20 Best Nail Oils (2024 Update)

I bought this at a L'Occitane store near me upon recommendation by a staffer. It was January. Now in April, my thumbnails have dramatically improved, and I notice less breakage and splitting. I have the WORST cuticles. They're dry, they peel, they get hangnails, and I pick at them when I'm stressed/anxious. They've been an ongoing issue for years. I've tried quite a few products, and this one is a miracle worker. I noticed a difference straight away, and after a week of use, have to say that this is gonna become a permanent addition of my manicure kit. The ONLY thing I'd caution against is the smell. But I figured based on the reviews and often-out-of-stock nature of this item, I’d give it a shot. So glad I did. My cuticles have been a nightmare for years: dry, peeling, prone to hangnails, etc., but this helps a lot due to its Shea content and what I would bet is a patented applicator (pictured with my review). My fingers look healthy and younger. I can’t wait to get another one to carry in my work bag or purse. It’s emollient but not oily, and the fragrance dissipates after not too long. Yes it’s expensive but its really worth every penny. Right after putting it on you instantly feel relief and about a week or so after putting it on daily your nail looks and feels so much healthier!! I used this on my boyfriend and you know how guys’ nails are… but this really changed the game even for him!! It also works just as good on toes :)) I highly recommend and it’s long lasting. Unbelievable product for two reasons:(1) Healthy eponychium (often mistakenly referred to as the cuticle – the ridge of skin around your nails.) Mine were ragged, and horribly over-grown. I didn't want to keep cutting them because it apparently just keeps them growing more and more. Mine were so unsightly I was embarrassed to ever have my hands show. I had a manicure in March and the technician was very kind, but dismayed at how much skin there was to trim. There was a huge pile of it! I don't have the time or money for regular trips to the salon to have them trimmed and trimming them was exacerbating the problem (from what I later learned.) I did a lot of research online on what to do. Several sources recommended CND Solar Oil used several times a day. I've been using it 7-14 times a week for three months and my hands don't even look like mine. The overgrown "hedges" around my nails have totally disappeared as has and peeling skin or hangnails. I had a manicure recently and there wasn't even anything for them to trim! I hardly recognize them! For this reason alone I would give it as many stars as possible I love showing off my hands!!(2) Nail strength. I didn't realize when I bought this that it would help strengthen my nails. I was totally surprised and could not be more thrilled. I've always kept my nails quite short because I am a no nonsense person and could not take the upkeep. Maybe once a year I'd splurge and get a gel manicure and grow them out a bit, but gel was the only way to get any length. My nails almost feel like toenails now. They just grow and don't break! I've started wearing nail polish for really the first time in my life and people think that I have gel!I have one bottle at work and one on my nightstand. I use it every morning at work and every night before bed. This will be a lifelong staple – I LOVE IT!dani.s

I really like this. You can get this in a pen or a dropper. Cuticle oils in glass polish bottles make this klutz nervous! This is thick and 1 drop does all 10 nails. I tend to lose the pens so I stick to the plastic dropper. It's a jojoba based oil blend; it contains tea tree oil. They also offer a fragrance-free option. The price tag maybe too steep for some. A bottle lasts me 18 months.angelina.r

This is such a great little cuticle oil, and I love the pen applicator because I can take it and use it pretty much anywhere. This oil has been so helpful in my quest for long, healthy nails, and it even helped me to stop biting at my cuticles (not because the oil is smelly or bad tasting, but because my cuticles are so healthy now that I don’t have any hang nails or snags along my cuticles to bite at anymore). My favorite times to use this oil are after taking off nail polish, since removers can be so harsh and drying, and right after a shower after pushing back my cuticles. I don't always use rubber gloves as often as I should. My nails and cuticles grow pretty fast and they can get a little on the dry side but Supernail Cuticle Oil comes to the rescue every time. I use it at least twice a day and always at bedtime and the biggie for me is that no longer have to deal with hangnails. It's an excellent product and you can't beat the price.Corrine

I was excited when I ordered this at first bec there's a lot of positive reviews. I'm glad I received it in good packaging (although it's not sealed). I immediately used and immediately observed that even after washing my hands, my nails and cuticles still looked oiled (not in an awful way) and moisturized. I was immediately impressed. I just did not like the scent… it is very strong and felt like I cannot use this product anytime outside my home bec the smell is heavy. Amazing!!! The fist oil/strengthener I used that actually made my nails grow!!! (I tried like 5, not a dozen though) My nails were so weak they used to split, and barely grew if at all. No I actually have nails!!! Stronger and more smooth looking. Hope they will grow to be longer, will update. Also, not sure but I think they are more white looking (the tips) than they used to be. The scent is quite strong at first, tea tree smell. After the first few minutes it subsides but still noticeable scent coming from my nails. I am not fond of it, but it is a cross I will happily bear to have pretty nails 😉 Also at least its natural scent. P.S- If the brush feels hard, just separate the hairs of the brush.iHerb Customer

This item is fantastic! My nails have always been thin and weak, and they have only recently begun to peel. Over the years, I tried a variety of products with no luck. This stuff is effective! It's fantastic! Simply follow the instructions. All you have to do now is rub it into your nails. It isn't a mess. For me, it was absolutely a big thing.nataly .r

I do NOT use this product per the instructions as I found it caused to much dryness when used daily. Once I learned to not overuse, I have significant benefit from using once a week. My process is brush oil directly on nails, allow oil to sit on the nails for a minute, then massage into the nails. Since I do this in the evening, it allows the product to further penetrate overnight. The next morning, I apply solar oil and allow that to penetrate. I do apply my favorite nail strengthener every four days and use solar oil daily. Its a regimen that has given me strong natural nails.WhoCaresWhoIAm

I like this nail oil. The little bottle goes a long way. I decided to stop polishing my nails during the pandemic and was distressed at how dry my nails and cuticles were. I keep this bottle handy and brush on the nail oil every evening. I let is soak in and gently push my cuticles back. My nails are greatly improved. Treat yourself!Denise

My nails are much stronger, shiny, less prone to breakage and my ridges are less visible! I can actually grow my nails out and they don’t snap nearly as much as they used to! Highly recommend. LOVEE Dashing Diva's new cuticle oil!!!!!! I actually really like the applicator – helped with overuse of oil = less mess/not wasteful! Plus with always washing hands since covid I like that I can wipe the metal tip with alcohol to clean as well versus CND's on the go solar oil….way to go Divas! I applied some oil on my cuticles to help with a more gentle removal of my gloss strips too! SUPER helpful! Totally recommend!Kristina

This is my first time using a cuticle oil with a roller ball application & I love it ! It's so convenient to simply roll it on & go on . One of the best cuticles I have tried. The coconut smell is quite faint but you can smell it if close enough. One of my pet-peeves about cuticle oils is the strong smell. I like the tropical scents that are on trend but long-term wise, those scents are nausea-inducing to me. The great thing about this is that it absorbs well into your skin and cuticles. I don't like the overly greasy feeling that certain oils leave me so this a great oil that absorbs well and quick.celine.v

I love the size of this cuticle oil! First time user and the price point is what had me really interested in it. I bought it at Sally’s beauty supply. I love how long the brush is to actually reach almost the bottom of the bottle. The brush holds enough oil to apply it to all my nails. There really isn’t much of a scent to it and it’s on the thinner side, absorbs quickly. Doesn’t replace my CND Solar Oil though.christina.s

I stumbled upon this product in Sally Beauty and purchased it because I was tired of getting hang nails. Those are painful and your hands don’t look as good as they can when your cuticles are dehydrated. A little goes a long way. It smells AMAZING. The oil truly nourishes my cuticles. I didn't know much about cuticle oil when I first bought this. Just that I heard it's good for the cuticles/nails. Since I love their topcoat I thought I would give this a try. I'm only on my 2nd bottle as a little goes a really long way! I don't think it's bad, I'm just not sure how much it really is helping. I use this once a week before I push my cuticles back. I have a different oil in mind once I'm done with this bottle. I think that's when I will notice a difference.monica.k

I have always had extremely dry cuticles (thanks desert!) and nothing I tried seemed to work or just made my fingers too greasy. This stuff is amazing! I bought this cuticle oil because it has the vest ratings for the lowest price. It comes in a nail polish bottle with a little brush. It contains sweet almond oil, jojoba oil, keratin, and vitamin E. It feels like a relatively light oil and absorbs within a few minutes after you massage it in. It’s not going to repair your cuticles overnight, but it is nice for everyday use.
