After I received my order it was apparent that the color was just not a good one for me. I had ordered two wigs, both the same color and found that in person they were just very fake and not a natural look at all. I sent them back and then after reading the instruction found that over half the amount I paid for them was to be deducted due to the various charges they put on returns. A few months ago, I ordered the "Alex" wig. I love it! I ordered a second one so that I would always have it ready. While the first one was – and stil is – perfect, the second one is straggly and sloppy looking. When I first took it out of the box and followed directions (shaking, etc,) it looked ok. I put it aside til I could get a styrofoam head. Once I put it on that, it showed itself. I cannot wear it. I have not worn it. Unfortunately, I did take the tag off when I thought it was going to be ok. Please take it back and send me one that looks like the first one.Rosemary
I received the wig in a couple of weeks of ordering..I tried it on but it kept slipping off my head. The velcro tapes were set to the tightest setting. I took the wig to my hairdresser thinking it should be cut as the style was so weird.. She told me to wash it first in fairly hot water so some of the crushing from shipping would come out.. Seriously after wearing it for 30 seconds it looked like I was a cone head!! The inside just above the bangs there is a circle of heavy knit capping.. Not the stretch lace like the rest of the wig liner is made from…This is advertised as a whisper lite wig?…My head dripped with sweat in a few minutes as it just does not breathe the same as my other wigs? My hairdresser suggested it not be cut but to somehow get it made smaller. I have Alopecia so have bought and worn wigs for some years. I have always had wigs come with a stretchy lace type liner with metal adjustable clips on the elastic straps. I live in Canada so not an option to return the wig with the high postage, tax paid and the exchange rate…. So I bought some crazy glue to cinch up the elastic tapes making them shorter.. that was a total mess as the glue did not adhere the same as my other many wigs have done when the elastic stretched out.. I then pinched the material together to sew it on each side to tighten to fit my head.. I have always worn an average size wig… This one with that hard thick cone or dome inside was something else!!! Why did I take the added expense of a hairdresser as well as buying the glue?? The color of the wig and the style now that I have the cap fitting properly suits me to no end!! I look stunning in it and it looks like my own hair. My hairdresser says it does not look at all like a wig….So I made all of these compromises! I suggest that they make this Wig in all sizes so we don't have to glue or sew our fingers trying to make them smaller than Average. Nora is a delightful fluff and go style with waves and almost curls. I got it in color 38, which is light ash brown with grey. It is supposed to be light ash brown with 25 percent grey (it seems a bit more than that;) It would be nice if Paula Young had at least one style featured in this color. The ash brown is very close to my natural color (a bit lighter) but Nora has more grey than I do personally. Nora arrived smelling absolutely wretched; I almost gagged when I opened the box. I had to wash the wig immediately. I used Paula Young shampoo. I thought I detected the (fumigant?) odor even after the wash, but when Nora dried, she no longer smelled. When I first put her on after she'd dried she was not pretty and the curls were mashed against the cap. I shook her vigorously and then took a wide tooth comb and really brought the fibers up off the cap. I wasn't rough, but I was deliberate in going over the entire wig to revive the fibers. I was able to achieve a style very similar to the catalog photo. In my photos, Nora has a more shag-like appearance, but once on she can be fluffed to the rounded silhouette of the catalog photo. Nora fits my 22.25 inch head comfortably and could be adjusted to go even a bit larger, or smaller. I find the fibers dry to the touch and just a bit coarser than my own very fine hair (although Nora's fiber does not look coarse.) Nora is comfortable to wear and an adorable style that goes with dressy as well as casual outfits. If you are prepared to spend a few moments waking Nora up after you first get her home, I think you will be pleasantly surprised at her fluff and go versatility. When this DANCE wig and COLOR ME EXQUISITE wigs arrived, upon removing them from the box they were cute, and the colors were pretty and the best thing they had going for them, However, they didn't look much like the ones the models in the pictures wore. And there is too much perma tease or "fluff" to them. They had really no style to them at all. Especially in the front, just couldn't do much with them. And didn't want to try since being careful with them is a must when trying them on. Very disappointed with these wigs. In my humble opinion they were not great and not keepers. So I am returning them and probably won't buy anymore wigs again. Sorry PY but your wigs need to be lighter weight, lay nicer, (some of us like a bit flatter style) far less perma tease or fluff, easier to wear right out of the box…Thanks anyway…Juanita
I am completely disappointed with my purchase. I ordered two of this wig because I really like the look of the style in the picture. The wigs I received will not comb into the style shown. The top is spiked and will only stand straight up and the bangs stick straight out and will not lay nicely against the forehead. I tried to tame it down with wig spray and hair gel but it won't lay down. The top hair stands straight up and the bangs stick straight out. The wig will not comb into a nice smooth pixie like the picture shows. I would not recommend a person buy this wig unless you want spiked hair that stands straight up at the top of your head and bangs that stick straight out at your forehead. I actually have this wig in multiple colors. This brand is very cheap but I love it. I usually have to do some plucking of it before wearing it but it’s totally worth it for the price and the feel. Most of their wigs are around 20 dollars. This brand always has lace on the front every time I have bought a wig from them. I purchased the Carla and Ace wigs a few weeks back only to finally receive them with such disappointment. They both were flipped inside, out. Both appeared to have been altered with scissors. Carla had NO curls. I ordered WIG SHOP'S Zoe wig about two years ago and received it the same way, flipped inside, out. It too looked like it had literally been ran over multiple times by highway traffic. I decided to keep them because I blame myself after ordering Zoe. Won't be a third time! The wig looks nothing like the one advertised. It does not have the multi layers 7-8 layers shown in the picture. There are possibly 4 very wide layers . It is not a yaki texture of hair as advertised. It is very shiny and artificial in appearance. It looks like a wig! The bottom of the wig flips up when it is shown as a shag affect (a tapered downward curl. The bottom portion of the wig is sparse. It looks like hair is missing not like a feathered affect. I wrote with a question and you were kind enough to respond to my concerns. One was that I wanted to get more curl definition and thought I could use a curling iron but you advised against it. However, no alternative was offered. I started looking at and considering this wig when it sold for $29.99. It has steadily increased in the clearance price. Now it is up to $39.99! The experience has soured me on buying wigs online- which is unfortunate as the actual brick and mortar shops have shutdown during the pandemic. Even before, the shops were in decline. I thought it pretty safe to buy from a company associated with the product line of Diahann Carroll. And also the product itself would be quality and true to the descriptors used. I was considering 2 other wigs but have decided to go another way. Great photo but not the wig received. You should share this review with the Diahann Carroll folks. I saw this wig on a friend and it was very becoming to her. I love the color of my wig. It’s light brown with golden bronze highlights. I was a little uncomfortable with the tight curls, but I pulled it out in the front to make bangs. I received so many compliments I started to feel comfortable. did not like the tight curls. I thought they would be much looser. the color was perfect. I was also susrprised at all the additional taxes that brought the price up much more than I expected. I do know there are taxes on the merchandise. I had already cut the tags off the wig and did not realize it could be returned. I chose the auburn color which is complementary to my skin tone. The pops of brown and blonde add some interest. Most over the counter wigs are too tight on my head and by the end of the day I have a headache. But this one fits excellently. I like the fact that where hooks usually are this one has Velcro. I actually have this unit in other colors (1&1B/30) but the F2060 did it for me. When I saw the color I was a little intimidated by it online but something would not let place this order without getting another Miko in this color. I put her on and did notice quite a bit of shedding more than the other Mikos I've had in the past. I just assumed that with more color the more shedding you will have. I think its a little bit thinner made than the others but I just worked with what I had because honestly I didn't want to send her back because it's that pretty. That didn't stop me from rocking her though. If you are thinking of getting the F2060 GET HER especially with spring being here.This unit in this color is something to brighten up things as it did for me. 🙂StarLuvsBH
I love this wig. I have naturally curly hair (tighter coil) but my sister thought it was mine!! At first I shaped and thinned the hair out, but now I feel more comfortable rocking it right out the packaging! I ordered like 3 of these at the same time, and received 2 different hair textures. The original was more of a synthetic feeling, while the second felt more soft and real, kanekelon maybe? I don't have a lot of experience to give better details on texture. But they are both still lovely! I packed, or smushed into suitcase, one of the older, synthetic-feeling, ones to wear in the pool, it was frizzy and needed some tlc, but came out looking (and smelling) fabulous!! Just rinsed out the chlorine in the shower, hung it on the door knob!
