used it a few times now and the light is great, color lasts. Wonderful and recommended! I got another brand of colors and another base and top coat which keeps shine longer but over all, SO worth it! Read the instructions to apply correctly: specifically *don't apply all the way to cuticle* because it is thin and will spread out. Finish one hand and let it rest for a minute or so giving it time to spread and then cure under the light.Abigail
So let me just start by saying that I enjoy making my nails look pretty, like just about any other woman. I've tried it all – you name it! DIY acrylic kits, nail polish that is supposed to be "gel quality", dip powders, gluten-on nails. The whole shebang. I was skeptical at first when trying the Sensationail kit but GIRL let me tell you! This stuff has a fairly easy application process, the price is on point for what all is included and best of all.. IT LASTS! No chipping or anything of the sort and it looks like salon quality. I've tried it on my natural nails as well as using forms and it lasts with both. I've tried the raspberry wine, a gray color and a coral color as well and they're all such prettttty colors! So if you're ever wondering if you should try Sensationail products, please give this a try at least because I'm 99.9% sure you won't be disappointed. Also – everything that comes within the start kit, if you run out.. they sell extra that's separate so you don't have to buy a whole kit again!jordan.l
This product does truly stay on for a good 2 weeks or so. At the end of that time the biggest issue was my nail growth, so the gel polish works great. The raspberry wine color is very pretty-sorry of a magenta color. This is probably the most time consuming at home manicure I've ever done. The buffing, prepping/priming, and then 3 coats that go under the lamp took a long time. Be prepared to spend at least 30 min on your nails. There are some areas of the color that sort of thinned out while it cured, but I did pretty thin coats as the instructions said. But the fact that they stayed on for so long was very impressive. I have not removed it yet, but I expect it will take quite a bit of soaking in acetone.TiredMama5

I have 3 problems with traditional polish: getting it to dry before I get a finger print or dog hair in it, chipping in 24 to 48 hours, and the feeling my nails can't breath. Sensationails has dealt with all three. Bonus, not stinky. My nails tend to only last half as long as promised. I get 7 to 10 chip free days with the traditional Sensationails and 3 to 4 with the Express (longer if I use the traditional Sensationails clear base and top coat). Also, when it chips, it's often one nail I've bent back or something understandably fatal to the polish and I can just repaint that 1-2 nails. I do tend to need an extra layer to get the color coverage I want but that's not a big deal. It can be a bit of a production for the traditional Sensationails, but not too bad considering the 30 second dry time. Over all my only real disappointment is not finding more cool colors and that my roommates who work in the service industry seem to only get a few days between paintings. I have sally Gel which they stay months and it sometimes chip in own and never peels. But this brand I used without base and top coat… it peels in 3-4 days and it claims no need base and top coat and it lasted for 2 weeks… this brand is sooo cheap. I tried with base and top coat… it only lasted about 3 weeks but it peels the off all the nails and it make my nails sooo weak, now I'm letting my nail take a break and grow. I'm thinking to throw this brand gel polish I bought and their not cheap at all.Soccer92
This nail polish is great! I am getting complements on my nails. I don't have this color but do have a few colors of the sensational express gel. The polish with ordinary base coat would not stick to my nails (I can not wear ordinary polish it peels of in one sheet), but when I used the sensational primer and base/top coat it has been staying on for over a week. I work a lot with my hands and they are in a lot of soapy water each day I think the gel polish would last even longer if not for that. The attached picture is my nails done 11 days prior.Tennytat

Same as the other color I purchased, If I apply generously, I can get away with two coats, but seems to need three coats. If I buff my nails too smooth, it does not spread well. There is nothing about this smell- free gel. First, it is very easy to use just make sure you use either the slip solution or alcohol I go between the two. Second, as long as you don't cure it you can mold away until you get it right. Third, it last me for about 2 weeks or more without any chips. I transitioned from acrylic about 2 years ago and find that this gel is my favorite. I usually shape or fill 2-3 nails at a time as the product will move with gravity. I’ve used much more viscous gels and had to go back and shape some that had shifted while shaping other nails. It’s really hard when cured and there is NO SMELL!!
