I have used Nailtiques Formula 2 for many years. It absolutely improves the strength and look of my nails. The trick is to use it consistently and follow the directions to apply one coat daily. I make one to three applications a week to maintain the results and make sure I always have this on my nails. I don't wear color polish often but Nailtiques works great as a first coat with color polish as the second. If you are just starting out with Nailtiques I would suggest not using colored polish for the first few weeks and just use Nailtiques to give your nails a good start. It took me weeks to finally get it in the mail, but I really like this product. My nails are badly damaged from gels and acrylics. The pink color is ok but would not be my choice. It does let me see where it has worn off on the edges more easily though. My nails are easily broken and thin to begin with, so damaged they are very fragile. I got the pink tinted nail strengthener and at first really liked it. I decided to wear it on its own, and that was a mistake. In less than a day the polish would chip and flake off. It has absolutely not durability. I’ve removed it, tried prepping my nails, and reapplied it but still had the same problem. I wonder if this would be better under another nail polish, which is why I’m giving it three stars instead of two. I assume those who give this product 5 stars are wearing this underneath another polish and maybe that’s why it works for them. In the bottle this has a purple tint which is not noticeable once applied, it goes on completely clear. Instructions say to apply two layers and that's it. The product is a lot thinner than regular nail polish, so you need to make sure you are not picking up too much product! I used only this product on my nails (twice a day) for about one month. I wanted to see if it would work. I was going to give up on it, but I started seeing results. My nails have always peeled and broken easily. My nails are now stronger, thicker, longer and not peeling. I have sensitive skin and this item did not cause any irritation like some nail products do. I have also long used a ceramic/glass file, instead of an emery board, which can separate layers of the nail. The only suggestion I have on the Vitamin Strength Serum is that I think a brush would have worked better. I also wanted to comment on the packaging of item. I like that you can see through the bottle. I have used the "Nail Growth Serum" in the dark gold colored bottle. This nail strengthener has done the unthinkable: salvaged my thin, peeling, damaged nails that I was on the brink of accepting would be stubby forever. I was caught in a cycle of chewing them in times of stress, getting acrylics to cover up the issue, removing them and starting all over. My nails were put through the ringer. I honestly am not sure how I finally stopped biting them, as I’ve been trying for years. However, a combo of at home manicures and a daily coat of this stuff has them looking spectacular. My nails have always been filled with ridges and discoloration and peeling off. (I don’t help the matter with peeling myself) but as I age it gets even worse . I always use this before I put on my nail concealer to try and fill the ridges and give my nails some more strength. My goodness, what this has done for my nails is unreal! As soon as we went in “lockdown” mode, I needed my Dip mani ASAP. I bought the @home kit by Kiss and it lasted about a week…if you’ve done dip for a while you know that when you stop, your bare nails are LONGGGGGGG but brittle…at least mine were paper thin and literally broke anytime I passed my fingers through my hair. 😩😩 I had bought this nail repair polish a while ago and decided that now was the best time to try it. I have been applying it every other day, consistently over 6-7 weeks and my nails are STRONG, and much longer than when I clipped my nails. I like this product. I'm too busy with my hands and don't have time for constant manicures and nail repair. This product gives my fingernails a little shine and hardens them. It lasted over a week before I took it off easily with remover and polished again. I ordered the light pink bottle but it is definitely NOT pink at all. With one application it is clear. I'm only on week 3 of the process, which is a month long, but so far I've absolutely loved this nail strengthener! I've tried tons of other nail strengtheners, including a $25 one, and this is the best one I've used so far. It doesn't tint the tips of your nails or turn them yellow, and it has a very natural sheen–not too glossy. My nails are stronger than they've ever been. I have only chipped a nail once, and that was at my job during the first week of using this strengthener (I work a pretty hands on, physical job). Since then, I haven't broken or chipped a single nail. I plan on continuing to wear this as a base coat or just naturally on my nails once I'm done with the month. I strongly recommend this product, but I will warn people to look into the entire process and what it entails, because these last two weeks of the month will take a bit of commitment.Claire

While I credit the No More Bitting polish for helping me kick the habit, the health of my nails I attribute to oiling my cuticles and First Aid Kiss. Long ago I gave up on my nails, trying to just handle them short to curtail their peeling and splitting tendencies. Last march I had a shellac mani to be fancy for a wedding and it ruined my already quite pathetic nails. After several months of trying to grow out a vertical split that had resulted I searched for something that would strengthen them enough to at least get back to normal shorties. Well, I saw this product and the reviews and thought i would give it a try. I did follow directions to the letter, which helped and it was at a vacation time for me so I could stay on track. After the first two weeks I had never seen my nails so 'non splitty' , and something in this is definitely fortifying them. After the initial two weeks I went into the 2 week every other day schedule, and I went ahead and purchased the soy remover as well. Pros: much 'cleaner' product line than any I see. Virtually no odor or strong smell, makes application pleasant. Products work better than any I ever used on my mid 50's nails! Cons: none yet, and I just ordered from the Labor day sale. This is certainly a handy all-in-one product that can be used as a base coat, top coat, fill-in, and nail protectant. I typically do gel or dip on my nails because they are very brittle and prone to flaking. I apply this product over my 1+ week old dip nails to give them extra shine. This product has a lovely, moisturizing gel-like texture that gives a wonderful shine. However, because it has a thicker, more moisturizing consistency, it takes a very long time to dry so would probably not be ideal as a top coat for regular nail polish. If you don’t touch it at all, the finish is beautiful, but even if you accidentally touch it hours later before it has fully dried, the finish can become texturized and dull. I think this is best used as a nail protectant over natural nails or over acrylic/dip/gel. It is super easy to apply with a generous large brush and (relatively) minimal nail polish odor. I would recommend this product on polish-breaks between manicures. It is also a great all-purpose travel polish. This treatment was super beneficial for my natural nails. I had just removed my acrylic nails at home with a regular nail file and some acetone, so my nails were weak, dry, and a little brittle. After washing my hands after all the abrasive removal, I put on two layers of this treatment and then some cuticle oil after it dried. Not only are my nails shiny and healthy-looking, they also feel a lot stronger than before. My nails have always been a little weaker and textured, but I genuinely would not be able to see that with this treatment on. My nails are also significantly smoother than they were with all the filing I did. I also found the smell to be quite pleasant compared to normal nail polish and acetone, but maybe that was because I applied it after smelling acetone fumes for a couple hours. While I love it as a treatment, I cannot vouch for it as a base coat nor a top coat, This could be a good “primer” for a base coat, but it doesn’t seem sticky enough to be a good base coat that helps polish adhere to it. I also don’t think the texture is quite smooth or even enough to be a top coat which is meant to seal and even everything.grace.c
I have been learning how to do my own ombre nails and nail stamping. It can be a long process to apply the many different layers to achieve the look I want, and it is very frustrating to go through all that work only to smear the polish on a nail and have to start over. Enter Sally Insta Dri Top Coat. This awesome little gem is a nice consistency and goes on nicely – it's not too thin, yet doesn't gloop everywhere either. It leaves a nice shiny, clear color, and speeds the drying process. It also does not soak through the nail stamping sealer coat, so it doesn't smear the stamped designs. I have tried some expensive top coats that permeate through the layers of polish and ruin the nail stamping designs. The best part, this top coat protects my manicure! I wash dishes, cook, do laundry, type on a computer, shuffle papers around, and this top coat protects through it all! As any nail professional will tell you, you must touch up your manicure with a good top coat every few days if you want to prolong the life of your manicure. This Sally Insta Dri Top Coat is perfect for that, too. I just apply a quick top coat every other day before I leave for work in the morning and it is completely set by the time I arrive at the office. Perfect! As soon as pandemic hit, my nail salon closed. I let cut down my acrylics and eventually soaked them in Acetone and removed them. My nails were weak, thin, brittle and have horizontal lines and cracks. I bought Rocket Fuel in Hope's that it would help my nails. They were already grown out from the acrylic damage but were just weak, brittle and had these ridges, causing me to have to keep them very short. Used Rocket Nail Fuel for the recommended 8 weeks. No changes in my nails…still weak, brittle and ridged. Besides that about 3/4s through the bottle, the polish became very thick and hard to apply. Also, by the time I was at my third coat my nails had a blue tinge which just looked weird. I wrote customer service and was told that there was no blue tinge…"Hello, am I seeing things?" And that to remedy the thickness of the polish, I should add a few drops of Acetone. Really? I thought the whole concept behind Rocket Fuel was that it had natural, healthy ingredients. Now you want me to put Acetone into the product to thin it out? All in all, if I could give it zero stars I would. I did get a refund though, so that is the upswing. I did go to my dermatologist and he looked at my nails and the remainder of what was in the bottle of Rocket Fuel and said, it seemed I paid over $20 for a product that I could buy at the drugstore for under $5 and that by the smell of the product it smells just like any other nail polish out there and I would do best to go back to using my good old standby odor Black Jamaiican Castor Oil which amazingly cured the fungus under my toenails and does help moisturize my fingernails…and costs a fraction of what Beaute Garde's Rocket Fuel (Can you say $1 at the Dollar Tree?). Dont fall for these high price gimmicky beauty products, when there are natural things out there that cost next to nothing and do much more.
I was extremely excited when I saw the FB ad in regards to strong nails not breaking. I have very thin, peeling nails and the sides of my thumb's split so I thought this would answer my prayers. I have put three coats on over a week and a half and I had FOUR nails break on me! The cost at $23 and the product not working is totally RIDICULOUS!! My nails were all the same length and they were long and I was so looking forward to this product working and I am extremely disappointed! It made my nails extremely hard but when they started breaking over simply opening the car door that is absolutely ridiculous! I am not using my nails as tools to open packages and I'm very careful because I have thin nails. But when you're opening your car door and your nail breaks it's just ludicrous! This product does not do what it says it does! I had to cut my nails down all the way because of the FOUR breaks I had two on each hand!! I would definitely not recommend this product to anybody and unfortunately I did to a friend and she bought it but she is in Costa Rica right now and I have no communication with her right now but when she gets back I really want to know how she made out! I had to give this one star because I cannot give it a zero star and give a review but it kills me to give one star!! I have tried every and almost all nail strengtheners on the market. Not one was perfect except for this Dermelect. It does not dry out the nails or make it so hard that it breaks.I have used it twice but the first time I put on three layers because my nails were so weak. Easy to take off. I bought this after reading the reviews. After 20+ yrs of acrylic nails I decided to take a break. I used this alone for a cpl weeks while my nails were in that very thin and painful stage. I absolutely love this base coat and it did go into the dips and helped my nails to be not so painful while I'm letting them breathe, I used 3 coats to start with and have washed dishes and they haven't peeled. But I'm going to start over and clean my nails, use this base coat and a color. I'm sure my nails aren't going to look good yet, that's prob gonna take a month or more. My nails are paper thin and tore/broke easily, and needed a protective hardener. This peeled off easily, alas, and has a light green color that gave a sickly green tinge to my nails if worn alone. Since colored polish chips off so easily, I really was looking for a standalone product. This would be ok for someone who can spend time having a manicure and apply colored polish over this product as a base.

I was sceptical but desperate, as a child I bit my nails and they have never been very strong, in my teens I stopped biting but my nails but they just rip and bend anyway. I've tried loads of other nail strengtheners and none worked a bit, I've been applying this every other day for almost 4 weeks and my nails feel so much thicker and stronger even after removal! They don't bend and my nails for the first time in my life are straight cut and all one length. It is so exciting for me I can't stop tapping my nails on things to hear the sound it makes!!!!!! The only thing is when you have more than one coat of nail defence on and no polish on, it peels within 2 days a bit so you have to reapply but I don't really mind. My nails have a tendency to peel, break off, and split down the sides once they reach a certain length. I was looking for a cruelty free treatment to improve their condition – and this is not it. My nails started peeling way more than when I first began. I had such high hopes because it looks like this product has gotten some glowing reviews, but I suspect the outcome is pretty hit-or-miss, and at this price point it's not worth the gamble. P.S. – It also gives off a distinctively unpleasant smell once it's dry, so if you do want to try it I recommend layering another polish over the top to disguise the scent. I have been using this product for 3 1/2 weeks and I can tell you that the good and bad reviews are accurate. My nails are as thin and brittle as paper and tear just as easily. I followed the directions of the polish to the T and yes, it does work. My nails are growing and are longer then they would ever be without this product. I apply a new layer every other day but once you get to the end of the week, having multiple layers on, does cause the polish to peel but you're removing it the next day to restart the process so it wasn't a big deal to me. When the polish is off, my nails do not feel stronger on their own but maybe that will change with continued use. For the first two weeks I did not use any other polish on my nails but by week three I was curious if this would work with another polish so I did a French manicure, only one layer of white on my nails w/o base coat, and applied the straightener on top and went about the week applying a new coat every other day and it's worked great!! It's too early to say of this is a long term cure for my brittle nails but it looks hopeful.Sarah
I followed instructions to use this product because I was desperate about my nails. They really need help. But this product is not working. It wore off after wearing gloves the first time. During this time of the virus I work gloves to grocer store. i took them off and the treatment had worn off on several nails. I applied again. Then did housework wearing gloves to protect nails and hands. Once again the treatment wore off. Not sure how I get a refund since I ordered online from Ulta and our local store is closed. Im anemic, have hypothyroidism, and have a long history of chronic nail biting, but I think my nail problems were primarily from my medical conditions than the damage Ive most likely done to my nails over the years. My nails were extremely flimsy, you could bend them all the way back over themselves, if they dried out they lost the flexibility and became brittle, breaking off if you so much looked at them wrong, my toenails are pretty much still that way because Im not interested in showing them off but I have started moisturizing them because it feels good never realized how awful extremely dry nails felt!When the polish is removed, my nails are still pretty flimsy but not to the degree that they were before, like nice thick cardstock vs regular paper. With the polish on, especially the more coats I do, they are super strong and resist damage like crazy! Ive accidentally bent my nails opening bins get them caught on the lid lip and doing various things involving my hands, but they didnt break and while they looked damaged initially they looked completely fine and normal the next day, I was shocked! Like it never happened! In all my life Ive never had that happen with my nails, ever. With one coat I can flex them a little bit, right now I have 3 coats on and I cant flex them at all. Ive done maybe 2 weeks of application now, will update with how things have progressed with more applications, interested to know if my nails will continue getting stronger or stay as they are!I also use a Vitamin E serum on my nails/nailbeds and try to moisturize my hands regularly to also help things. Im also OCD and a chronic hand washer I touch anything slightly, I wash my hands and Ive tried to lessen the amount I wash my hands as well around the house, if we go out Im using sanitizer and washing due to covid!Sarah
I got this set as a Christmas gift. Since it's so generous, 3 peaces will be as a gift, other 3 – for myself 🙂 I do have quite good strong nails already. Applied pink envy on my nails today. Overall a great product. Great quality, it doesn’t chip easily, longer durability compared to other brands and has a fair price. That is already enough for me. I can go closer to 3 weeks if I want to. This also dries very quickly. Now, the only cons… this is a very watery nail polish so you need to apply a few times to cover everything, but I can live with that. From all the brands that are currently in the market with a fair price, OPI has been my go to.jessica.p

I was given this polish to restore my nails after having a gel manicure for years. I stopped for covid19, as I couldn’t justify the salon trips with a high health risk person in my household. Sadly, I was forced to let my beautifully appointed gel nail manicure grow out and disappear. Of course what I was left with was entirely awful destroyed nails. However, after 6 weeks or so of this nail treatment as directed, my own nails were restored and in fairly good condition. I continue to use this as a base and top coat to keep my hands healthy. Love this product! It totally helped to strengthen my nails after only a few applications. I was trying to grow my nails after getting a gel manicure that damaged my nails after proper removal. But my nails were brittle and kept breaking. I couldnt get any length and even a simple manicure, there wasnt much nail to file.
