I have to admit, The Sheer Drama wig that I received a couple weeks ago or less, was my first disappointment. The cap is so sheer, that you can see dark hand tied knots a lot through the top. The wig color is Platinum 101. The dark knots actually made me squeamish! They looked like it had lice throughout it!! This would be a good wig for someone who is not new to wearing wigs. Straight out of the box the wig had a strong plastic like smell. After washing the smell was much less, but still there. Hoping this will fade with time. I have a large head but took a chance and ordered this anyway (average size). It fits very comfortably. The description says ""100% hand tied"". It is not. The top half is hand tied, the bottom half is sewn wefts. The hair is thick enough to be styled in a messy updo. The hand tied knots,on the top, are not bleached. If you order a medium to dark color it shouldn't be a big problem. If you are a light color you will need to camouflage them. This is not a lace front. There is a fabric band across the hairline that will make styling challenging. This would be a very comfortable wig if you had little to no hair. My mom gave Solana to me, because she wasn’t really feeling the color on her. I was so excited to receive this and try something new. I've been wearing Reese and Sky for a few years now, but wanted to switch it up a bit. I was so disappointed when I saw this. First, it looked like doll hair and the color was AWFUL! I normally wear either Irish Spice or Bronzed Brown. I ordered R3025S+ this time for a "highlighted" look, boy was I wrong. It looked like carrot orange. Well, lesson learned, stick with old faithful.Catherine I.
I loved the look of this wig but was hesitant to buy because of all of the bad reviews. There really are no wigs that look great right out of the box. All wigs need some sort of help. Here’s what I recommend when getting a new wig: take it out of the box and give it a good shake. Put it on and adjust the fit, ear tabs, and general placement. Finger comb it into place and then walk away. Stay away from any mirrors for at least 30 minutes or longer and don’t mess with it. This is important because when you do look in the mirror again you have “fresh eyes”. It will be easier to be more objective and not just reactive. At this point you can focus on what you do and don’t like and determine if the don’t likes are ‘fixable’. Change the part if needed, if there is too much poof, wet it down and finger comb. Don’t do any permanent modifications until you decide if you want to keep it. But give yourself time to evaluate the wig properly. For this wig, I wet the top, used my fingers to make a deep side part sweeping the bangs across my forehead and flattened down some of the poofiness on the top then left it alone to dry. I am 68 and have been wearing wigs pixie wigs for many years, but want a new wig with a little more fullness. I absolutely love this new wig and would recommend it to anyone. Unlike many of the other wigs that do not even resemble the pictures of the wig they purchased, this one looks exactly like the pictures on QVC. I only have one small complaint. The Med Red/Ginger is NOT red. It is more like a light brown with a little bit of red in it. There are a lot of us natural redheads that would love a short brighter red wig, such as Rachel Welch wig color "Glazed Fire". I would like to suggest that Hairdo and QVC start offering more wigs that are a brighter red for their redheaded customers. Even though I'm not thrilled with the color, I will keep the wig because it is very complementary to my face.grammiecc

This wig came with the hairnet ripped and barely on the wig, which looked like it had just been thrown helter-skelter into the box. The wig had obviously been worn – it was stretched out (and my head is 22 3/8"!), the bangs were bent out of shape, it was frizzy and there was product in it…. This was a final clearance sale wig so I couldn't return it – but I still think that WigStudio1 should not have sold a wig in this condition… I wonder if they'll print this review…Maggie M.
I wish the bangs were swept and light. It was more a layered blunt bang. The hair was very soft and the permatease is minimal. I liked Lasting Impression better even though it had permatease all over since the look mimicked my own hair. The hair in the front was easy to tame and didn't fall in my face either. Can't wait to see Fashion Staple by Gabor next incase I want a longer look that I can custom trim. It looks like a longer version of Lasting Impression with flipped, frizzy (probably dry) ends. I tried Stepping Out since I was getting tired of hair falling out of control in my face… with most long wigs without bangs. But I didn't like the bangs on me, but they might be good for someone else. The cap was very comfortable. Finally found my natural synthetic color in 10/12 after 4+ years of searching RW, LF, Envy, Amore, etc. If you describe you hair color as Medium Brown (without any reddish tones near the root… but you see very slight reddish midway down to the ends due to sun exposure)… You also see goldish mixed in with slight reddish midway down your hair to the ends, try a Gabor style in 10/12. This wig is a great wig. I bought it in color 6/33 It was a bit lighter than I expected due to colors so theroughly blended. I was expecting more 6 and less 33. Still a nice color.. Fit is a little large , but average is a bit too small. I think I have felt with the problem bo sewing in clips at the base of the back. . Hair fiber density is nice. I deal with flyaways with a spritz fine mist water. I only use a wide tooth comb and spray it with leave- in conditioner. The part is realistic. The only way this wig could be better is if it had a full mono top and perhaps a lace front. I have this wig in the platinum blood as well. I'm still searching for the perfect dark brown with dark auburn highlights.Kay B.

This is a step above a costume wig. A fun style but the quality of this wig is very poor. If you want a wig that you can wear frequently and looks natural, I would suggest you invest in a better, designers wig such as Jon Renau or Ellen Wille. The cost is several times greater, but still, for $200, you can purchase a gorgeous wig that you will enjoy. I tried to save money and bought a bargain wig, and then I had to pay for shipping to return it. I knew as soon as I opened the box that this synthetic wig was more of a "fun wig" to wear a couple of times. I love Vogue Wigs but not this Lexington Bob by Forever Young
Part was really weird and didn’t fit on my head at all. I guess there was a reason this wig was so cheap!
I buy a lot of cheap wigs and this is the worst one at this price point. The cap doesn’t lay flat on my head but comes to a point, it’s very itchy, you can’t use heat so the bangs can’t be straightened (mine came with a curl to them), and when I went to trim the bangs I realized the entire haircut was uneven (I’m a hairstylist). I evened the cut but one side has less hair to it and the hair at the nape won’t lay down, just sticks out awkwardly, so there’s only so much I could do. It was also very shiny. If you want a project, something to put a lot of work into (without being able to use heat) than go for it, but I would not recommend this wig.Melissa
