I got the pink tinted nail strengthener and at first really liked it. I decided to wear it on its own, and that was a mistake. In less than a day the polish would chip and flake off. It has absolutely not durability. I’ve removed it, tried prepping my nails, and reapplied it but still had the same problem. I wonder if this would be better under another nail polish, which is why I’m giving it three stars instead of two. I assume those who give this product 5 stars are wearing this underneath another polish and maybe that’s why it works for them. I was pleasantly surprised with how well this product works. I couldn’t believe the amount of growth my nails had made within just 3 days…not to mention they strengthened up a lot. My nails have been a little more brittle lately and this has helped tremendously! Plus, you get the added benefits of a smooth, shiny, pink-tinted nail while they are becoming stronger. It says to take the stuff off after 3 days but you can leave it with no consequences. You can instantly feel the protection added and see a pretty shine. I don’t know that I’d say you can instantly feel them becoming stronger, but you can definitely tell it’s doing it’s job and will be more resistant to stuff within the 3-day period. In the bottle this has a purple tint which is not noticeable once applied, it goes on completely clear. Instructions say to apply two layers and that's it. The product is a lot thinner than regular nail polish, so you need to make sure you are not picking up too much product! If you do accidentally apply too much it runs quick since it is so thin, and you need to remove it with the brush o make sure it does not spill over onto your skin. I received this product complimentary for testing purposes. I’m really picky when it comes to mascara just because of my small short Asian lash hair. It was about $10 a bottle at CVS, so it’s comparable to Essie and OPI. I have to say, I really love this polish! I’ve had it on for 5 days now and it’s only starting to chip a little at my tips! It took 3 layers to apply a smooth and finished look. I will say it dried fast and I was rather surprised by that for liquid or polish. I however was not a fan of this color. It really just didn’t look good with my skin tone. Maybe in the summer when I’m tan? But it’s a no for me right now. The actual polish itself held up as to be expected for any nail polish. 2-3 days before I had noticeable chipping. I received the shades 345 Smokey Quartz and 410 Black Stone which are beautiful colors. The purple is light but has a grayish tint to it and shines really pretty and the black is a deep black and gives off a beautiful shine. The polish itself gives off a great color and smooth look but with one coat is just too thin, I did at least two coats to create a good layer and look. This polish is a very runny formula in my opinion so took some patience not to make a mess with it and drying time isn’t too long but the the turn out is pretty good and last a good few days before it starts to chip off. I was given this polish to restore my nails after having a gel manicure for years. I stopped for covid19, as I couldn’t justify the salon trips with a high health risk person in my household. I absolutely love OPI polishes especially the brush they come with. But I have to say it, this product IS TERRIBLE! I rarely write negative reviews, but this one gets an exception. It never fully sets, so it smudges and I wake up with sheet marks. I have given this topcoat 5 different tries, thinking it must've been user error. The last time I tried it was an experiment to make sure it's the topcoat and not my polish. One hand was painted with 3 coats of polish with no topcoat, the other hand was 2 coats polish, one very thin coat of topcoat. Both sides used the OPI drying drops, then I sat still without touching anything for 4 hours before bed. I woke up the next morning to find the no topcoat side perfect, the topcoat side was smudged on every finger. It's unequivocally this topcoat. I'm disappointed and surprised that OPI would make and distribute such a sub-par product. Probably going to switch to a gel topcoat from here.aleksandra.s

I have used Nailtiques Formula 2 for many years. It absolutely improves the strength and look of my nails. The trick is to use it consistently and follow the directions to apply one coat daily. I make one to three applications a week to maintain the results and make sure I always have this on my nails. I don't wear color polish often but Nailtiques works great as a first coat with color polish as the second. If you are just starting out with Nailtiques I would suggest not using colored polish for the first few weeks and just use Nailtiques to give your nails a good start. The first coat gives your nails a nice shine, the second coat the next day hides any nail ridges and gives a thick glossy salon look.les7424

i have nails that wouldn't grow and when they finally start to grow breaks so easy. But i put my every word on this product. I have used about every nail strengtheners and growth on the market. But this one is everything in one it grows your nails on 3 days they are strong and all stay the same size. i really LOVE this product and recommends it to anyone that has trouble growing your real nails out. These are my real nails. I used to wear fake nails and my nails were so Damaged, I needed a change. My nails are strong, long, and better than ever. 10/10 would recommend using this. I currently have the following Nail-Aid products: Biotin Ultimate Strength, 10 Quick Salon Nail Hacks, 1 Minute Artificials, and Iron Shiel Top Coat. I have used all of them on my nails, most recently I used all of them as my manicure.
These products are inexpensive, and you can find them at Walmart and Amazon (amongst others). These products make your nails very strong, and protect them successfully from breaking. I have not had any breakage since I started using them. Previously I used a different nail hardener, but had breakage with that one.
I highly recommend this product to everyone, but especially those who have weaker nails and breakage. Try these out. You will be pleasantly surprised at the strength of your nails, even after just one use.Kim Sanchez

As soon as pandemic hit, my nail salon closed. I let cut down my acrylics and eventually soaked them in Acetone and removed them. My nails were weak, thin, brittle and have horizontal lines and cracks. I bought Rocket Fuel in Hope's that it would help my nails. They were already grown out from the acrylic damage but were just weak, brittle and had these ridges, causing me to have to keep them very short. Used Rocket Nail Fuel for the recommended 8 weeks. No changes in my nails…still weak, brittle and ridged. Besides that about 3/4s through the bottle, the polish became very thick and hard to apply. Also, by the time I was at my third coat my nails had a blue tinge which just looked weird. I wrote customer service and was told that there was no blue tinge…"Hello, am I seeing things?" And that to remedy the thickness of the polish, I should add a few drops of Acetone. Really? I thought the whole concept behind Rocket Fuel was that it had natural, healthy ingredients. Now you want me to put Acetone into the product to thin it out? All in all, if I could give it zero stars I would. I did get a refund though, so that is the upswing. I did go to my dermatologist and he looked at my nails and the remainder of what was in the bottle of Rocket Fuel and said, it seemed I paid over $20 for a product that I could buy at the drugstore for under $5 and that by the smell of the product it smells just like any other nail polish out there and I would do best to go back to using my good old standby odor Black Jamaiican Castor Oil which amazingly cured the fungus under my toenails and does help moisturize my fingernails…and costs a fraction of what Beaute Garde's Rocket Fuel (Can you say $1 at the Dollar Tree?). Dont fall for these high price gimmicky beauty products, when there are natural things out there that cost next to nothing and do much more.
I was extremely excited when I saw the FB ad in regards to strong nails not breaking. I have very thin, peeling nails and the sides of my thumb's split so I thought this would answer my prayers. I have put three coats on over a week and a half and I had FOUR nails break on me! The cost at $23 and the product not working is totally RIDICULOUS!! My nails were all the same length and they were long and I was so looking forward to this product working and I am extremely disappointed! It made my nails extremely hard but when they started breaking over simply opening the car door that is absolutely ridiculous! I am not using my nails as tools to open packages and I'm very careful because I have thin nails. But when you're opening your car door and your nail breaks it's just ludicrous! This product does not do what it says it does! I had to cut my nails down all the way because of the FOUR breaks I had two on each hand!! I would definitely not recommend this product to anybody and unfortunately I did to a friend and she bought it but she is in Costa Rica right now and I have no communication with her right now but when she gets back I really want to know how she made out! I had to give this one star because I cannot give it a zero star and give a review but it kills me to give one star!! I will tell everyone I know not to use this product and I have a big mouth and I am on a lot of nail groups on FB and IG so people will hear the truth on a totally incompetent product!! I am getting close to 60 and bit my nails when I was a child and in my adult years. So, when I quit biting my nails, they wouldn't grow. I tried so hard to grow nails. They would break, weak, peeling. I tried two brands that guaranteed good results and that product ended up making my nails worse, they were like rice paper. If one breaks, it does not damage the whole nail, it's a clean break and the nail is still just as strong. I received Essie Smooth-E basecoat as a #freeproduct to try for my honest review from #topboxcircle #trytopbox. I had never heard of this basecoat so I was intrigued as it stated it was a ridge filler and would give my nails a smooth finish to apply polish. I use a lot of dark colours especially blue that has a tendency to stain my nails. I did find that with the initial application it gave my nails a matte finish with an almost grippy feel and then I applied my Essie polish in a nice deep blue. It did dry quickly before I applied the polish. I have had the blue nail polish on for a few days and did find my nails chipped almost the next day so that was a little disappointing. I absolutely love the entire Essie line, they always have high quality products. It’s my go to for my mani/pedis. The only issues I’ve come across is that my nail polish never lasted a week. It would constantly chip off, but since trying out this base coat that Essie brilliantly thought of, I no longer have that issue. Initially I was a bit skeptical about this product claiming to smooth the ridges in my nails. I recently had acrylic nails taken off and the removal process wrecked havoc on my nails. The surface of my nails were uneven and they were peeling. When I applied the base coat, I noticed that it filled in the weak spots in my nails. When I applied the nail polish on top, my nails felt so smooth. You would not be able to tell that my nails were damaged. Using it for about a week now and so far am very pleased. Can see a noticeable improvement in my nails, even right after the first application – nail surface is smoother and color more even. Overall, nails look healthier and they do feel a bit stronger. Time will tell if it helps me gain length, but I can already see improvement in a couple of damaged nails that tend to repeatedly split in certain places, so that makes me very happy. When I was seven or so years old, I slammed my right thumbnail in a car door. My nail was allowed to heal on its own– which was not great. The nail has a big bump or two, right in the center of the nailbed and has always caught on fabric or provided an irresistible object to mess with or (better word) aggravate. In my later years, I began to try nail stickers, filing and super glue. The stickers and glue, only made the nail more snaggy and the filing made it thinner — no good results. Then … I stumble upon this product after browsing a scientific article about how the combination of the two main ingredients, showed much promise. After two weeks of applying it about 3 times a day, my thumbnail is nearly unrecognizable. I'm guessing these ingredients have moisturized the nail and bed. I'm not sure about why it feels so much smoother, but I am thrilled with the results. It took me weeks to finally get it in the mail, but I really like this product. My nails are badly damaged from gels and acrylics. The pink color is ok but would not be my choice. It does let me see where it has worn off on the edges more easily though. My nails are easily broken and thin to begin with, so damaged they are very fragile. This is good for growing them out, and having some color helps hide the damage. I would like a shimmery nude color better, but that is personal preference.Merry B.
This is the Orly Nailtrition treatment polish and it retails for $15 at Ulta. This is suppose to be a nail strengthener for peeling and splitting nails. The formula is thick, shiny, and pink. I was hoping for something more clear. Not a deal breaker. It makes the nails appear bright and shiny. I recently wanted to take a break from getting my nails done and had the acrylic removed. My nails were peeling and thin underneath. I thought I would give this product a try and after a month, I’m really not impressed. It did not make my nails any stronger, nor did it help them grow. I really did not have any expectations of this product when I first started using it but figured it was worth a shot. I had acrylics for over a decade and then had to stop during the pandemic. My natural nails were so damaged, brittle and peeling, I had given up the idea of having nice nails again. I thought the Nailtrition at best would bind the peeling nails and prevent them from splitting but my nails are growing so well and (knock on wood) haven’t broken or split since I’ve started using this. I follow the instructions and put it on daily. It dries fairly quickly and the color is very faint and neutral. They are also made of thick glass and I have dropped them on numerous occasions and no catastrophe of nail polish on my floors. Could you imagine? I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this nail hardener. It keeps my nails super protected – they're prone to break and they haven't broken since I started using it. It adds a shine that makes my nails look like gel nails, which I love because gel manicures just destroy my nails. However, the shine is not very long lasting but I usually apply a coat whenever my polish is looking dull and it dries in 1 minute, which is so much more time-conscious than going to a salon to get a high-shine finish or just redoing my nails entirely. It also keeps the polish from chipping, and it's not one of those hardeners that cracks after 2 or 3 days. I seriously love this product. I do like the way this looks on my nails. It looks thicker on the nail than other top coats. However, you have to be like Goldilocks with application and use an amount that’s just right. If you use too much- your nails will never dry! Or you’ll think they are dry and then end up with a “dent” in one of them the next day. You must follow the instructions! I thought I knew how to paint my nails, already… but this is a bit different. I gave it 3 stars because of the price. You pay a lot of money for such a tiny bottle. Before the COVID situation I would get a gel manicure every two weeks. And now, I do not see myself going back to the nail salon. This mega formula lasts! My nails stay unchipped for 6 days straight! And when they started chipping it was only at the very tip of the nail! I typically only ever need two coats and I dont use a clear top coat. The colors are so pretty! The brush is super skinny I was worried at first, but it's super good, coverge and application is easy! I take off with regular acetone and comes right off – not sure about the glitter ones because I dont have any glitter colors yet, but I imagine it would take a little more effort to remove as with all glitter polishes. Not sure why people buy the $10+ nail polishes like Essie and OPI, when you can get two of these instead!! I would get all the colors if i could! Don't hesitate, get this polish!rissy808
I would definitely recommend this nail product if you also struggle with brittle nails prone to breakage. I use the clear as a base coat (although I wouldn’t wear it alone because it can look a little yellow, which seems to be common with clear coats, but figured I would mention it) and I do notice a difference – almost if my nails feel as if they’ve been more fortified. I would be curious to see if using one of the Mega Strength hardener pigmented shades on top of the clear coat would amplify its effect. I always struggle with painting my own nails in the first place, and I'm always looking for a top coat to make my nails look shiny and smooth like a gel polish but also dries fast. This top coat does just that. Sometimes I even use it alone to give my nails a nice shine. It doesn't stay tacky for very long and covers/smooths out any small imperfections in my base coat of color. The brush is big and wide which allows the whole nail to be covered in two swipes. It makes my nails feel very striong as well. Very nice polish! My only complaint is that the top coat peels off easily, especially around the cuticles. It doesn't take much to get a chip in it which also takes the underneath color off as well. It works well if you're the type to change the color of your nails every week but I like to get as long as possible out of my polishes so it is kind of frustrating. I am on the search for the best nail strengthener after a medical procedure made my nails and hair super brittle. I honestly hate doing my nails at home, but if it’s low maintenance and will help my nails, okay fine. This is the third Sally Hansen strengthener I’ve tried, and I’d say jury is still out on which one ultimately is the best, but the diamond strength is nice! With the exception of my pinky finger, as you can see in my photo, you can barely tell where the ANC ends and my natural nail starts. Which is a huge bonus. I also appreciate that there’s a bit of shine to this, since I’m using it alone, but could also be used as a base coat. This also dried very quickly, which is important as I’m busy and use my hands a lot. No smudges!! As far as strength—well, I haven’t chipped my nails since my application last night, but my nails are quite short. And I try to use my nails gingerly anyway. I wore acrylics for about 3 years straight. Maybe more. I finally had decided it was time to take them off, and man were my nails WEAK!! I decided to try this out. It helped my nails so much! The started growing out healthier and stronger and eventually stopped ripping! I wish I had taken progress pictures! I use it as a base under colored nail polish to give it that extra layer of protection now. And when I want a natural look, it gives my nails a pretty shine!janelle.s
I've have tried Sally Henson's Diamond Strength polish. It is a clear polish that has the typical strong chemical smell. It worked well for about a 3 to 4 days on my nails before I noticed it chipping and peeling. Nevertheless, I did notice a break down in the polish before the end of the 7 days. This could have happened because of improper cleaning of my nails the application. The shine of the nail had a lack of luster after drying as well, it would scuff easily. It was a result of the on the job duties that I performed at the time. But, the shine was easy to scuff. However, I did still notice a break down in the polish before 7 days. This isn't a professional gel polish so it will not have that shine that you might be looking for. And it will not sustain that fresh look for a long period of time but for an non professional, over the counter item it will help support your weak nail for a small period of time. So I rated this item with 3 stars. It's not a stellar product in my opinion but I have definitely had a lot worse. So I gave it an average rating, because of the temporary support it gives to your nail but would but advise that results may vary.rita.w

Holy crap. Do NOT buy this. I know my nail beds need some TLC after all the years of dip powder, but this was not the product to help strengthen them. I could feel the burn transfer from one hand to the other and there was nothing I could do to stop it. My nails have never been sensitive to anything and it didn’t even help “harden” my nails! This polish is from heaven! It WORKS!!! My nails are long, strong and sharp- haven’t broken a nail in over 2.5 months since using it. My nails were weak, peeling and soft before. My personal recommendation is a base coat of I On, clear coat of choice, and a top coat of I On… I get multiple compliments daily and tell everyone about it. So worth it!Amy Godley
When I first got this product, I was very skeptical due to the price point. But, I decided not to knock it before I tried it and it’s the best thing I have done for my nails. The first time I applied it, I did feel a slight burning sensation (like some reviews mentioned) but I was not going to let that stop me from seeing if this product worked or not. I applied the polish just as the instructions suggested and I noticed a difference in 2 weeks. And in my experience, the slight burning sensation did not persist after the first application. Now that I have used this product for more than a month I can say with certainty, this is better than some products that cost twice as much. I love that it is quick drying and has less smell than most other nail hardeners I have used. Thank you to the team at Amen for being us this wonderful and AFFORDABLE product. I love this NAIL TEK #1. Previously I had used #4 to improve my weak nails. It did a tremendous job improving the ridges, splits, lumps & bumps in my nails, that I moved on to #1. My nails have been so strong since I started using this regularly. I change my manicure about once a week and I apply the Nail Tek Moisturizing Strengthener underneath every other manicure because too much protein can cause nails to harden and therefore snap off when hitting something instead of bending like a healthy nail does.sandra.l

The whites of my nail tips started growing back within 48 hours! I’ve slaughtered my nails after using press-on nails with nail glue and salon gel manicures, but it was a stupid habit to get into because I have lovely, long, strong, and white-tipped nails naturally.
