Disclaimer: I received this product as part of a "mission" from Topbox Circle. However, the opinions in this review are my own. #freeproduct #trywithtopbox #ad #freesample First impression(s): The colour of the polish was slightly different than the pinkish taupe on the website – the polish was more of a purplish taupe with luxurious pearly tones. The polish had a strong smell. This smell (after painting my nails) would eventually disappear in a couple of days. Experience using it: I painted the nails on both hands, using neither a base nor top coat – two thin coats on my left hand, and two thick coats on my right hand. The bristles of the brush fanned out readily, covering my whole nail (and more, for smaller nails) in one fell swoop. Thinner coats dried fairly quickly, while thick coats took forever (45 mins!) to dry. After drying, my left hand had semi-sheer paint (this made the colour look like the pinkish taupe on the website), while my right hand had opaque paint (purplish taupe). The polish was glossy enough to make me skip putting a top coat. The polish lasted for over a week, but the polish on the sides of my nails chipped away within 3-4 days of applying the polish. That said, this only happened to the nails of fingers I use the most; the polish on my ring fingers and pinkies remained completely intact (I'm still waiting for them to show signs of wear). Even while chipping/wearing away, the polish remained perfectly smooth and pearly on my nails. I received this as a #freeproduct from Top Box to review. I have used this nail polish before and its a great polish to use. It lasts a lot longer than other nail polish brands, so you're not always having to redo your nails. Normally I wouldn't use such a light color, I prefer brighter more bold colors, but this pink was pretty on my finger nails. I do recommend using a primer color under this pink (Gossamer Garments) unless you like the sheerness of light pink. This was a cute color for my toe nails. I did find the brush to be a little big for my nail bed, which would leave a little polish on the side of my toe, but nothing a q-tip and remover can't fix! This formula dries smooth and clear, and lasts. I wash my hands a lot and polish only lasts 2-3 days before I need a touch up, but it's easy to touch up and color blends smoothly. But it wasn't me- it's their first ever angled brush that makes applying with your non-dominant hand a breeze. It also has amazing staying power- one coat lasted over 10 days. This vegan formula is made without formaldehyde, toluene and a bunch of other chemicals or animal derived ingredients. My only very small complaint is that you need 2-3 coats or you can see through to your nails but since it's quick dry, it's not really a big deal. With my pale, pink-toned skin, finding a yellow that is saturated without leaning too dark, pastel, or neon — AND has a 3-coat (or less) formula — is a real challenge. Plus, its formula is 3 coats maximum for full opacity, which is hard to achieve with yellow polish at any price point. I have been wearing Mod About You since it was first introduced to the OPI line. It is the most gorgeous shade of pink I have ever put on my hands and toes. Every year when spring comes, it's one of the first things I buy (along with my favorite self tanner). It truly makes me happy! My favorite nail polishes! Seriously! I've thrown all away my other nail polishes that went bad within months (*Cough* Essie). This version of Sally Hansen is a long lasting and fast drying that do not chip, in my experience. The flat rectangular brush allows me to better apply the nail polish with little to no mess which is a plus for me! Why? Because I am terrible at painting my nails with the regular brushes. Some colors only need one coat and you're set!! I finish it off with the top coat of Color Thearpy to give it a nice shine. For those wondering, I use Sally Hansen Hard as Nails as a base. I have been using this shade of nail polish (on my toenails) for years, and I hope Sally Hansen never stops making it. In clothing, I wear a lot of black with blues, greens, purples and pinks, but I occasionally wear brown and orange tones. This nail polish looks great with any of these colors. This is my first Target review which I had to write because this nail color is so rich, dries quickly, has a gel-like finish, lasts for days, and best of all: your nails are truly in better shape when you remove it. Prior to reading about the color "rosy quartz" on an obscure blog I always bought high end nail polishes and was skeptical of SH color. But I loved this blogger's nail color and she had a link, so I thought I'd give it a try… and now it is my go-to pink! I recently bought the red, and it is just as lovely. And, it didn't stain my nails like other reds do. I can remove it all with one pad unlike other polishes. The first week I wore the pink (my first color) I was shocked at how nice my nails looked after I removed the polish. Though I'm a former nail biter, and have nice and healthy nails now (thanks to years of vitamins, careful care, and treatments), the nails under this polish after wearing it for a few days are gorgeous and healthy looking in a way they've never been. The fine ridges have disappeared and I no longer have to buff prior to polishing. They have a nice look to them even after I take off the polish, almost like they've been heavily moisturized! And they are so strong I catch myself doing things with them I should like opening cans, etc, with zero breakage. I have been wearing Mod About You since it was first introduced to the OPI line. It is the most gorgeous shade of pink I have ever put on my hands and toes. Every year when spring comes, it's one of the first things I buy (along with my favorite self tanner). It truly makes me happy! It's a beautiful shade that I have never seen duplicated by any other nail polish line. It has a underlying blue-ish base mixed in with the pink and it works so well with my skin tone. The nail polish is nice. applies easily and dries a bit faster than other brands. during the first few hours it'll get scratches or texture until it's 100% set. (it was completely dry when I went to sleep, passed the fingerprint test, but had random scratches the next morning). after it dried it became seemingly indestructible. I work in a warehouse, I use tools and have my hands in machines all day and it didn't chip at all. (I used 3 coats) however i had another shade that chipped and budged just from washing dishes and playing with a one year old. in any other case I'd say its way too expensive to risk getting a shade that has a 50/50 chance of chipping easily, but target has a good return policyM
I used this nail polish for the first time three days ago and I couldn't be happier with the result! For years I have had acrylic nails and have recently stopped because I don't have time to go and get them done with my new baby, so I decided to invest in some new nail polish and boy am I glad I did! I used the JINsoon Power Coat Strengthening Base Coat, followed by 2 coats of the Essie Light Lilac, then the JINsoon Top Gloss Quick Dry Top Coat, and finished off with the Essie Quick-e Drying Drops Nail Polish Treatment and my nail look AMAZING! They actually look like I've got shellac on. And what's even more amazing, they dried SUPER fast! It took me maybe 10-15 minutes to do the application, and then I let dry for maybe 20-30 minutes and they were completely set. I was able to get dinner ready and do the dishes straight away with no denting or smudging! This is a game changer! I'm now on day three and they still look as good as day 1! Essie has great new limited edition fall colors just in time for "swetta weatha" and I'm really feeling them. I have Feelin' Amped, High Voltage Vinyl and Off the Record. My two favorites are Feelin' Amped and High Voltage Vinyl. Feelin' Amped is an intense but unique blue that reminds of a mix between cobalt blue and peacock blue. You only need one coat of polish since the polish covers very well and has a really smooth, shiny finish. This color would also look amazing if you added a mattifying powder to it as well. High Voltage Vinyl is a gorgeous onyx base with gold. I didn't like it very much at first because I was probably still in summer mode, but now that it's fall, this color would go perfectly with a pair of black jeans and a black leather jacket. It's an interesting color since it takes on olive green tint in some lights, but in the sun, you can definitely see the beautiful gold tones. Off the Record is your classic, elegant wine color. It goes well with any outfit and any skin tone…You can't go wrong with a nice merlot color…it's perfect for this season and the next!Lovely1

I initially put a second coat on 45 seconds later and had some clumpiness – user mistake. To me, Unicornicornicopia looks like a shimmery (not glittery or sand-like) lavender color that – with movement and light – looks like a bluish steel (grayish) color. So the polish color takes on differing shades as it maintains shimmer. Using no base coat or top coat, I wore this enamel for four days before chipping started. I imagine that it could be worn longer without chipping if basecoat and topcoat were used. To give even more depth of color, a third coat of Unicornicornicopia is a good idea. At a retail price of $6.49 Revlon Holochrome Nail Enamel is a great value. After taking the polish off, my nails weren't dry, brittle, chipping and didn't break as much when kept polished. Tried the gel nails once, took me months to get my nails re-grown, needless to say, I went right back to a lite shade of the enamel, then back to Serene. Won't make that mistake again. Question is, what shade will work as well as that, have Totally Toffee, but it's a bit darker and I absolutely don't do pinks or weird color. Am a porcelain skinned strawberry blonde with green eyes and reds/pinks look horrible on me. Any color with a gray overtone makes my nails look like they are dead. So, unless I can talk Revlon into bringing back that particular color, anyone have any ideas on shades along that line?Gigi
This review is technically supposed to be for the shade Privileged, but I have so many of these Revlon nail polishes that I would like to talk about all the ones I own. The formulation is pretty consistent across the board. The brush is a good size- not too thick, not too thin, not too sparse. It gives me the control that I need to get a thin and even layer on, as opposed to some cheaper brushes that would result in clumping or taking away product. The only shades I would say are little sheer and need 3 coats for the most impact are 660 Divine and 909 Sheer Petal. Divine doesn't look like it from just looking at the bottle, but once applied on the nails, is a vampy brownish red. Sheer Petal is quite pale and has a delicate kind of beauty, but beware, the sheerness can exaggerate an uneven application. All the other polishes I have look pretty great in 2 coats: 570 Vixen, 450 Hypnotic, 917 Plum Seduction, 215 Daydreamer, 640 Fearless, 715 Privileged, 415 Totally Toffee, 320 Serene, 915 Creme Brulee, 020 Pure Petal, 905 Sophisticated, 410 Dreamer, 590 Trendy, 585 Bohemian, and 495 Sultry. I bought this because the box claims it makes nail polish (at least OPI nail polish) last much longer before chipping ("up to 11 days of gel-like wear and shine", actually). I work with my hands and I feel the act of painting/doing my nails is way too time consuming, so it is very important to me that my nail polish stay put and stay unchipped for as long as possible. I used this kit exactly as directed, applying multiple coats of each bottle, used my OPI brand Infinite Shine Long-Wear nail polish (the recommended nail polish to use with this kit, I used the gorgeous, sexy red shade "An Affair in Red Square"), and let dry completely. My nail polish WAS very shiny and pretty when it was done. However, in one or two days my nails were already chipping. I really hate spending half an hour to an hour (natural drying takes forever) doing my nails only to have them get messed up after one or two days at work. So I just wear my nails completely bare basically all the time. I only use nail polish and do my nails maybe once every few months. So does this nail kit make your nail polish shiny and pretty? I suppose so, even though nail polish is shiny as-is. It does make your polish look more gel-like. Does this nail kit prevent chipping for "up to 11 days"? Well I suppose TECHNICALLY yes, it was "up to" 11 days… But *I wouldn't use or recommend this kit to prevent chipping of nail polish if you work with your hands.* It simply doesn't work well for that. I have yet to find anything that will make any nail polish last longer than a day or two without chipping, while I hold a job in which I constantly use my hands. So if you want gel-like nail polish, I recommend this kit, and you should get that gel-like result with any nail polish you use with it. I've used OPI products since I was a little girl. It's long been a favorite nail care brand of my mother's. She went through many years where she would only wear I'm not really a waitress, I still associate that color with that ideal woman we always wanted to be when we grew up. So, when I was offered to participate in this cashback campaign, even though I had never used any of the infinite shine products, I knew I would love it. It's even better than I thought!!! Alpine Snow is an old favorite color of mine but the blue color: To Be Continued is new to me. TBC is a beautiful light baby blue that is mesmerizing! It would work in literally every season and I do think it would be beautiful on most skin tones. The OPI formula has always been a winner. Incentivized for the Opi infinite shine campaign on #influenster through #Ulta.com . I was glad to find all the shades I was looking for through the Ulta.com app but had a hiccup with customer service I had never encountered before that got me a little ruffled. It was quickly shipped but with excessively poor packing that damaged the chrome paint on the bottles. Which I am fortunate was the only issue cause the way they packed it could easily have broken everything in it. To which I wrote CS and they did not seem to care. So I expect nothing will change. I am not real happy with the downside I have seen shipping and handling customer care from Ulta lately. Onto the actual polish. It’s a lovely shade of light pink with no nude/ brown town to it. Just above ballet slipper. Though it looked a little more watery than I prefer, it did not run at all and I had good control with each layer. I tried a thin on and a thicker one to check coverage. You can get good coverage with one layer done thickly. If that is your preference. Dry time isn’t to long, either. By the time you get through coat one, you may be ready to do coat two. Disclaimer: I received this product as part of a "mission" from Topbox Circle. The polish had a strong smell. This smell (after painting my nails) would eventually disappear in a couple of days. Experience using it: I painted the nails on both hands, using neither a base nor top coat – two thin coats on my left hand, and two thick coats on my right hand. The bristles of the brush fanned out readily, covering my whole nail (and more, for smaller nails) in one fell swoop. Thinner coats dried fairly quickly, while thick coats took forever (45 mins!) to dry. After drying, my left hand had semi-sheer paint (this made the colour look like the pinkish taupe on the website), while my right hand had opaque paint (purplish taupe). The polish was glossy enough to make me skip putting a top coat. The polish lasted for over a week, but the polish on the sides of my nails chipped away within 3-4 days of applying the polish. That said, this only happened to the nails of fingers I use the most; the polish on my ring fingers and pinkies remained completely intact (I'm still waiting for them to show signs of wear). Even while chipping/wearing away, the polish remained perfectly smooth and pearly on my nails. I'm sure that, if I did a better job of applying the polish and used a top coat, the polish would easily last much longer.April

I received this as a #freeproduct from Top Box to review. I have used this nail polish before and its a great polish to use. It lasts a lot longer than other nail polish brands, so you're not always having to redo your nails. Normally I wouldn't use such a light color, I prefer brighter more bold colors, but this pink was pretty on my finger nails. I do recommend using a primer color under this pink (Gossamer Garments) unless you like the sheerness of light pink. This was a cute color for my toe nails. I did find the brush to be a little big for my nail bed, which would leave a little polish on the side of my toe, but nothing a q-tip and remover can't fix! This nail polish dries quicker than most other brands as well! Overall I love Essie Nail Polish and will continue to purchase their line, I would recommend this brand to friends or family!Jennifer

I got this back in June from my local sallys beauty store, to paint my nails before I left for California. Never painted my nails until today. The bottle is not even 3 months old and omg it is horrible. The color is so beautiful but the application was applying like it is was a oldie. Streaks, very splotchy not at all impressed. Even with the double duty polish by sally hansen there is no saving this horrible nail polish. Air bubbles, smears so easily even though I waited 10 minutes to make sure it was dry. I bought this on sale, so I'm happy with the value. It definitely dries faster than most regular polishes, but, of course, it doesn't fully set for about a day or so. There is a bit of an unpleasant odour when applying, but that's minor. My major complaint is that they started chipping the day after I applied. They mostly lasted for like 3-4 days with minor chipping (with the addition of a quick-dry top coat, different brand). Took 3 coats for full coverage, so not great opacity, and very thick on the nail. I am very happy with the price, and love the colour Pink Blink! It's just what I've been looking for, and I will continue to wear it.ash30

This is probably one of my favourite nail polishes. I love the shade of green and the non-goopy application of it. It’s also lasted longer than any of the other expensive polish brands I own (all the ones that promise no chips for two weeks and then they chip next day no matter how careful you are). I’ve gotten a bit less than a week’s wear out of it, but even now it’s only a couple chips on a few fingers, which is to be expected because I’m a mom of young kids, so I am constantly doing something with my hands and washing them. I see other reviewers mentioning how sheer applications are, which is true, but it just means you need a couple extra coats, which honestly isn’t a big deal; I find that most polishes, no matter how much coverage they give you, need additional coats anyways. I bought this last weekend and tried it this week, but the colour was really streaky and thin. I checked the website which says apply two coats and then allow to dry for 5 minutes. Not sure what I could've done wrong because I shook the bottle vigorously and allowed plenty of time between each coat, and it was as if the second coat of step 1 dissolved the first coat, and the brush was scraping back the last coat of colour when I applied the second coat of step 1. My natural nail was showing through the polish after a second coat. After I applied the top gel coat (step 2), it was still tacky the next day! The shine top coat also seemed to dissolve the pigment and drag it around as I brushed the top coat over the nail, so after the Step 2 coat it's left patches in my nails with no colour now. One of my nails weirdly turned out matte after I put the gloss coat on it. I have had much better results from cheap $2 brands but this was over $30 for the set of step 1 and 2 polishes, and it's so fussy and I can't do anything with my hands for hours after applying because it'll ruin the finish. When I use this polish along with the Miracle Gel top coat, I get a solid week out of the nails before I get any chipping. Usually I only have to repaint them when the nails are growing out too much. Dries quickly, so apply quickly and carefully. This is a great middle ground between regular polish and real gel, meaning it is great for home use. You can get thick coverege that hides your ridges without needing to buff your nails if you do 2 color and 1 top coat. I'm in the process of replacing all my existing polishes with Miracle Gel versions.LH

There is a lot that I like about this “It Takes Two” Miracle Gel nail polish and top coat. First, the color! I’m wearing Sugar Fix which is a bright, powdery blue perfect for summer! Second, I like the size and convenience of this tube; perfect to fit in your bag and have a mani-on-the-go! One side has the color and the other a top coat. Thirdly, no base coat needed! Now one thing I think needs improvement: it states to apply two color coats, wait five minutes, then apply the gel top coat. I waited slightly longer but when I applied the top coat, two of my nails smeared because I pressed too hard with the brush. It wasn’t terrible but something to be aware of. I simply re-applied on those areas and it dried fine. I think this needs more time to dry before adding the top coat. Also, you’ll need to hold onto the base of the tube as you’re applying or else it might fall over as you dip the brush in. This isn’t so much a needed improvement but rather the outcome of the sleek tube design. I’ve read a lot of reviews on this product and most of them seem to be color-related. I obviously can only speak to the color I used which went on decent the first coat and fully covered with the second. This does last a few days without heavy chipping. You get minor wear at the tips but I found this to last longer than a typical nail polish. If you follow me, I’d like to first say thank you so much! While I am admittedly by no means an expert on nail polish, I was far beyond satisfied, in fact, I was completely impressed with both the color and the quality of this nail polish. It dries quick, goes on thick and lasts! But, most importantly, the color is awesome. It is totally unique as I have certainly never seen this color before. It is predominantly silver- very shiny silver. What makes this color unique is the shade of pine green mixed in with the dominant metallic sheen. The brighter the light, the more the green shows. So basically it looks ever so slightly different every time you look at it- which to me is super cool! Highly Recommended!
This color is really nice. I LOVE IT! If you like sparkles, use this color with INSTA-DRY 258 SHOOTING STAR on top of it. You can use any color of XTREME WEAR and add Bling. How I applied; one generous coat, let dry. Then add 258 SHOOTING STAR on top; 2 generous coats. When using Sparkles/Bling on top, make sure the coats are very generous, let dry between each application. Also if you miss areas for sparkles, you can reapply the glitter where you want it. Don't worry about imperfections because the glitter will dry as if you applied it with brush smoothly. Using these two colors will give you a ROSE GOLD SPARKLE APPEARANCE. The liquid is clear. Apply more coats depending on how much bling you want. Will last 1 week or more depending on how much you wash your hands or using cleaning products without gloves. It's my current favorite color from this range of products. I only put on a thin layer but it chipped easily so I think I should put a few more layers to make it last longer. These polishes last about 5 full days for me before they start chipping. I can't have gels so I'm happy with this product as it's easy to apply on a weekly basis, like a spa day every week.Karina
Great colors and application! I bought this mostly for the birthday cake polish, which goes on as a very smooth and creamy off white with flecks of colored flakes in two sizes (one is very very small and the larger one is approximately 1mm in diameter). The flakes are a light blue, light orange, pistachio, and yellow. Very fun and cute. No issues with drying time, though I would recommend 2-3 coats to really get the best color and glitter payoff. I have always used [brand:sally-hansen-49] because it is strengthens my nails. Drys quickly and has a beautiful variety of colors to choose from. I especially love the fun color specks in this polish. It definitely makes me happy! I definitely recommend this fast drying nail polish.april.m

My favorite nail polishes! Seriously! I've thrown all away my other nail polishes that went bad within months (*Cough* Essie). This version of Sally Hansen is a long lasting and fast drying that do not chip, in my experience. The flat rectangular brush allows me to better apply the nail polish with little to no mess which is a plus for me! Why? Because I am terrible at painting my nails with the regular brushes. Some colors only need one coat and you're set!! I finish it off with the top coat of Color Thearpy to give it a nice shine. For those wondering, I use Sally Hansen Hard as Nails as a base. I have been using this shade of nail polish (on my toenails) for years, and I hope Sally Hansen never stops making it. In clothing, I wear a lot of black with blues, greens, purples and pinks, but I occasionally wear brown and orange tones. This nail polish looks great with any of these colors. It will take on a pinkish cast with cool colors and somewhat cinnamon cast with warm colors. I am very picky when it comes to overall continuity in color, and this shade goes with everything. This is my first Target review which I had to write because this nail color is so rich, dries quickly, has a gel-like finish, lasts for days, and best of all: your nails are truly in better shape when you remove it. Prior to reading about the color "rosy quartz" on an obscure blog I always bought high end nail polishes and was skeptical of SH color. But I loved this blogger's nail color and she had a link, so I thought I'd give it a try… and now it is my go-to pink! I recently bought the red, and it is just as lovely. And, it didn't stain my nails like other reds do. I can remove it all with one pad unlike other polishes. The first week I wore the pink (my first color) I was shocked at how nice my nails looked after I removed the polish. Though I'm a former nail biter, and have nice and healthy nails now (thanks to years of vitamins, careful care, and treatments), the nails under this polish after wearing it for a few days are gorgeous and healthy looking in a way they've never been. The fine ridges have disappeared and I no longer have to buff prior to polishing. They have a nice look to them even after I take off the polish, almost like they've been heavily moisturized! And they are so strong I catch myself doing things with them I should like opening cans, etc, with zero breakage. This has become my go-to polish, and I hope SH continues to release more colors in this line. If you apply it carefully, it looks as nice as a salon manicure. The bottle is tiny with less polish than standard sizes. The applicator brush is one of the most important features and the Chanel brush is ludicrously inferior. The polish is thin and chips easily. I was looking for a muted, nude kind of shade with a cream finish and I stumbled across Know the Espa-Drille and, let me tell you, it is the best nail polish I have ever had. It dries quite fast, last decently (2 days with my constant hand washing and the fact that I am allergic to acrylate – hence no gels for me). I also have a quite pale complection, but with warm undertones, and I wear a lot of beige tones. This colour matches everything perfectly. Only issue is that I only bought one bottle, and then another one when I finished the first. But I didn't think of stocking up and now it is discontinued and impossible to be found. It would be so nice if this colour could be in the permanent collections :'(Cecilia
