I think this is an okay gel but not great for the price. I have 2c/3a hair and I used it along with another gel and it’s helped with hold and seems to keep my hair moisturised. The smell is pretty bad though – like lemon bleach/disinfectant and the whole room stunk after I used it. However it seems to have faded a few hours after washing and my hair still faintly smells of lemon but I can now also smell the other products I used (which I couldn’t before as the lemon was so overpowering and pungent). The texture is also odd like a raw eggy yellow vibe but if you can get over the texture and smell then I think it’s a decent gel but I probably wouldn’t buy it again. You can definitely get a wide range of better gels for less money.han167

I have tried quite a few hair gels for my wavy/curly hair and I have to admit, this has got to be the best so far. I apply this when my hair is wet. I like this conditioner. Leaves my hair feeling very soft and smooth. I don’t have extremely curly hair but it does define my waves to make them appear more curlier. I however don’t think the price and the amount you get is justifiable since other products of this same size go for $8-10. If it was $10 cheaper than I’d give 5 stars. But $20 for both shampoo and conditioner adds up and almost seems a bit steep for something that doesn’t exactly do anything differently than other products I’ve used. Thankfully I’ve got shorter hair so I don’t ever feel like I’m using a lot of this product. I’ve have now used this styling gel for 3 separate wash n go combinations and I LOVE it. It’s not tacky/sticky and gives moisture, deep definition, and HOLD! For Type 4 curl girls, using this gel in combo with the Pom and honey coiling custard is a dynamic duo! I’ve been looking for a solid gel from Mielle for my hair type and this one takes the cake! Here lately I’ve had an issue with flaking when using my wetline xtreme gel for hold. This gel has replaced that one in my routine as I’ve had NO FLAKING when used with the custard or other clear/light-color styling products. I have tried a few products for my hair including shampoo, conditioner, leave-in conditioners, and co-washes but none of them did the job like the pomegranate and honey products. I recently asked my aunt to purchase the pomegranate and honey shampoo, conditioner, leave-in conditioner, honey coil sculpting custard, and the co-wash, and my mom and I are obsessed. The shampoo and conditioner made my hair look and feel healthy and it moisturized and cleaned my hair thoroughly. After coming out of the shower my hair was detangled and healthy. My mom used the leave-in conditioner on my hair before twisting it and she used the honey coil sculpting custard and 2 other products to twist my hair. Frizzyness used to be very visible in my hair but now it barely showed. These products were overall worth the $65 spent and when it runs out I will most definitely purchase them again.
I am a fairly loyal user of As I Am curl jelly, but my local Sally was out of stock. I was reluctant to use the Mielle line as I had tried the original line of Mielle curl products in the past and it wasn’t enough moisture, weight, etc to nourish and define my curls. I have type 3C/4A THICK curls so I need moisture and weight for my curls to pop. After reading the label about the pomegranate and honey line being for type 4 hair, I decided to give it a try. Well…baybeeee! I could not believe the softness and definition!! I’m talking THE BOMB! I’m so glad I gave it a try. I’m a new fan and will definitely buy it again.

I have tried them ALL from Quidad/devacurl/ curlsmith/ Matrix. I've used the cheap drugstore brands and the overpriced brands like Oribe and I have never found anything like this. You do have to make sure that you work it into your hair so there aren't any clumps. I apply it to literally soaking wet dripping hair in sections and then brush through it to really smooth it out and then twist my curls. after my whole head is done I scrunch with a microfiber and then I add more to my hands and scrunch through the ends to make sure the towel didn't pull the product off. The name of this product is a bit deceiving. If you're looking for a product to keep your wash and go hydrated, it's not the one. I'm echoing the experience of another review, the hold was soft (and some points even crispy) and my hair had lost it's moisture by the end of the day. The ingredient list for this product is impressive so I was surprised it didn't at least keep its moisture. Trying to figure how I'm going to use this product up, I used it after my leave-in before a braid out and it works really well! Even before taking the braids out my hair was looking and feeling ridiculously moisturised. So yeah, wouldn't use as a gel or for wash and go but definitely would recommend as a moisturiser before gel for styles like braids, twists etc.zozo

Works really well on short naturally curly or wavy hair when dry. Not greasy or oily. Washes out really clean without leaving residue. Compared several products in the store for about 1/2 before deciding to get this item. Will probably be buying this item regularly. Also, I do not use this product every day as I have found that using it maybe a few times a week ( 3 times at most or every other day) and just moving the natural texture of my hair around provides adequate grooming keeping my hair looking natural and not stiff or saturated with hair grease and gook. I have short, slightly soft, and loose curly wavy hair that is probably less coarse and kinky where the texture of this cream is stiff enough to provide definition but not so stiff that it flakes up or feels greasy to the touch. I wanted to try this so bad because alcohol was drying my hair and my skin out! I've tried this on both ebin spray glue and ghostbond and it works wonderfully! With ebin, I only have to spray it once and then it lifts right after the first minute. With ghostbond, I have to let it set for a minute, then blot, then spray again. I do this 3 times. It'll lift then I'll wash my skin with soap. What's amazing about this product is that the glue doesn't get stuck on the lace! I think it's absolutely worth it.denna27

I received this product in exchange for my honest review. The SheaMoisture Oil Shine Hair Spray for Wig and Weaves is another product of this line that did not disappoint. I sprayed the oil on my wig that was starting to look dull. Once I sprayed it with the oil spray it bought back the shine and luster. Brushing through the hair was more manageable. The spray is a light oil and has a nice light fragrance. I would let my family and friends know about this product.EL2022

I bought this at Sally's and I wasn't to sure but I tried it anyway because a had a few units that needed a pick me up. It really did work well on both human and synthetic units. On my synthetic ones it didn't leave it heavy or greasy at all, and detangling was very easy. Its suprising light and has a clean smell. It has no parabens, no mineral oil, no petroleum, no phthalate and no animal testing. It revived all my pieces. Definitely will purchase againelyse.s
