I was at a bachelorette last summer and one of the girls had these extensions and they looked great. When I saw Ulta had them I figured I'd give them a try. They did not disappoint. So easy to use and surprisingly comfortable, I forget they're in half the time. The color was a little brighter/warmer than my own so I made a purple shampoo bath (using shimmer lights shampoo) and put them in for about 15 seconds to tone them. I also use the color wow root spray on the top of them to blend nicely with my darker roots. I've tried a lot of extensions and these are the best so far.Rebecca S.
Pros: very easy to apply, great concept Cons: feels, looks and smells like synthetic hair. The instructions indicate the hair comes with a protective chemical coat, but if this is 100% human hair, why would you add something that is going to make the hair look, feel and smell like synthetic hair. I'm guessing it's potentially a mix of natural and synthetic hairs. I ordered the Espresso and the hair strands are very thick. If you have fine hair this won't work for you. My hair is thick so it might pass as my own hair. To this company: please stop ruining natural hair with chemical substances and leave it natural (if it's actually 100% human). Soaking the extensions in hair moisturizer treatments after washing them, using heat protectant or non heat styling methods should be enough. If these extensions are not 100% human hair, then be ethic and make them of 100% human hair as stated in product.EC
I bought these for my wedding and to have for special occasions. The color "butterscotch" matched my hair perfectly. They hold style really well and blend with my natural hair. I do agree with another review that they feel almost like Barbie hair versus human hair but for the price and my first set of extensions, I'm satisfied. Only two cons: the clips sometimes pop back open and I can't get them to stay closed. And my hair is relatively thin and fine so I have to work hard to keep the tufts and clips/Seam hidden. So ridiculously pleased with this topper, it's given me back my confidence and I genuinely feel like a new person. Went for the dark brown, 4.7 inch * 5 inch base, 12 inches long. The quality is exceptional, the silk base makes it look like genuine hair because the parting looks so realistic. I was scared about dyeing the topper to match my own hair colour incase it wrecked it, so I took the topper to my hairdresser and she matched my bio hair exactly to the topper, and she also cut it into shape for me too. Feel completely confident that no one would know I'm wearing a topper. Having looked at the extortionate prices on other websites, this piece is a genuine bargain as silk bases usually cost hundreds. After going back and forth between blonde and dark hair one too many times my bangs and face framing layers were so damaged they had to be cut off quite short. I needed something to cover these areas while my hair grows back. I spent over a month trying to find the right solution. This was absolutely the right one! I am in love with it and I just may continue wearing it even after my hair grows back. It has plenty of hair to fill in the top and front. There's hair in the back that helps to blend in with my natural hair. I did cut the front so it frames my face. I'd originally planned to cut actual bangs but I think it looks so natural as is that I don't think I will. I do think they'd be even more natural looking that way. My only complaint is that I think the clips need to be larger to accommodate the hair underneath. They've popped open a few times too. I may sew in different ones myself. Overall I think this is a great solution for people trying to grow out bangs or those with thinning hair on the front or sides. The color I got was 12FS8 Shaded Praline. It was slightly ashy but I toned it so it is a slightly warmer tone now.Lindsey
This topper is the best hair piece I have…I now own 5 of them…as a professional have to have hair ready all the time. I has perfect coverage for bangs, I also use two easi volumes with them to make a fuller up do of which I clip up. They are easy to care for, set it like my own hair and a have a fluffier bang.
