I have used Seche Vite top coat for years. I recently got a three pack from Amazon and they are awful. I’ve ordered from their store on Amazon several times before and haven’t had this big of an issue. I’ve kind of always had the shrinkage problem with Seche Vite, but now it looks worse (the lines on the side of my nails where you can see where the top coat is on top of the color). Now though it lifts up the nail polish and chips off in sheets. I make sure to not get the top coat on my skin so there isn’t a lot to lift up, but still it lifts up on the sides of my nails and around my cuticles the next day. I’m also getting more chips, again the next day. I don’t know if this is just a batch problem, but I feel like I may stay clear of Seche Vite for a while. I ordered Glisten Glow’s top coat after I read amazing reviews so hopefully that will work out better!kari.w
I've been using this product for the past two years and it's been my go to top coat . My nail polish will last for about 5-7 days , while using this top coat. I've used other top coats in the past but this one is the best one. Also, it provided a nice finish to your nails after polishing. Get this top coat and you won't regret it. I just wished the formula would stay the same even when you're running low on the product. I hope the company looks into this because it's my only complaint. The top coat should be usable until the bottle is empty .
This top coat really is fast drying, but not only that, it dries to a hard lacquered finish. The best thing about it is that it's meant to be used over still wet nail polish; it's far more convenient to go straight into your top coat than having to wait minutes for each coat to dry down. The only issue this polish has is that it shrinks. You have to be careful to completely cover all areas where polish is with this top coat, because otherwise there will be a line of demarcation where the top coat has shrunk a bit. Not a huge deal, but can be very apparent and annoying if you're doing a plain black crème polish (not fun to have to re-do a nail). I purchased this myself as it was readily available at my local drugstore. I’m an active mom of three and I’m tough on nail polish, sometimes it chips on day one. This does help prolong the nail polish on my fingernails, although still I will inevitably chip a nail in a day or two. On my toenails though, this top coat will last weeks. This is a gorgeous, totally unique peachy pink, but it never seems to fully dry. Just 24 hours later, it smudges, scrapes, and chips easily. And this is a fresh, new bottle! I'm annoyed. The formula is somewhat thick, opaque and streaky. Pooling at the cuticles can be a problem because it is a bit drippy, so you have to be pretty careful. Furthermore, it tends to bubble as it dries. Application was frustrating. Making smooth, even strokes on long nails was difficult. It needed three or four coats to level out the streaks. I cut my nails short a week later and tried this polish again. On short nails, it was much easier to get smooth, even strokes with less streaking. This time I only needed three coats. This polish was not worth the hassle to apply to long nails. Since it takes so long to dry, I waited at least an hour between coats. This is an unreasonable amount of time to have to wait to recoat. This polish requires three or four coats to look good and really pop, and waiting so long between coats made for an excruciatingly long process. When several nails smudged the next day and a few chipped, I was super disappointed. The color is pretty, but it's all for naught since it never dries and is therefore unwearable. Bummer. EDIT: A dupe for this color is China Glaze Pink of Me, which I haven't tried yet. The closest color I have in my collection is Orly Prelude to a Kiss. While less pink, it offers easy, fast, flawless, streak-free application that dries quickly and looks like a pro manicure. I was thrilled to find this product. When I finally got around to trying it, I had a difficult time opening the bottle and when I did get the top unscrewed the bottle was broken. I'm unsure if the product leaked into the cap when it was manufactured or what happened. Since it was outside of the 30 day return policy I've had to keep it upright, and in a safe place so it doesn't tip over. The brush was also all matted, so when I do use the product I use a different brush I have. Occasionally when I paint this product on I'll get a thick hardened piece of the product on my nail so have to wipe it off. The product when it does go on nice and is set with the UV light is great. I am assuming I got a bad bottle.

I'm have been doing my own mani’s and pedi’s and I like for them to look as professionally done as possible. So I opted for a gel like top coat. At the same time, I had purchased an OPI one and this Seche one. After comparing, this Seche top coat was by far so much BETTER! I have used it with several brands of polishes, regular and gel. I do believe this top coat is what helps my manicures last as long as they do. It is a great product that I will definitely be repurchasing! Ive tried a lot of products hoping my nails would stop chipping and breaking. Nothing worked, I even gave in into trying Opi Nail Envy which has formaldehyde, I didnt see any difference on the contrary it made my nails worse. I came across this product and gave it a try, I love it!. My nails are strong and long, I also use the hydrating base coat, I use them together. I've used Revlon Nail Enamel more years than I care to admit. this has always been my "go to" polish, in shade Serene (320) for work and :play:, Once in a while I'd lighten the shade up i the summer, but always back to the favorite. No, apparently it's been discontinued and what's left around is way too expensive to even think about buying. The biggest thing I love about this polish is it didn't destroy my nails. After taking the polish off, my nails weren't dry, brittle, chipping and didn't break as much when kept polished. Tried the gel nails once, took me months to get my nails re-grown, needless to say, I went right back to a lite shade of the enamel, then back to Serene. Won't make that mistake again. Question is, what shade will work as well as that, have Totally Toffee, but it's a bit darker and I absolutely don't do pinks or weird color. Am a porcelain skinned strawberry blonde with green eyes and reds/pinks look horrible on me. Any color with a gray overtone makes my nails look like they are dead. So, unless I can talk Revlon into bringing back that particular color, anyone have any ideas on shades along that line?Gigi
I really love this polish. Beautiful colors. I really like 276 Vivacious. The color really lasts. I get 2 weeks of non chip wear. I use a base coat. This polish. 2 coats. Then I go over it with a coat of Revlons Gel Envy. It hold up extremely well. I am really pleased with this polish.Neil

I used this last night for the first time. I had done a design that I was really proud of, but when I put on the topcoat, it immediately smeared the design, even though the polish underneath had had plenty of time to dry. I went to bed an hour later, assuming it would be fine since this bills itself as a quick drying top coat. I woke up with sheet imprints and one nail with the polish pushed and crumpled so there was a large bare patch. I’m very disappointed in the product – maybe it’s just a bad batch, but it performed as if I’d not even bothered. Even hours later, the promised “super-hard finish” has not developed. If you want a quick-drying topcoat that has a hard finish that preserves designs, get something else.
I was really excited to try this top coat. I have quite a collection of them and am always looking to see what’s new. I was not overly impressed with this top coat. It looked flawless at first but the following day is when I started noticing trouble when the tips of my nails were already losing their color underneath and starting to show signs of wear. I know this is bound to happen but I take very god care of my nails and always wear gloves when washing dishes or using hot water for cleaning. Besides that, I thought it was a lovely polish that was super shiny. I also was unimpressed with how long my nails took to dry afterwards. It definitely wasn’t the quickest. This was my first Orly product to ever try and it definitely did not disappoint me. I had seen this brand at target but I didnt want to buy it and not like it so I just always stuck with Sally Hanson. Even though I dont necessarily like Sally's products I tend to buy and go with what i know instead of venturing out, I pain that on being a cancer. Last year my nails were in bad shape and I finally took the risk, not because i was brave but because the products I usually got were stole out of. This made my nails hard and felt good. It never yellowed or chipped and this bottle lasted me months which is rare because the one I bought of Sally's never made it a month before it was so goopy I couldn't apply it anymore. I was hesitant to purchase this because my prior experience with this brand (Ombre kit) was disappointing. But I'm delighted with the Chrome art nail kit in Chameleon. Depending on the light, nail color can look lizard green, bronze, or garnet; glitter sparkle is discreet. Every time I extend my hand to store clerks, waiters, bank tellers, etc. they stop me in mid-sentence to compliment me. I'd give 5 stars but the second kit I purchased, in Bronze, is less distinctive. (The monochromatic color scheme is pretty subtle–maybe I have to play with it more for maximum effect?). Go for the Chameleon, but make sure to cover your work surface thoroughly because the glitter flakes are whisper thin and end up *everywhere.* Otherwise, application is straightforward and simple. This gel-setter top coat really shines! It takes my nails to a new level and makes the color pop. I naturally have ridges in my nails and this top coat makes my nail beds perfectly smooth. I received this gel setter in hopes of it doing a better job at keeping my color from chipping. Within 3 days it has started to chip other than the short life, it is a amazing setter! love this top coat! It definitely dries quickly, my nails are dry and hard within minutes – perfect if you are someone who paints their nails at night but wants to avoid getting sheet marks on the polish. I like the consistency, it is slightly on the thinner side, but is easy to manipulate and isn’t too runny. It dries to a shiny finish. I don’t have any issues with shrinkage using this top coat, my manicures always look in tip-top shape. This top coat is definitely chip resistant, I can usually get 5 days out of a mani when I use this, and I am someone who is quite hard on their hands. I also find that I don’t get tip wear when using this top coat. It is compatible with all of my nail polishes (mostly OPI and Essie with some SinfulColors and Essence). It is also reasonably priced too! I would 100% recommend this product to anyone who needs a quickly drying, long wearing top coat. I would definitely repurchase this for myself also. Love!flor.a
I love doing my nails at home and am always down to dry new products. By far, this has been my LEAST favorite item to have tried. When using this product, it caused a few air bubbles underneath my nail polish and not only does it take forever to dry, but when it actually does, it is almost impossible not to mess up your nails after that. I don't know how people would stamp without this! It has never smudged any of my stamping. Try it without. Lol. You'll want to cry when your crisp stamps turn into a messy blur with one tiny swipe. The formula is exactly as described: thinner and not made to be a shiny, smooth shell. It's a top coat that seals your hard work and does it's job perfectly! The only issue I had was adding a thicker top coat over it, but that was my fault. I chose my regular favorite insta-dry (always my go to with kids and pets in my house), and used it after an hour of the smudge- free drying. Too soon. I didn't factor in that the formula is be more alcohol-heavy and it ate the smudge-free and ruined the stamping. If I let the smudge-free dry overnight, I can top it with zero issue.Katherine E.
Good: didn't smudge! Yay! Negative: tries feeling tacky, when I put a traditional topcoat on top of it, it had a vinyl-like finish that "flexes" rather than a glassy finish, and feels thick and dents and nicks. My manicure looks great is lasting for now but I'm worried it will start peeling soon. I didn't like them at all at first. My daughter actually figured out how to do it. When I did get the gist, I noticed the mess and stress it causes me. I like the idea, if the process actually worked and looked like the stamps, then it was okay. But if the image didn't transfer over, it looked weird. The top coat is rough if it isn't put on correctly and then didn't last much more than a few days before it began to wear away. I wouldn't recommend them if you don't have patience and don't mind everything being covered in polish and like strange looking almost stars on your nails for all to see. I have used Seche Vite top coat for years. I recently got a three pack from Amazon and they are awful. I’ve ordered from their store on Amazon several times before and haven’t had this big of an issue. I’ve kind of always had the shrinkage problem with Seche Vite, but now it looks worse (the lines on the side of my nails where you can see where the top coat is on top of the color). Now though it lifts up the nail polish and chips off in sheets. I make sure to not get the top coat on my skin so there isn’t a lot to lift up, but still it lifts up on the sides of my nails and around my cuticles the next day. I’m also getting more chips, again the next day. I don’t know if this is just a batch problem, but I feel like I may stay clear of Seche Vite for a while. I ordered Glisten Glow’s top coat after I read amazing reviews so hopefully that will work out better!kari.w
I have been using this top coat for the past 8 years ever since I discovered it. It truly makes you drying time much shorter and makes your nail color last for at least 7days and way beyond that. At some point I did start to phase out my nail polish collection to get rid of polishes that were not at least 5 free and tried other top coats but nothing could compare. Unfortunately it is not 5 free but to me it is still worth the risk. I wear it on my acrylic nails so I guess there is less chances of negative effects? I'm hoping because I don't think I could give up this top coat and I dont think it would be as effective without the bad chemicals that prevent it from being a 5 free polish. I guess people just have to be aware of it and make the decision for themselves.helen.l
I've been using this product for the past two years and it's been my go to top coat . My nail polish will last for about 5-7 days , while using this top coat. I've used other top coats in the past but this one is the best one. Also, it provided a nice finish to your nails after polishing. Get this top coat and you won't regret it. I just wished the formula would stay the same even when you're running low on the product. I hope the company looks into this because it's my only complaint. The top coat should be usable until the bottle is empty .

Absolutely love this top coat it is super clear in and the brush works great. Is thick but it dries off under the uv/led lamp fast and your nails stay shinny and pretty til your next appointment. I was thrilled to find this product. When I finally got around to trying it, I had a difficult time opening the bottle and when I did get the top unscrewed the bottle was broken. I'm unsure if the product leaked into the cap when it was manufactured or what happened. Since it was outside of the 30 day return policy I've had to keep it upright, and in a safe place so it doesn't tip over. The brush was also all matted, so when I do use the product I use a different brush I have. Occasionally when I paint this product on I'll get a thick hardened piece of the product on my nail so have to wipe it off. The product when it does go on nice and is set with the UV light is great. I am assuming I got a bad bottle.
The top coat works really well and is one of the many products I use to make press on nails ( I am NailedByRachel on IG).
