My natural hair is a similar texture to this wig and I recently got a haircut I wasn't happy with. I bought this wig on a whim hoping for something decent considering the price. I have to say when I first pulled her out the bag I was skeptical. But after triming some babyhairs, laying down edges, a little concealer and A Lot of fluffing, I acheived something I liked.. And others liked too. I got many compliments and people thought this was my natural hair. I have to say the quality of the lace is great and the placement of the clips really help secure it down. Although I did add an extra clip in the back 🙂 overall great wig! Everything was great except the color. I ordered a 27/26 thinking obviously it was going to be dyed like my own hair with the darker color at the bottom and the lighter color one toward the ends, but no… It's the opposite and blond in the back at the nape with the darker color on top. I've been rocking the many variations and colors of Drew since I cut my dreadlocks off in 2011! Love it! I've done other hairstyles and tried other wigs in between but nothing beats the style and look of Drew. People always think it's my real hair. I bought this one in Nov in 1B/Purple and didn't cut it like many have been doing. I don't typically do that right at the beginning unless the wig doesn't look good out the bag. I just cut a little baby hairs and kept it moving. I also put a little face powder in the part because I find the Drew/Beshe lace is always a shiny compared to other brands. Right out the gate 2 people asked what products I use in my hair to get it so nice and curly, haha. It lasted a month and a half and started getting matted in the back from wearing scarves and sweating, etc. pretty quickly but more ridiculous in the last week or so. I would trim off those parts because it seriously looked like matted Barbie hair, lol, so now I'm going to cut it altogether, in a short style. I wish they made this unit in human hair.

My review of this wig is much like everyone else. Initially I loved it. Super soft and flowed nicely. But literally within a few wears it began to clump and just get matted quite easily on the ends. I actually didnt buy this wig because it was HD, I wanted it because of the length and style it already was. I would have much prefered it to have been regular synthetic. I have only washed it once using Jon Renau products /HD detangler and its so-so. My regular synthetic wigs become so beautiful again after a gentle wash and proper leave in spray. I think the HD fibre is a miss but the no shine factor is a plus. Jon Renau wigs tend to fit a bit loose on me so if youre more petite size you'll want to take that into consideration. It has a nice density though I did thin it out slightly but that is just because I have a small frame and most all of my wigs need to be thinned. It really is a nice style and I would love to have more of this unit if it was regular synthetic.Ashley B.
Unfortunately, I have been quite disappointed with this wig. I have only myself to blame that I’ve purchased it 2-3 times – it’s just that I really like the style, the cut, the comfort. As mentioned repeatedly in these reviews, I have also found it to fail expectations. It is great for the first handful of wearings – until it starts to become tangled and ratty in the back. And it only progresses to get worse from there. For me, it’s been the whole length and width of the back. There is little that can be done at that point. At least, not that I’ve found. There are pros and cons to all hair fibers including human hair. if you haven't already tried the HD Smooth by Jon Renau we recommend you try that to de-frizz and repair any current unruliness. You can also take thin sections and flat iron the hair to smooth out the frizz. With wear these signs will return but styling and maintaining will allow you several months of wear. This adorable bob is so fun and perfect for summer. It's my first blonde wig so I decided to try the 12FS8 Shaded Praline. I usually wear brunette colors and the dark root is a easy way to transition to the blondes! Ignite is SO SOFT the HD fibers are beautiful and not as much shine as the regular synthetic fibers. I have not used any heat on her yet because the cut is so perfect the way it is. Ear tabs are a little short on me and this only matters because I have a shaved head so I like the coverage, but the style frames the face in a great way that it works.
