I received this hand cream as a sample with my order. I absolutely love hand creams and I’m always looking to try different ones. I do plan to order this hand cream in a larger size because I like it. The consistency is very nice without a greasy feel and my nails and cuticles have looked healthier since using it. I will say though, that the smell is not that great to me. It does have, and no offense to anyone, what I would think of as an “old lady” smell. I've been a big advocate of your products for a very long time, in particular for the hand cream as I suffer with dermititis and eczema it really helps. There has never been an issue until the new design for the lid was introduced. When starting new there is no issue, a fine line of cream is dispensed upon squeezing but after a couple of days the consistency is very unreliable. Sometimes you will get a clean fine line and other times a very thick gunk of cream. I have been regularly cleaning the hole the cream comes from and this helps a little but nothing fully. I'm sure you can appreciate that, for me, your products are high ticket items and to waste so much cream from each tube is not financially viable for me. I am actually astonished I am the first person to rate this product because this cleanser is so amazing. Perhaps its an age thing maybe Ulta appeals to a younger crowd that hasnt had to get SERIOUS about their skincare quite yet but when you are honey let me introduce you to Elemis. Elemis is a brand brought over from the UK. I tried it out as it was offered at a great deal through an online shopping site and so glad I do. I am 40 years old with very dry skin. No really obvious wrinkles yet or even texture issues yet somehow Elemis finds ways to improve my skin. Of course I am using a regime of Elemis now with this cleanser, a day and night cream so lets just discuss this cleansing balm though everything is amazing and I havent heard any different from anyone who has tried it. The balm has a very herbal type of natural spa smell if you enjoy the Aveda experience and scents, youll like the cleansing balm scent as well. Its somewhere between a solid and a liquid in the jar but instantly starts to melt the moment you dip up a very small amount just enough to cover your index finger and massage it into your face. The addition of a little warm water gives it a frothy cleansing feeling and then you simply wipe it away. My typically dry skin feels extremly hydrated and soft after cleansing with this balm and it washes away every trace of makeup. My only complaint is that they do not recommend using it on the eyes, so that necessitates a separate step I wish wasnt necessary. Ive heard some people do use this to remove eye makeup and it works, but I am guessing their warning has to do with some of the botanicals perhaps not being safe to mistakenly be rubbed into the eyes mucous membrane. It does have quite the herbal punch and would probably sting if it did get rubbed into the eye. However it is a small price to pay for the results. I bought these a little while ago as a makeup remover. This is more likely a winter skincare , a little too emollient for summer. I apply an almond sized amount on dry skin, the balm will turn into light oil texture , it takes off all makeup except for eye makeup I use a Japanese brand kiss me mascara which is quite waterproof. The mascara I use comes out best only with a biphase eye makeup remover, using the Elemis balm takes a little too long and the product isnt really suitable for too much massage on eye area if you use a waterproof mascara or eyeliner for example.Also the face cloth removal is recommended , if you simply rinse off with warm water in the shower, it works on the whole face but not so well for the eye area, feels a bit oily and slight discomfort and doesnt remove all my mascara.In a way its lighter than most cleansing oil eg Ive tried Shu Uemura and Fancl and other Japanese drugstore variety of cleansing oil, the consistency of Elemis balm is thinner after applying on face compared to all cleansing oils above.You dont need to follow with a face cleanser after this , but I do out of personal preference.3.5 stars feels therapeutic, smells nice note in summer there tends to be a oil layer floating on top. The tub can last a few months. Would be nice if they include two clothes for rotation. Yet to open my eve lom cleanser but at this rate unfortunately I dont think elemis is worth repurchasing at the current price point. If you like cleansing balms theres ones from eve lom, darphin and Shu Uemura to try.Im 35 with fair, combination skin blackheads and pigmentation are primary concerns, occasional dry cheeks.This product is rather neutral on skin condition doesnt make me oilier or dryer or reduce or increase blackheads.Anonymous
Meh. I guess Im not part of the majority with this product. Im actually kind of shocked that it is currently in the 10 spot for skin cleansers. I found this balm to be a little too balmy and less of a melty, oil type cleanser that has a bit of slip to help remove makeup. Instead, the texture remain pretty thick, almost waxy, upon application. Upon rinsing, there was a thick residue feeling on my skin, like beyond just feeling soft but like an actual film. Even when I double cleansed after with that I know to be effective at removing makeup and making my skin feel very clean, there was still a slight residue it weird feeling to my skin. Also, it broke me out like crazy around my jaw. Like so bad and I know its from this balm since its the only product Ive changed in my routine. Smells incredible though like being at the spa. I think if I had incredibly dry, parched skin and really needed a hydration boost, andor wasnt so acne prone, this may be a great option. Im unfortunately not a fan, which is too bad because Ive heard from so many how wonderful of a brand brandelemis is. Love how my hand absorbs this without making my hands feel sticky. Not only is the price affordable but it also works well for me. Especially when i hve sweaty palms..it is often hard to find hand creams that not only helps but also not leave a sticky after feeling. My grandma actually gifted a tube of this to me as she knew how bad my hands get, and I will be forever thankful for that! When I first used this cream I could tell immediately it was of a very high quality, it just feels incredibly smooth, sinks in instantly and leaves hands feeling great smooth and moisturised and not at all greasy. It calms my hands down when they are feeling itchy and irritated.So what is in it cupuacu butter which is from a rainforest tree related to cacao. The national fruit of Brazil, it restores elasticity, provides intense hydration and is good for sunburned, ageing or dry skin. There is also white tea which is antioxidant rich, and ProSina a hydrolysed keratin which moisturises the skin and strengthens the nails.I can also spot shea butter, avocado oil and daisy flower extract in the list of ingredients.Because of the price I would resent having to wash my hands any time after applying, I would choose to wear at night or on a long flight and pay special attention to my cuticles.The scent is hard to define, slightly grassywoody.If you buy more it is cheaper, if you chose to splash out 36 you would at current prices pay 15.25 per 100ml as opposed to the 50ml tube which works out at 24 per 100ml.The packaging is good, the tube comes in an attractive box like all OPI products this is good quality.Anonymous

This hand cream has been a savior to my sensitive, dry, cranky hands. I have mast cell issues so I get various rashes on my hands, especially in the winter. Sometimes these rashes are accompanied by tiny blisters that just get worse with the use of hand creams. I didn’t want to use prescription steroid creams so I kept searching for a better hand cream. Finally I turned to the hand creams at the Body Shop. After going through 2 or 3 other ones I finally tried the almond hand cream and it was love at first use. It didn’t irritate the rashes and blisters on my hands and it even seemed to help them while soothing my dry, peeling, and flaking skin. With continued use my hands healed and I’ve continued to use it ever since. It sinks in quickly and leaves almost no residue. It’s on the lighter side so I do need to apply it several times a day when my hands are extra dry but it’s worth it since it works and doesn’t burn my hands. It’s expensive but I always buy it when there’s a sale and stock up. Can’t go wrong with this cream.ali.c
The Body Shop Almond Hand Nail manicure cream worked miracle for my hands. It actually worked in moisturizing and hydrating them. It also healed my hands and nails with continuous usage when used overnight. And the effect was long lasting and not temporary like most of the other handcreams. I've been using this cream for several years. I've always been disappointed that it doesn't smell like almonds. And I do not like perfume scents, which this has, but it used to be milder & more tolerable. I think they increased it, and I'm really unhappy. With allergies, perfumes make my nose itch, eyes burn, sinuses irritated, and often cause a headache. I'm frustrated that I cannot find an unscented product here. I use the hemp lotion at night, which isn't perfumed but has an odd smell. At least it's not strong or irritating. But in the winter when my nails are weak, I prefer this one during the day, which has a nicer (less greasy) feel to it and leaves my hands soft even after washing. I can't say I noticed if it helped my nails any. I'd use it all year long if it didn't have this awful scent. Instead I buy unscented lotion. Unbelievable product for two reasons:(1) Healthy eponychium (often mistakenly referred to as the cuticle – the ridge of skin around your nails.) Mine were ragged, and horribly over-grown. I didn't want to keep cutting them because it apparently just keeps them growing more and more. Mine were so unsightly I was embarrassed to ever have my hands show. I had a manicure in March and the technician was very kind, but dismayed at how much skin there was to trim. There was a huge pile of it! I don't have the time or money for regular trips to the salon to have them trimmed and trimming them was exacerbating the problem (from what I later learned.) I did a lot of research online on what to do. Several sources recommended CND Solar Oil used several times a day. I've been using it 7-14 times a week for three months and my hands don't even look like mine. The overgrown "hedges" around my nails have totally disappeared as has and peeling skin or hangnails. I had a manicure recently and there wasn't even anything for them to trim! I hardly recognize them! For this reason alone I would give it as many stars as possible I love showing off my hands!!(2) Nail strength. I didn't realize when I bought this that it would help strengthen my nails. I was totally surprised and could not be more thrilled. I've always kept my nails quite short because I am a no nonsense person and could not take the upkeep. Maybe once a year I'd splurge and get a gel manicure and grow them out a bit, but gel was the only way to get any length. My nails almost feel like toenails now. They just grow and don't break! I've started wearing nail polish for really the first time in my life and people think that I have gel!I have one bottle at work and one on my nightstand. They are vegan, and made with no animal ingredients, and not tested on animals, and is safe for the environment! The Rose De Vigne, of course has a light rose scent. I love caudalie and was surprised that I found this product to my extreme disliking. I do not recommend this product because it first of all has a strong, suffocating smell, in my experience (like an overwhelming perfume). And, it created a burning sensation on my hands. I wash my hands often and have sensitive skin. This product managed to thoroughly irritate those conditions. I'd assume that many folks wanting a hand cream have some sort of dryness. So, I just wished they created something that would be without such strong scent or whatever it was that led to irritation. I purchased several as gifts and returned what I could when I tried my own supply. Unfortunately, I had shipped a care package to one of pregnant friends; this product was included. I was excited when I ordered this at first bec there's a lot of positive reviews. I'm glad I received it in good packaging (although it's not sealed). I immediately used and immediately observed that even after washing my hands, my nails and cuticles still looked oiled (not in an awful way) and moisturized. I was immediately impressed. I just did not like the scent… it is very strong and felt like I cannot use this product anytime outside my home bec the smell is heavy. Amazing!!! The fist oil/strengthener I used that actually made my nails grow!!! (I tried like 5, not a dozen though) My nails were so weak they used to split, and barely grew if at all. No I actually have nails!!! Stronger and more smooth looking. Hope they will grow to be longer, will update. Also, not sure but I think they are more white looking (the tips) than they used to be. The scent is quite strong at first, tea tree smell. After the first few minutes it subsides but still noticeable scent coming from my nails. This hand cream has been a savior to my sensitive, dry, cranky hands. I have mast cell issues so I get various rashes on my hands, especially in the winter. Sometimes these rashes are accompanied by tiny blisters that just get worse with the use of hand creams. I didn’t want to use prescription steroid creams so I kept searching for a better hand cream. Finally I turned to the hand creams at the Body Shop. After going through 2 or 3 other ones I finally tried the almond hand cream and it was love at first use. It didn’t irritate the rashes and blisters on my hands and it even seemed to help them while soothing my dry, peeling, and flaking skin. With continued use my hands healed and I’ve continued to use it ever since. It sinks in quickly and leaves almost no residue. It’s on the lighter side so I do need to apply it several times a day when my hands are extra dry but it’s worth it since it works and doesn’t burn my hands. It’s expensive but I always buy it when there’s a sale and stock up. Can’t go wrong with this cream.ali.c
The Body Shop Almond Hand Nail manicure cream worked miracle for my hands. It actually worked in moisturizing and hydrating them. It also healed my hands and nails with continuous usage when used overnight. And the effect was long lasting and not temporary like most of the other handcreams. I find the scent not very string which is perfect to be used while sleeping as well. I have finished and repurchased it twice already. I've been using this cream for several years. I've always been disappointed that it doesn't smell like almonds. And I do not like perfume scents, which this has, but it used to be milder & more tolerable. I think they increased it, and I'm really unhappy. With allergies, perfumes make my nose itch, eyes burn, sinuses irritated, and often cause a headache. I'm frustrated that I cannot find an unscented product here. I use the hemp lotion at night, which isn't perfumed but has an odd smell. At least it's not strong or irritating. But in the winter when my nails are weak, I prefer this one during the day, which has a nicer (less greasy) feel to it and leaves my hands soft even after washing. I can't say I noticed if it helped my nails any. I'd use it all year long if it didn't have this awful scent. Instead I buy unscented lotion. Now that this one smells stronger to me, I'm rethinking it altogether 🙁 Please make it unscented or almond scent.KathyM

This is an incredible product. I am not a high maintenance gal and have not painted my fingernails regularly since high school – but this is so easy with no need for base or topcoat and it makes my nails stronger and lasts and lasts. A much more refined look than my usual au-naturel – and it couldn't be easier. I did just one coat a few days ago – took 30 seconds – and it dried quickly and stayed nice for days even though I was in a pool for hours a day later. Pretty impressed! I am inspired to take better care of my nails now that it's so easy.
Do not buy!! This product is awful. It stained my nails yellow and I haven't been able to fix them. I guess they just have to grow out. Don't ruin your nails with this product. Manufacturer only offered me 25% off another product. Why would I do that?!?! I would give it less than a star if I could!!Antoinette Blair
I was surprised how much I like this product. I'm often disappointed with polishes (apparently I'm the only person in the world that thinks essie applies too thinly), but I LOVE this product. It goes on well, looks great with a single coat (no lines of uneven distribution like most sheer colors),, and it's great for the nails. I was hoping to like this enough to use it every so often in between colors, but I've used it almost exclusively since it arrived. Such a great product!
