I used only this product on my nails (twice a day) for about one month. I wanted to see if it would work. I was going to give up on it, but I started seeing results. My nails have always peeled and broken easily. My nails are now stronger, thicker, longer and not peeling. I have sensitive skin and this item did not cause any irritation like some nail products do. I have also long used a ceramic/glass file, instead of an emery board, which can separate layers of the nail. The only suggestion I have on the Vitamin Strength Serum is that I think a brush would have worked better. I also wanted to comment on the packaging of item. I like that you can see through the bottle. I have used the "Nail Growth Serum" in the dark gold colored bottle. This is the Orly Nailtrition treatment polish and it retails for $15 at Ulta. This is suppose to be a nail strengthener for peeling and splitting nails. The formula is thick, shiny, and pink. This is certainly a handy all-in-one product that can be used as a base coat, top coat, fill-in, and nail protectant. I typically do gel or dip on my nails because they are very brittle and prone to flaking. I apply this product over my 1+ week old dip nails to give them extra shine. This product has a lovely, moisturizing gel-like texture that gives a wonderful shine. However, because it has a thicker, more moisturizing consistency, it takes a very long time to dry so would probably not be ideal as a top coat for regular nail polish. If you don’t touch it at all, the finish is beautiful, but even if you accidentally touch it hours later before it has fully dried, the finish can become texturized and dull. I think this is best used as a nail protectant over natural nails or over acrylic/dip/gel. It is super easy to apply with a generous large brush and (relatively) minimal nail polish odor. I would recommend this product on polish-breaks between manicures. It is also a great all-purpose travel polish. This treatment was super beneficial for my natural nails. I had just removed my acrylic nails at home with a regular nail file and some acetone, so my nails were weak, dry, and a little brittle. After washing my hands after all the abrasive removal, I put on two layers of this treatment and then some cuticle oil after it dried. Not only are my nails shiny and healthy-looking, they also feel a lot stronger than before. My nails have always been a little weaker and textured, but I genuinely would not be able to see that with this treatment on. My nails are also significantly smoother than they were with all the filing I did. I also found the smell to be quite pleasant compared to normal nail polish and acetone, but maybe that was because I applied it after smelling acetone fumes for a couple hours. While I love it as a treatment, I cannot vouch for it as a base coat nor a top coat, This could be a good “primer” for a base coat, but it doesn’t seem sticky enough to be a good base coat that helps polish adhere to it. I bought the @home kit by Kiss and it lasted about a week…if you’ve done dip for a while you know that when you stop, your bare nails are LONGGGGGGG but brittle…at least mine were paper thin and literally broke anytime I passed my fingers through my hair. 😩😩 I had bought this nail repair polish a while ago and decided that now was the best time to try it. I have been applying it every other day, consistently over 6-7 weeks and my nails are STRONG, and much longer than when I clipped my nails. I file them slightly 1x a week just to avoid them from breaking. Not sure if I’ll go back to dip after finally getting my nails to a healthy state but I HIGHLY recommend this nail repair polish! I'm only on week 3 of the process, which is a month long, but so far I've absolutely loved this nail strengthener! I've tried tons of other nail strengtheners, including a $25 one, and this is the best one I've used so far. It doesn't tint the tips of your nails or turn them yellow, and it has a very natural sheen–not too glossy. My nails are stronger than they've ever been. I have only chipped a nail once, and that was at my job during the first week of using this strengthener (I work a pretty hands on, physical job). Since then, I haven't broken or chipped a single nail. I plan on continuing to wear this as a base coat or just naturally on my nails once I'm done with the month. I strongly recommend this product, but I will warn people to look into the entire process and what it entails, because these last two weeks of the month will take a bit of commitment.Claire

Long ago I gave up on my nails, trying to just handle them short to curtail their peeling and splitting tendencies. Last march I had a shellac mani to be fancy for a wedding and it ruined my already quite pathetic nails. After several months of trying to grow out a vertical split that had resulted I searched for something that would strengthen them enough to at least get back to normal shorties. Well, I saw this product and the reviews and thought i would give it a try. I did follow directions to the letter, which helped and it was at a vacation time for me so I could stay on track. After the first two weeks I had never seen my nails so 'non splitty' , and something in this is definitely fortifying them. After the initial two weeks I went into the 2 week every other day schedule, and I went ahead and purchased the soy remover as well. Pros: much 'cleaner' product line than any I see. Virtually no odor or strong smell, makes application pleasant. Products work better than any I ever used on my mid 50's nails! Cons: none yet, and I just ordered from the Labor day sale. This serum works great for moisturizing those dry/raggedy cuticles. It has improved the look of mine by 1000% . I do NOT use this product per the instructions as I found it caused to much dryness when used daily. Once I learned to not overuse, I have significant benefit from using once a week. My process is brush oil directly on nails, allow oil to sit on the nails for a minute, then massage into the nails. Since I do this in the evening, it allows the product to further penetrate overnight. The next morning, I apply solar oil and allow that to penetrate. I was excited when I ordered this at first bec there's a lot of positive reviews. I'm glad I received it in good packaging (although it's not sealed). I immediately used and immediately observed that even after washing my hands, my nails and cuticles still looked oiled (not in an awful way) and moisturized. I was immediately impressed. I just did not like the scent… it is very strong and felt like I cannot use this product anytime outside my home bec the smell is heavy. Amazing!!! The fist oil/strengthener I used that actually made my nails grow!!! (I tried like 5, not a dozen though) My nails were so weak they used to split, and barely grew if at all. No I actually have nails!!! Stronger and more smooth looking. Hope they will grow to be longer, will update. Also, not sure but I think they are more white looking (the tips) than they used to be. The scent is quite strong at first, tea tree smell. After the first few minutes it subsides but still noticeable scent coming from my nails. I am not fond of it, but it is a cross I will happily bear to have pretty nails 😉 Also at least its natural scent. P.S- If the brush feels hard, just separate the hairs of the brush.iHerb Customer

As soon as pandemic hit, my nail salon closed. I let cut down my acrylics and eventually soaked them in Acetone and removed them. My nails were weak, thin, brittle and have horizontal lines and cracks. I bought Rocket Fuel in Hope's that it would help my nails. They were already grown out from the acrylic damage but were just weak, brittle and had these ridges, causing me to have to keep them very short. Used Rocket Nail Fuel for the recommended 8 weeks. No changes in my nails…still weak, brittle and ridged. Besides that about 3/4s through the bottle, the polish became very thick and hard to apply. Also, by the time I was at my third coat my nails had a blue tinge which just looked weird. I wrote customer service and was told that there was no blue tinge…"Hello, am I seeing things?" And that to remedy the thickness of the polish, I should add a few drops of Acetone. Really? I thought the whole concept behind Rocket Fuel was that it had natural, healthy ingredients. Now you want me to put Acetone into the product to thin it out? All in all, if I could give it zero stars I would. I did get a refund though, so that is the upswing. I did go to my dermatologist and he looked at my nails and the remainder of what was in the bottle of Rocket Fuel and said, it seemed I paid over $20 for a product that I could buy at the drugstore for under $5 and that by the smell of the product it smells just like any other nail polish out there and I would do best to go back to using my good old standby odor Black Jamaiican Castor Oil which amazingly cured the fungus under my toenails and does help moisturize my fingernails…and costs a fraction of what Beaute Garde's Rocket Fuel (Can you say $1 at the Dollar Tree?). Dont fall for these high price gimmicky beauty products, when there are natural things out there that cost next to nothing and do much more.
I was extremely excited when I saw the FB ad in regards to strong nails not breaking. I have very thin, peeling nails and the sides of my thumb's split so I thought this would answer my prayers. I have put three coats on over a week and a half and I had FOUR nails break on me! The cost at $23 and the product not working is totally RIDICULOUS!! My nails were all the same length and they were long and I was so looking forward to this product working and I am extremely disappointed! It made my nails extremely hard but when they started breaking over simply opening the car door that is absolutely ridiculous! I am not using my nails as tools to open packages and I'm very careful because I have thin nails. But when you're opening your car door and your nail breaks it's just ludicrous! This product does not do what it says it does! I had to cut my nails down all the way because of the FOUR breaks I had two on each hand!! I would definitely not recommend this product to anybody and unfortunately I did to a friend and she bought it but she is in Costa Rica right now and I have no communication with her right now but when she gets back I really want to know how she made out! I had to give this one star because I cannot give it a zero star and give a review but it kills me to give one star!! I will tell everyone I know not to use this product and I have a big mouth and I am on a lot of nail groups on FB and IG so people will hear the truth on a totally incompetent product!! This has been my go-to top coat for years. I love it!!! As long as Sally Hansen makes it, I will NEVER be without it. It does exactly what it says it will do and rivals all higher end formulas I have tried. Actually it beats them! It protects the color of your polish…even white (which is difficult), gives the most beautiful shine, dries fast and adds a protective barrier that lasts and lasts. If I paint my nails on Saturday or Sunday night…usually right before I go to bed – my routine for flawless manicures for years – I wake up and my nails are perfect every single time. I can get anywhere from 5 to 7 days of uncompromised wear when I use this formula. If I'm doing any cleaning I wear gloves (of course!), but other than that through typing and hand washing, etc., this formula hold up. Used as I suggest, you will not be disappointed. Try it in combination with Sally Hansen Insta Dry Polish, but it works well with all formulas. My friends, family and colleagues always compliment my manicures and have all thanked me repeatedly for recommending this top coat. Using it for about a week now and so far am very pleased. Can see a noticeable improvement in my nails, even right after the first application – nail surface is smoother and color more even. Overall, nails look healthier and they do feel a bit stronger. When I was seven or so years old, I slammed my right thumbnail in a car door. My nail was allowed to heal on its own– which was not great. The nail has a big bump or two, right in the center of the nailbed and has always caught on fabric or provided an irresistible object to mess with or (better word) aggravate. In my later years, I began to try nail stickers, filing and super glue. The stickers and glue, only made the nail more snaggy and the filing made it thinner — no good results. Then … I stumble upon this product after browsing a scientific article about how the combination of the two main ingredients, showed much promise. After two weeks of applying it about 3 times a day, my thumbnail is nearly unrecognizable. I'm guessing these ingredients have moisturized the nail and bed. I'm not sure about why it feels so much smoother, but I am thrilled with the results. My nails grow quickly and very strong already, so when I received this in a sample box I wasn't expecting to really notice any difference or even use the product much. Given that, I don't see a difference in growth or strength, but I was pleasantly surprised by how it made my nails look. I'm not sure if the product "fills" imperfections or "plumps" the nail tissue by moisturizing, but my nails a much smoother and shinier than they were. I never thought of my nails as being dull; I've always liked how my nails look naturally. However, after applying this to my nails once daily for about a week, they look like I've had them buffed and polished without any nail polish, base coat, or clear coat on them. My cuticles also look like they do when I use a daily cuticle oil (which I rarely do because I just don't think about it). I'd recommend this product for overall nail and cuticle "glow". It's easy to use, takes a few seconds to apply, and rubs in quickly. To be clear, I didn't exactly follow the instructions. I sped things up by just doing a quick swipe across my nails at once then rubbing it in a bit. With that method, I got the results I described above and it absorbed right away so I could use it during my morning routine without really taking up any extra time.MK12345
This is truly not like any other product ive tried on my nails and cuticles. It feels like it actually conditions my nails. I received this in my beauty box so I haven't been able to test this long term. However the immediate results are nice. I feel like it helps my cuticles as well as my nails. I am not sure if the product I received is defective, but I have not had the same results that most others have mentioned. I have had CND shellac on my nails for almost 2 years straight, and just as I recieved this in my subscription box, I had decided to take a break and try to grow out my natural nails. The part that seems defective to me is that the serum is incredibly thick like a paste, not like a gel or a serum. After a few minutes of letting it dry and absorb into my nails, they are sticky and have a thick residue on them. In my quest for healthier nails and cuticles, I purchased this to use under my base coat and nail polish as a strengthening treatment. This definitely worked. My nails have been so strong since I started using this regularly. I change my manicure about once a week and I apply the Nail Tek Moisturizing Strengthener underneath every other manicure because too much protein can cause nails to harden and therefore snap off when hitting something instead of bending like a healthy nail does.sandra.l

Using it for about a week now and so far am very pleased. Can see a noticeable improvement in my nails, even right after the first application – nail surface is smoother and color more even. Overall, nails look healthier and they do feel a bit stronger. Time will tell if it helps me gain length, but I can already see improvement in a couple of damaged nails that tend to repeatedly split in certain places, so that makes me very happy. Love that it's a non-oily formula I can apply polish over.Annice
When I was seven or so years old, I slammed my right thumbnail in a car door. My nail was allowed to heal on its own– which was not great. The nail has a big bump or two, right in the center of the nailbed and has always caught on fabric or provided an irresistible object to mess with or (better word) aggravate. In my later years, I began to try nail stickers, filing and super glue. The stickers and glue, only made the nail more snaggy and the filing made it thinner — no good results. Then … I stumble upon this product after browsing a scientific article about how the combination of the two main ingredients, showed much promise. After two weeks of applying it about 3 times a day, my thumbnail is nearly unrecognizable. I'm guessing these ingredients have moisturized the nail and bed. I'm not sure about why it feels so much smoother, but I am thrilled with the results. Yes, it is a little spendy and there's not much in the container (though I am still on my first one), but DUDE … this is amazing.Karla

I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH about this product. I had acrylic nails on for 2 years and when I got them off my nails were thing and damaged and flaking. I saw results after a couple weeks, 3 years later and I’m still using it religiously. I LOVE THIS HARDENER, for price point and effectiveness it’s amazing. No complaints about this nail treatment whatsoever. My nails were getting extremely brittle from constant school stress so my cousin got me a bottle of this, raving about its effects. From the first application I saw results in my nails, I could finally grow them out without worrying about chips or breaks. The more you apply, of course, the stronger your nails will get. My cousin actually applied Vitry for 3 weeks to grow her nails out for her wedding, and on her wedding day everyone thought she had on fake nails because they got so long! I actually just applied a coat a few days ago because I noticed one nail was on the verge of breaking, and just a few days later, the brittleness and softness in my nails has disappeared. I have a mini size of this nail hardener and it changed my life! For many years I've had very short and weak nails because I used to bite them a lot. Unfortunately I don't have a before and after picture. To see some progress you have to put some every 2-3 days after dissolving the product off of your nails with the Vitry Magic Touch Nail Polish Remover.
