The Carrie is the only wig I should ever own. I have had metastatic breast almost 5 years. I have had chemo 2 different times in 5 years and lost my hair twice. I was always afraid to spend the money on a human hair wig since I thought I might not make it. I sell real estate to support myself and I needed to look nice and polished. I wore the same synthetic wig and bought a new one every 2 months because it just did not hold up. Two months ago I was diagnosed with a brain tumor due to the metastatic breast cancer and had to shave the back of my hair due to surgery and radiation. I finally had several coupons and before Christmas bought a human hair Carrie wig. It has been beyond beautiful! I feel like a whole person when I wear this week. It has increased my self confidence and brought some sunshine back in my life. I am 55 and the Carrie wig is so pretty I actually get treated so much better by every one I have had contact with. The wig looked pretty great straight out of the box. I got a lot of compliments, which was great cause this was my first wig and I was really nervous about it looking too wiggy. I blend the lace front with my natural hair line and it looks pretty realistic. However, the wig came in way lighter than I was expecting and I plan on dying it darker. I order it in 12FS8, expecting it to be a dark blonde/ light brown and it was straight up yellow-blonde. The highlights, lowlights, and rooting are really nice and give it more of a realist look, but I still needed to dye it darker to be able to blend my hair line with the lace front. The first weekend I wore it I got caught in a rain storm and the wig frizzed super bad. I tried using some product to smooth it out (trying to avoid heat styling as not to damage the hair) but it's still pretty frizzy. I'm sure a flat iron can fix it, so I don't think its a huge deal. All in all, I'll probably buy again if I don't find something better.Chris

I recently received “Carrie” in Palm Sprngs Blonde. The wig is beautiful, versatile and light. Mine dried naturally with nice waves. It’s the most comfortable wig I’ve worn. This is my first human hair wig; I’ve been wearing synthetics for 3 years. Based upon my happy experience, I’m planning to invest in a longer, more expensive human hair wig next. One note: human hair wig colors will tend to be warmer than their synthetic counterparts and what shows for the swatch online. This human hair wig is a little darker and warmer than my synthetic wigs in Palm Springs Blonde, but Jon Renau makes a shampoo called In Tone Violet that will cool down the warm tones. Because I’m not sure of my future and not sure if I’d be comfortable wearing a wig, I didn’t want to invest too much in one until I knew how it would work. I have this wig in the colour R6/28 F which is chestnut brown with red frost. I would say that the highlights look more blond/golden than I expected but looks good either way since they are evenly divided throughout. The fibers are smooth with fine density. A little shiny, but not too much. The wig is cut in layers that gives a lift to the face and a feminine shape. The length is practical with the longest locks in front and short hair in the neck. It would be a good to idea to ruffle the middle part a bit as the zigzag middle part may seem a little too perfect. I generally like that the hair color is not in one color/solid as it can make it clearer that it is a wig by giving a clearer contrast to the face – especially with light skin tone. The lace front presses a little into the forehead and there could have been a larger amount of hair. If you are completely bare for your own hair, then this lace front can give away that it isn’t your own hair line – but then again, this can be improved by changing the middle parting. The cap is comfortable. Overall good value and a safe choice straight out of the box.Kristin

my new Avalon wig is a disappointment. I loved it when I first got it, but she tangles constantly. It's much more excessive than the normal tangle. I noticed the density is lighter than the Avalon from a few years ago. I'm not sure if they changed the fiber itself, or if I got a dud. The nape on most wigs tangle and you have to use the wide tooth comb and detangling spray throughout the day. This wig is in a constant state of matting and tangles at the nape, and even the outside portion of the sides and back that do not touch clothes are just constantly tangling, the fibers are also looking frizzy very quickly, not something that usually happens on the parts of the synthetic wigs that don't come in contact with clothes. I can't return it, I already cut out the tags and adjusters, I am just surprised that this is happening this quickly on this wig. I know my Finns in Americano and Toffee Latte wore out at the bottom sooner than the normal colors, I figured it was due to the hand painted colors at the end, when I had my MacKenzie in 8/12 those fibers lasted. That's why I chose a regular color on Avalon I figured it would have been better than the coffee collection colors. But this wig is not holding up. I did at the suggestion of Amy @ wigstudio1 try a conditioning treatment, I used the Estetica conditioner and the Bamboo Silicon and the fibers still look matted, frizzy and almost like the fibers were razored. I've only had this wig less than 2 weeks. Most synthetics last substantially longer for months and years.cecelia g.

I had originally purchased Orchid in Iced Mocha, but that color was on back order until the end of May, so I went with Caramel Kiss. It’s not the perfect color for me, as I prefer cooler tones, but she’s absolutely STUNNING! The only thing I really struggle with about the color is the one harsh and chunky blonde streak towards the front. Everywhere else, the colors are beautifully and lightly streaked and blend very well. I lean more to a petite size, so she does shift if I don’t use “It Stays,” even with tightening the straps. I also wish the permatease wasn’t so thick at the temples. Her movement is flawless and she looks very natural. Although, the knotting at the hairline is a bit thick and very dark. I did carefully pluck a little and feel better about the lace front, now. The length is perfect for me as it’s the length I’m used to wearing with my bio hair (until I recently cut it to fit better under wigs). She’s my first wig, with Heat by Jon Renau being my second. So, we’re still getting acquainted. But, the more I reach for her, the more comfortable I’m becoming wearing her. I’ve been suffering hair loss for ten years since having a radical hysterectomy due to uterine cancer. So, to have a thick and healthy head of hair, via wigs, has been a wonderful experience. I loved most of the reviews of this wig. But my experience wasnt soo good. The fiber texture was bad & the curl pattern was very different one side from the ither. It wasn't neccessary to try it on. I knew this was very diffrrent than the reviews. There are many great wigs but this particular wig dissapointed me greatly. I sent it back immediately. This is the beginning of my journey so my issues may be just that I am starting this journey kicking and screaming. I know all the YouTube reviewers say this is wonderful and fun but it isn't what I want to do – I wish my bio hair looked like this wig. It is lovely – soft and flattering for probably anyone. However, I may still return, I have tried in on for a bit several days in a row, still not sure. These may be things I just have to live with now that I have to do this to have normal 'hair'. 1.) Lace front – if I do keep this one, I will NEVER buy a lace front again. Unfortunately, it is very hard to find a nice, well made hairpiece without it because everyone else seems to love lace front – NOT ME. I don't like that you cannot pull your bio hair out from under (I know that it is great if you have no hair, but I have plenty around my face and would like to incorporate – Sincerely Yours by RW was perfect but too short). And though it DOES look very nice (I really didn't think it would look so realistic, it truly looks like a real hairline up close), it is HORRIBLY itchy. Like stiff, itchy netting and I can't wait to take it off. Maybe if I try gluing it won't itch so much? 2. I TOO much hair, as with most all of the hair pieces. While I can make this one work because it thankfully isn't LOADED up with that fake feeling/looking permatease (I know some people love it, I do NOT on me), it is still GOBS of hair. I push my hair behind my ears and I would have to have massive ears to fit the gobs falling in front of my face behind my ear; it is like trying to tuck a large rope behind my ear. Not sure why manufacturers think someone who has had hair loss or very thin hair all of the sudden will feel comfortable with a wooly mammoth strapped tightly to their raw noggin. Again, this one could be okay because I could take thinning shears to it and make it work if I keep this wig. 3. Speaking of the front bit… as other reviewers remarked, OMG does it want to go in your face. I don't want to use any product or heat on it yet because I am not sure I am keeping it so VERY difficult to tell if it will work because that is absolutely a problem. Would probably have to thin and cut that into layers – it is very pretty but no one goes around with a big chunk of hair hanging down like that all day. All of the hair on the cap is geared to go absolutely FORWARD, not sure why. It is something that would have to be worked out with heat, water and product. 4. Cap construction – Not super comfortable. Again, this is all new to me so maybe I am doing something wrong. I am using a wig grip so not sure if that adds to my discomfort. I will say that the seams around the mono part are thick and itchy. I would rather a whole mono top or a basic cap, rather than that seamed bit. Too much going on in the cap. So – if you are a regular wig wearer, this style will probably work for you; I am just not use to all these itches and things going on my head. Sort of like a pretty but uncomfortable underwire bra – you can deal but can't wait to get it off at the end of the day – that is how it feels for me. If this had the cap of the Sincerely Yours, I would have found my piece. Again, not sure if I am returning or not, but it is so expensive for me, for them not to be spot on. I need something that looks like ME and I can wear every day and it looks like normal, non-poufy, non-shiny hair and isn't going to rub my ear or itch my head, etc. I am probably hoping for too much. 🙁LJT

Cap is so comfortable. I had to cut on the bangs a little because they went directly into my eyes. However! The color more than made up for it. The eggplant shade is absolutely beautiful and perfect for the fall season! If your bio hair is or was brown and you are looking for brown yet with a twist of pow…. Choose this color! I‘m a huge Raquel Welch wigs fan, it’s my favorite brand. And I had my eyes on this style for a while and think the stock photo looks fabulous. But it’s my first and last style in regular synthetic. I love the True2Life HD fibers by Raquel Welch, they look and feel like human hair. But these are just extremely shiny and it has a lot of hair! The color Glazed Sand is really nice and the lace front on this style is impeccable, and as this was my first unrooted color, it’s even better and more undetectable than the rooted colors. But everyone tells me that this style looks like an old woman and I‘m just too young to look that old… 😅 Of course Wigstudio1 is not to blame, their service was first class, as always!Sarah C.

Well, I finally learned my lesson. I cannot purchase clearance items any longer since every time I have, there has been something either wrong with the wig (manufacturing) or something I didn't like and there are no returns. There wasn't anything wrong with this piece. She just had way too much hair and the fibers were so dry they were like straw. It is a beautiful warm color but the density, the permatease and the dry fibers made this difficult to pull off. I thinned it out and tried to tame the permatease but it just didn't work. Plus, the fibers were like doll hair and so that was a dead giveaway. This was the third JR piece and all have pretty dry fibers. Is this normal? I am a first time buyer, trying to figure out what fits and how to wear the wigs. I ordered 3 wigs in this first order, and two of them I can adjust and work with. But "Gwen" has very short hair and it looks nothing like the pictures! I had it on my head for a few seconds and couldn't stand the very short hair with no shape at all. It looked like a hedgehog, The color is nice, but this wig is too small, too short hair for my plus size figure: Gwen Wig by Jon Renau STRAWBERRY BLONDE AND WARM PLATINUM BLONDE BLENDED & TIPPED W STRAWBERRY BLONDE NAPE (27T613F). In all fairness, I only had it on my head a few seconds and took it off right away, I didn't try to make it look better, afraid to ruin the chance for return. It might be ok for someone else, but at 62 yrs old and plus size figure, that little wig was not even funny! I filled out the return label for "Gwen" but keeping the other two, with medium length hair: "Blushing Beauty" Wig by Gabor | Mono Part GL16/27 and the "Salsa" Wig by Raquel Welch | Large Cap R14/88H Golden Wheat. Those two are a bit large and I need to learn to adjust the tabs in the back, and I also need to figure out from the videos how to "style" them with my fingers so they look good for me. This is a cute summer wig for someone who doesn't want permatese. It's low density. I got 22F16 there is not enough dimension for me but I do feel someone looking for a well made no permatese, low density piece would be very happy with it. I did have lots of thick hair & I like some poof on top.I was going to give it away but it is growing on me using dry shampoo,piece out & hair spray. Even tho it's symmetrical you can achieve a asymmetrical look with some tucking. I have noticed many reviews/comments on various pieces that I feel expectations are often unrealistic. Let's face it we all don't look like the beautiful ladies,Eileen,Marlen or Taz much less the models. I have found often if I think I don't like something if I change my makeup,color I'm wearing wait a few days,wear it around the house,often one I thought I would send back grows on me. Also often they just need a bit of tweaking with a small trim here & there to make it my own. I imagine very few can just take most of them out of the box with INSTANT SUCCESS ! I bought this wig as an alternate to the Soft and Subtle so it would look like I striaghtened my hair. The style is straight and classy, can be easily fluffed up for a different look. I used some Jon Renau Piece Out cream to style the side bang to stand up rather than lie flat over my forehead – easy to do and it looks so modern and natural that way. I also can put the hair behind my ears without it causing my ears to stick out because the denier is fine. The wig can also be styled in a half up/half down. The color I have is GL8-10. This is the 4th wig I have ever purchased. My first HD fiber and Raquel Welch. I've heard some things about the HD fiber and I chose this one because it sits above the shoulders and I can heat style it or not. This is a beautiful and comfortable wig. The fibers feel a lot like real hair. the cap construction is amazing. It's a perfect fit. I have a very petite face and my biological hair used to be huge and wavy and this wig has a lot of hair. I thinned it out easily on my own with thinning shears and it is fine. The thing I like about this wig is the versatility. I can wear it behind any ear away from the face or pinned up. It parts virtually anywhere and I part it in the middle and work it up the side. Very comfortable and the sides and back provide natural coverage. The wefting is NOT thin or cheap. I have chosen not to heat style it because the layers are very face framing. I loved my Envy Delaney but this may be my new go to wig. *Also I got this in 5/27. I don't really care for the color. The underneath in the front is orange and does look really fake pulled back. So cute! Ok I am new to all this. Thinning and receding hairline all my life has now led to patches of balding (hereditary). I tried the top wave hair piece but the clips left my scalp red and so sore. So I researched for weeks. I actually purchased Heidi, Rachel and Julianne made by JR. Heidi had weird bangs for me and the permatease in the crown made my little head look too big lol…Rachel so comfy but wayyyy too much hair for me..Julianne I just didn’t like the style on me…but love it on others…Mila! Adorable! I am still In search of the perfect blonde. I got the Laguana blonde . I am a very light natural blonde. However, the roots are still so harsh for me as my roots don’t come in so dark like that so for this reason I mixed in my own bio hair at hairline..but even so…I LOVE IT! Waiting for honey syrup and 24b22 blonde to come in and try them for Fall. The wig cap doesn’t itch, it’s very secure:) I get so many compliments. I did use dry shampoo spray for shininess. It’s beautiful..my hair is not normally this light as the Laguana color is but that’s okay. I will switch it up with a darker blonde Mila for Fall:) I have tried many and I keep coming back to Mila:) p.s. In this picture I blended my own hair in the front and sides as well:)Angie

I was pleasantly surprised by the color, and natural look of this wig. I’m undergoing chemo and wanted something cute and sassy and casual. Because I’m not sure of my future and not sure if I’d be comfortable wearing a wig, I didn’t want to invest too much in one until I knew how it would work. I love Kristen FS26/31S6. It is my go to wig. I have my bio hair but due to Chronic illness, it wears me out to fix it. Bio hair is also very very thin on top now. I would give her 5 stars… however for me, the lace does irritate the skin after a couple hours. I am a redhead with very sensitive skin. Also, I have ordered several of this same wig, and they all have a little variance to them. I have learned how wigs are made and why that is. It is not a machine producing exact replicas. So, I fuss with them until they fit right. I'm sad to see the price going up on everything. I just bought a darker color Kristen for the first time . It has less Blonde for winter. I hope I like it.Amanda

Omg.. how come I did not know about this website?! I wasted hundreds of dollars over cheap wigs from nearby stores to my house😖 After finding out about this online store a couple weeks ago, I finally decided to give it a try… although pricey, but tbh- these wigs hold their value at that price. You can barely tell it’s a wig! It looks super natural! It’s super soft! I just love it like a pet! 😂 One downside I would say is that it’s very sensitive to heat… I wore it the first day, and I was baking some goodies… and I opened the oven up and hot air swooshed in my face and I heard my poor new wig crunch! Yes it’s my fault- but it makes me wonder how long it can stay before drying up and becoming a complete bird’s nest when worn on hot summer days. Over all- I’d give it 4.5 stars… reason being is because it’s too sensitive to heat.Noor

I own many Kristens in different colors. Really a great style and comfortable cap. I had a really hard time debating on Kristen and Jamison and now that I have both I must say I much prefer Kristen. The face framing layers are great on my round face. I am sure the permatease is mentioned in many reviews and yes it's there but it's not bad. Rather than trying to press it down if you use a wide tooth comb to lift the hair up you won't really see it. Also before you started wearing wigs how often did you go around inspecting the crowns of stangers heads? When I wear shadded peach I always get compliments on the color and no one ever believes it's a wigJ

I own various Gabor styles and love them all. Really like Gabor's lacefronts as they are so natural and well done. I used to wear timeless beauty a lot but wanted a somewhat shorter similiar style. I purchased this in sunlit chestnut my usually color for Gabor. It's a very pretty classic looking bob. It is indeed shorter then timeless beauty and swingier. Like most wigs with long sideswept bangs it does tend to flop in my face but i will steam and train it and wear a clip. It's a very beautiful style and happy with my purchase.Jennifer G.

Soft & Subtle in GL 6-30 was my first foray into beachy waves, and I love her! There's a little bit of permatease at the top, but not much, so she doesn't seem too "wiggy" for me. I wish that the curls were a bit more structured – I wouldn't necessarily wear her for a special occasion – but she's great for an unfussy, casual look. She comes across as very natural, as if I'd just stepped out of the shower and I had wavy hair that just dried that way, so I feel comfortable wearing her for day-to-day activities. I have a 21.75-inch circumference, and the petite-average fits well with just a little extra room at the crown; an average-large would definitely have been too large for me. Overall, I think she's a great everyday style for someone who is seeking a relaxed, informal look and wants to experiment with something wavy at a reasonable price point (especially with discounts).Patricia L.

This wig looks amazing out of the box! The curls are perfect, the color options are great, and it looks very natural. Most people don't even realize I'm wearing a wig unless they know to look for it. For weeks, it will look fantastic (I get more compliments than I did when I had bio hair). However, the hair is extremely long and fine so it does tend to become frizzy quickly. You can maintain the hair with careful washing, storage and a handheld streamer to help uncurl the frizz. Time will take it's toll though. This is a tough wig to wear as an everyday wig unless you want to replace it fairly often or you have a lot of skill with keeping a wig looking it's best.Kayla C.

This is to correct the review I just did on 2/02/22. I didn't click on the five stars so I don't know how that happened! It took putting clips on the bangs for a couple of weeks with some product before they started to respond. The top is flat with no movement and so far I haven't had much luck trying to get some separation or movement in it. The blonde color is perfect! 22-1001-R8. The back is also cute but if I can't do anything with the top, it will be a loss. This is not a heat defiant fiber but if anyone can tell me how to get some shape and movement on the top, so it isn't completely flat, I think it would be a really cute wig on. I'm a petite/average and there is some bag in the cap so not a perfect fit for me.Carolyn L.

Purchased in the ginger brown. To me it mostly looks like a medium brown and I don’t see much ginger. I do want to say that for a basic Wig, this is very realistic and natural in both look and feel. It is the perfect shortcut that you wish your natural hair would always do. Bouncy, layered, stacked, with a perfect shape that stays in place. I think it’s really super cute and realistic especially if you purchase it in your natural hair color nobody would know it’s not your real hair. It feels very soft like real hair. It also has a real flirty look to it. It reminds me a lot of Sweet talk by Gabor. Fits me nicely and I have a 23 inch head. Highly recommended.Emily
