I used good nail prep, a base coat, two coats of pure, and a top coat. I have been adding a top coat daily to try to get longer wear. I am on day 5 without any chips. My tips on my dominant hand are worn off but otherwise it is in great shape. It barely shows. It makes my nails look clean versus having a noticeable color. When I compared my painted and unpainted hand it was definitely noticeable.Me42

This nail polish is good when it's brand new but after having it even for a month or two, the quality is horrible. It's clumpy and impossible to apply smoothly. I don't think it's worth the money if you have to use it all right away. I don't have this same issue with other "17 free" polishes so I don't think it has anything to do with how it's stored. I bought this because I’m pregnant and trying to avoid all of the harmful chemicals I can. This polish is free from the 17 harmful chemicals found in all other types of polish, so I wasn’t expecting it to work very well. However, this might be the best nail polish I’ve ever used! It glides on perfectly, I only needed one coat, it dries fairly quickly and I didn’t notice a single chip until about a week later. I used this nail polish for the first time three days ago and I couldn't be happier with the result! For years I have had acrylic nails and have recently stopped because I don't have time to go and get them done with my new baby, so I decided to invest in some new nail polish and boy am I glad I did! I used the JINsoon Power Coat Strengthening Base Coat, followed by 2 coats of the Essie Light Lilac, then the JINsoon Top Gloss Quick Dry Top Coat, and finished off with the Essie Quick-e Drying Drops Nail Polish Treatment and my nail look AMAZING! They actually look like I've got shellac on. And what's even more amazing, they dried SUPER fast! It took me maybe 10-15 minutes to do the application, and then I let dry for maybe 20-30 minutes and they were completely set. I was able to get dinner ready and do the dishes straight away with no denting or smudging! This is a game changer! I'm now on day three and they still look as good as day 1! When it comes to nail polish, I tend to be quite skeptical especially since gel is a go-to. However, I was pleasantly surprised with this Essie polish due to its color, application and wear. In terms of color, this shade looks great with one coat or multiple depending on the look youre going for. And since it has a nice shimmer to it, it doesnt show imperfections or chips either. I love natural colors, so this one was an A+ for me. Because you can really build up the opacity of this polish, this made applying it really easy with three main swipes across the nail. And due to the shimmer, its really forgiving even if you do make a mistake. The brush was also quite flat and wide, which helped with the application process. (Drying time was quite short especially if you do thin layers). This polish was also great in terms of wear and is still holding up well after a good week of wearing it. Granted I did apply a topcoat, this still held up through housework and doing dishes by hand. In all, Im a big fan of this shade of Essie polish and think it would be perfect year round if not an easy to upkeep color in the summer months on my fingers and toes.AleksandraM

I am obsessed with Essie, that’s all I have bought since 10 years ago. I have tried Tuck it in my Tux and few others and decided Marshmallow has the best hue!!!! I love the color, not too white not pink, just right. The formula however is horrible. The first couple of times after opening the bottle is great except in order not to get streaks you have to apply 3 coats. After a few days of opening the bottle, the formula gets thick and clumpy and not usable!!! Also, the mandatory 3 layers make the nail polish to peel off in a day or two because it’s simply two thick and rubber feel like almost. Please note this is a constructive review for Essie, I am asking you to please change this formula since I love your products. I would love others to enjoy this wonderful nail polish but at this stage I am not able to use this color anymore. I don’t like anything with sparkle or shine and neither one of your colors mimic marshmallows. The open bottles show the clumps on top. Unfortunately my video would not upload. I love this color! I always love a nice deep red nail color and Elderberry was exactly what I was looking for. Ever since I tried this brand about a year ago I have thrown out my cheaper, short lasting drugstore nail polish and replaced them with different colors of Londontown. I can typically get my nail color to last a week on my fingernails whereas my old polishes would usually last 2-3 days before they started chipping badly. I am hard on my nails doing a lot of housework, dishes, washing cars, etc. but this nail polish lasts through it. It also seems to strengthen my nails when I wear it regularly. I received Invisible Crown as a gift along with Cheerio. I'm generally not a sheer polish lover. I also don't usually gravitate towards pale pink tones. I am honestly shocked at how much I love both these colors. Invisible Crown looks especially gorgeous on my nails. It drys like a high gloss gel manicure. It is so elegant and attractive and clean and fresh … I can't stop wearing it. I just keep going back for more! I also did one manicure with a layer of Cheerio and a layer of Invisible Crown just for fun. Love it!!! Invisible Crown makes a great background polish for holiday nails. 😍 just sayin! This company excels at sheers. Creams are a little less reliable. I'm buying the rest of the sheers so I have them all. They're THAT good. This one has more color than teatime. It's a bit more mauve/brown than pink. Same flawless coverage. 100 percent streak free with one coat. Goes on like no other polish I've used. Creamy in application, and color. Don't know how long it lasts, because I so enjoy doing it every other day 😀 Poor lighting but teatime on my middle finger, crowning crumpet on my ring finger. Clear on rest. One coat. Based on the reviews of Rosy Future OPI nail lacquer I was excited and looking forward to receiving my new nail polish. Wow! What a shock it turned out to be. One coat looked good and I should have stopped right there. Thinking it would look even better with two coats I eagerly added a second as it was easy to apply. One coat gave a beautiful sheer iridescent shimmering look. Adding a second coat gave me neon nails that resembled fluorescent lights. I will continue to use the Rosy Future but only one coat. I am disappointed because I think a manicure with two coats of polish lasts longer. But, the look with one coat is acceptable with top coat layers. This polish is not the winner that I expected but at the same time it is not a total loss either. I would recommend the Rosy Future because of its versatility. For those who like a sheer iridescent look it’s a winner. For those who like neon nails it’s also a winner. Enjoy your new nail polish! I absolutely love this top coat. I use it over Color Street Nails, but also for my daughter when she's painting her nails. It extends my manicure to 10 days, at least (I usually get sick of the color first and take it off). Dries very quick and gives a nice shiney coat. I don't usually need to reapply. Gives it a nice gel polish look and I get a ton of compliments all the time. Makes my nails feel much stronger. Definitely recommend. I received this nail polish complimentary from Influenster in exchange for my honest opinion. I read a description of this which called it a "Barbie pink" and was immediately like "ugh great, bright pink!" I'm generally not a fan of pinks, but this one grew on me! I applied two coats of Two Timing the Zones over the OPI Natural Nail Base Coat, finishing it off with the OPI Top Coat. This polish bubbled, even after leaving 40+ minutes between coats, which was annoying! I ended up topping it with Essie's A Cut Above, which made already girly nails *even more* girly, and I actually liked it! This was again topped with another layer of the top coat. The polish chipped on my dominant hand within 3 days. Considering there's three layers on top, with the tips capped, that's pretty annoying! On my non-dominant hand, it chipped within 5. For me, it's not worth the price tag and I want far better longevity regardless of the price tag. It's around £15 in the UK, and I've got £1-2 Kiko polishes that perform better. I may be late to the OPI Mexico City Collection's Spring 2020 release, but at least I finally found that rad yellow creme! With my pale, pink-toned skin, finding a yellow that is saturated without leaning too dark, pastel, or neon — AND has a 3-coat (or less) formula — is a real challenge. I got my hands on this color after stumbling into an Amazon sale (the "Buy at least $20 worth of these selected items, get $5 off" kind? It was the first time I tried it out!) where a few of the OPI Mexico City colors were included. I had heard about this color for a while, and watched nail polish swatchers on YouTube include it in their side-by-side yellow polish comparisons every season, but I could never find it in-stock at a reasonable shipping rate until that sale. Score! As you can see from my photo, it's a slightly lighter yellow, but it works like a standard yellow on my fair skin when compared to darker shades. It pops in just the right way! Plus, its formula is 3 coats maximum for full opacity, which is hard to achieve with yellow polish at any price point. (Don't you hate it when a color of polish is sold as the brand's "standard primary color," only to find out it takes 4 or 5 streaky coats to achieve that color? So many polish brands do that with yellow and white, even at the salon level. No, thank you!) I've been in in a real yellow mood this summer, so I'm so happy to find a great color that works for me in 3 coats and doesn't chip easily after a few days!elizabeth.o

I have been wearing Mod About You since it was first introduced to the OPI line. It is the most gorgeous shade of pink I have ever put on my hands and toes. Every year when spring comes, it's one of the first things I buy (along with my favorite self tanner). It truly makes me happy! It's a beautiful shade that I have never seen duplicated by any other nail polish line. It has a underlying blue-ish base mixed in with the pink and it works so well with my skin tone. OPI is my go to nail polish when I do my own nails at home. The color options are fantastic and this shade Throw Me a Kiss is so pretty. You have to see this shade in person. It's an iridescent light pink. I tested it without a base coat so even with three coats I can still see the whites of my nail underneath. Next time I try this I will put a base coat underneath. I work with my hands everyday and nail polish does tend to chip pretty easily for me. I tried this without a top coat and it did chip within 2 days. I also did try it with the OPI top coat and it did last about 5 days for me which is great. I love changing up my nail colors especially in the spring and summer and I do recommend this shade. I *love* this color. Very smooth coverage in one coat, and even better color payoff with two coats. It is a nice teal color in bright lighting, and looks like a dusky evergreen in low lighting. The color is amazing. It is like graphite—almost black with a subtle slate shimmer. However, I find this color tricky to work with. It shrank up during the curing process, and it took four thin coats to build up the color. This left me with a thick manicure that was a bit sheer toward the cuticle and free edge. I definitely think this is a good color for your collection, but I think it will take some practicing to get the right coverage.Jessi

I really like compact foundations and this one does not disappoint. I ordered Candlelight and it was perfect for my light/medium freckled skin. I'm 64 and have dry skin. Anyone considering setting up an at home gel kit with Gelish…. JUST DO IT!! I had never been that into nail polish since I always dented it as it was drying, it could get everywhere, and even if the application looked perfect, I knew that would last 48hours max before chipping. So I tried gel. I purchased a starter kit with Gelish and a small LED lamp back around 20019 and I've never looked back. My collection continues to grow and grow and I finally upgraded to the best LED lamp in the market – the official big Harmony lamp which is amazing. Also, my nails always were weak and peeled. Now I have long, strong nails that people enviously comment on. I could talk about this forever but here's what you need to know. Don't buy UV – it's suspected to be dangerous for skin and takes a long time. Just go LED – Shellac is really the only brand that's stuck in the UV land. Almost everything else is LED compatible. You only need to buy the Gelish base, a colour, and the top coat. You don't need PH Bond or cleanser or remover or anything else (you may find your nails are particularly oily and require the PH Bond later, but experiment first rather than wasting money). Where to buy these things? If you're in Australia go to Harehouse Warehouse to look at the colours. They sell Minis for $20 which is wayyyy too expensive. Then find a seller in your State on eBay (to minimise postage costs) and buy full size bottles from them for $20 once you've picked a colour in real life at the shop. The branded cleanser and remover are just expensive ways of buying rubbing alcohol and 100% acetone respectively. Just go to Bunnings and stock up. There's so much you can do once you've mastered the basic gel mani. Look into stamping (you can start with Konad as a brand – there are others, but this is a good quality popular one to start with), embellishments like rhinestones, pigments that can be combined, striping tape, dotting tools, etc. I'm always discovering new ways to build my repertoire – there's no limit to what you can do. Start following nail people on Instagram and build up a library of ideas to browse when you sit down to do a mani. This is such an easy and relaxing process – it's definitely how I treat myself every 1.5-2 weeks. I sit down, remove my last mani, prep my nail and create something new and amazing all over again while watching some telly and eating chocolate. It's great. And I'm ALWAYS getting compliments on my different manis – from friends, shop assistants, anyone.rugile.k

I received this color, Sea Foam Gelish Polish and was really excited to used it. I have been doing my own gel nails now for many years. I have the highest quality professional lights and I know what I'm doing. This color would not cure under the lights. I received a replacement and the replacement also would not cure. I tried 5 other colors of the same brand to make sure my lights were working. Yes, they all cured exactly as expected. I tried curing this color longer. 1 minute, 2 minutes, 3 minutes. Still would not cure. I was careful to use thin layers and use the same brand base and top coat. Still no cure. I'm sure sad about it. I really wanted this color to work. I’ve used Gelish gel nail polish for years ever since I’ve started doing my nails at home to save money. It was the gel used in the salon I used to go to so I was surprised to find it so readily available first at Amazon and later at Sally Beauty. I like that the colors come in smaller sizes so they don’t dry up by the time you use them. I also like that the top coat and base coat come in larger bottles. For around $10 a bottle, the gel polish lasts a long time before drying out or becoming clumpy. This stays on well and keeps its true color. I could probably go 3-4 weeks, but my nails grow quickly and I’d prefer to do them every two weeks so they are always looking fresh and pretty. You do have to cure the polish with either a UV (older polishes) or an LED light (newer polishes), but these lights are available on Amazon as well. Gelish comes in 192 colors, according to gelish.com, which is insane, so you have plenty of colors to choose from. If you want to see all the colors, definitely check out Gelish.com. I recommend this gel polish and will continue to purchase it although recently I’ve been buying a brand called Beetles which comes in kits and sets, is super reasonably priced and works just as well (also available on Amazon- just search Beetles gel polish).wendy.r

This was my first purchase from ORLY and I am IN LOVE. Love the formula, love the brush. At first I felt the brush didn't pick up product as it should, but the shape of the brush is the BEST I've used. I always struggle to cover the side edges of my nails with polish, but this brush is designed perfectly for that. It very easily spread over my nail and down to the edge WITHOUT straying onto my skin. As for coverage, the first coat didn't dry so quickly that I couldn't go back and fully cover the nail. Fun for going to the local festival on Saturday afternoon as well as sophisticated for dancing at an evening soiree. I have been searching for a true red that was not orange-y or too burgundy and this is the shade I wanted. I like the Breathable line. They seem to endure longer than most other polishes and make my somewhat soft nails stronger. FYI: I was NOT compensated for this review. I ordered online and the shipment was delayed by the carrier(s), but once I contacted Orly, their customer service followed up and shipment was expedited from where it had stalled. Problem resolved. All but one bottle I ordered was sealed. It so happened that the one without a seal was this Star Spangled. As the title says, this is such a fun topper! It reminds me a bit of a carnival with funnel cake and ring toss games haha. It's bright and colorful and is fairly easy to apply in terms of getting a perfect amount of all the different glitter pieces on your nail. I did dab once or twice with the brush after brushing it on to try to place a couple of the larger bits a little more strategically, and it worked like a charm. I'm attaching a photo with it Turn It Up over two coats of Here Comes the Sun. If you see micro bubbles in the clear portion of the polish, please ignore! That was due to the top coat I used (and have since stopped using lol) and not Turn It Up.AJ S.

I have enjoyed fiddling with nail polish since I was a little girl and remember wearing nail polish daily in high school. Nowadays, I only wear nail polish occasionally because it tends to chip while I do housework. I go the Eternal nail polish set of four bottles in nude and rose gold colors. The colors are really feminine. The best part is that the Eternal nail polish is free from twenty-one chemicals that are often found in other nail polishes. I just recently found out that over time, if you wear nail polish all the time, these chemicals can seep into your nail bed. Moreover, the nail polish is vegan, so no animal products in it. And, it is made in the United States. When I first applied it, the polish glided on smoothly and was very shiny. It dried evenly and quickly. The shine was impressive. I put a clear top coat on. To my surprise, today is day 3 and the polish has not chipped at the tips despite my doing housework. There were several times I scrapped it against Velcro by accident and it didn’t chip either. I am actually very excited about this nail polish since I learned it is free from 21 harmful chemicals. free from animal derived ingredients and made in the USA! Finally a non-toxic nail product I can feel good about. Eternal EtVoil is a classic collection that comes with 3 shades of pale pinks (French Kiss – French – French Chiffon), 1 opaque bright white (Blanco Tiza) and 1 clear. Beautiful colors to wear alone or to create the perfect french manicure. Application was a breeze. I first applied an Eternal Nourishing Base Coat (important in protecting your nails from staining and I believe makes your polish hold up better) followed by one coat of French Kiss and one coat of clear as a top coat. Polish glides on smoothly, had good coverage after one coat (two if you want a more opaque finish), did not streak, and dried quickly. Even though this polish is free from harmful chemicals, it does have the usual polish smell as can be expected. After a week of wear and a refresh top coat, polish is virtually chip free. Really love this product. Create beautiful nails without harmful ingredients. Highly Recommended!dmw

The Eternal 5 Nail Polish Collection "Et Voila!" is a gorgeous 5 piece set that contains: Clear Crystal (top coat), Blanco Tiza (sparkling white), French (a light sandy color), French Kiss (a light pink), and French Chiffon (a pale skin-color). Each bottle has 0.46 ounces of nail polish in them and the caps are easy to screw off. I'm really impressed with how easy to apply these polishes are – no bubbling! I love that all of these colors are made in the USA, non-toxic, and that they are free from 21 harmful chemicals. The clear topcoat is one of the best that I have ever used. It does an amazing job at keeping the colors beneath it intact and protected. The colors all dry incredibly quick, which is perfect for at-home manicures. I decided to try out French tips for the first time and was not disappointed. I did the white tips freehand and they took me a couple of tries to nail down. It would be awesome if this kit had a little nail guide so that you could easily trace the white tips. My only complaint is that some of the bottle tops had a little grime on them, like they had been used. It was as if it were a dark-grey polish that accidentally got on it while in the warehouse (there was literally a little fingerprint that was on one of the tops). There was also a little bit of white nail polish that was on the outside of the Blanco Tiza bottle too. I also wish there was a little guide that showed you which colors were which (I didn't see any labels on the bottles) and which ones to use on top of each other to achieve the right French tip look. I had a little issue with getting some of the colors not to get too streaky (it was the opaque vs the matte colors). All and all, these nail colors are super high quality.coffeemamaonthego
