Purchased this for my 8 year old grand daughter for Christmas. She absolutely loves it!! I chose this one because she can grow with it!! I love the parent controls on this. She started in safe mode 8 mph and she quickly moved to beginner mode up to 18 mph. This is perfect for her. There are still two more levels she can grow into. The primary reason I chose this was for the length of time she can ride it between charges! She has just ridden it a couple times but has never ran out of a charge and she is on it at least an hour so far! Yes I paid alittle more for her go kart but was truly worth it! No problems just fun! I highly recommend a ninebot for your child. I purchased her a $1500 power car last year and it was a piece of junk. This is great for a child that is too tall for the power cars!!!!Ronda L.
I bought 2 of these cars from 2 different retailers. Best Buy is not the issue. The car has 2 potential problems either the battery will stop charging or the electronics in the front of the car will stop connecting, disabling the car. This is happening to both my cars. The biggest problem is Segway will not help with this issue. They require the entire car to be shipped to them costing 350.00 to ship and you have to pack it. Bought two off these and wrecked one. Contacted support because the power button stopped working. The Ninebot Max component wasnt even damaged in the accident so it didnt make sense. Support sent me a steering wheel and ghosted me. The unit itself is awesome. Segway support is awful and not reflective of a 2k product. I didnt expect anything for free but at least provide technical info or a link to buy replacement parts. I now essentially have a $2000 paperweight in my garage

There can't be any drive that is more fun than this one. It's an ultimate dream for all kids to have a go-kart at home and there can't be any other go-kart than this. To start with, the assembly was easy, I was able to put it all together in about 30 mins, instructions are clear and simple. The important thing is to charge the go-kart for at least 10 hours before the initial use. All the while I was in the process of getting this all done my daughter wasn't able to hold on to her excitement and wanted to ride it immediately after the assembly. The go-kart looks are classic and seek immediate attention in the neighborhood. It has 3 different speed settings to let the child adjust to the increasing speed with each one. The hand brake lets the kid control the speed instantly and easily. The flag is really a good feature to enhance the visibility for the car riders. The good thing is that the seat is adjustable and grows with the kid and makes it durable for a longer duration. My daughter is extremely ecstatic to ride this daily. Initially, she was a little scared to ride it around the community so she started off in the backyard. Slowly she gained confidence and was ready to take it out on the road. It is safe for kids but ensure to keep the helmet on. Almost after a week, she now considers herself to be a pro and wants to try a higher speed go-kart. She is on cloud 9 after owning this and wants her friends to get one for them too. I received this product from Radio Flyer for review purposes. However, all opinions are my own.
Radio Flyer provided our family with this item to test. When the box arrived, it was definitely heavy, but manageable. Unboxing was very simple, everything slid out in one tug, all the parts are placed inside the frame which is nice, Keeps it all together. Everything was individually bagged which imho was not necessary. During assembly I appreciated the straight forward instructions and simplicity. Not lots of screws or bolts to put it. Required basic tools which I had. My gripe with assembly only was that when tightening the tires you are required to use two wrenches simultaneously, which was challenging since I built it all myself. More of a two person task at that point. Probably took me about 30-45 mins total for assembly. My 6 and 8 year old were thrilled to see it and the 8 year old was drifting on 3rd speed in no time. Really excited to use it more with them in open space. I was able to ride it myself as a 175lb adult but obviously would not regularly, but nice to know it can handle the weight. Built very solid. Curious to see how the wheels hold up with the drifting. I really appreciate the ability to charge the battery by simply plugging in the charger to the car, my other battery cars required removal of the extremely heavy battery which was ridiculous. I also like the power on and off switch, I find it keeps it safe so kids can’t unexpectedly hit the gas and take off.MeganD
I was provided an Ultimate Go-Kart from Radio Flyer for review of my experience. I can’t believe how cool this go-kart is! My daughter took to it IMMEDIATELY and has an absolute blast cruising around the yard with it. I kept it locked out of the third (fastest) speed for a while because she is only five, so I was concerned it would be too fast to be safe. Eventually I let her try it, and I was pleasantly surprised that it still felt safe, and not too fast to be out of control. Naturally, the third speed is best for “drifting”, so now our driveway is hilariously full of black tire marks. (The tires are plastic, not rubber, so the marks really don’t stay on long, phew!) I also really like that the kart is battery operated, so we just plug it in when we are done and let it charge back up for next time. In our experience so far, we have cruised way up the street and back (probably at least a half mile distance) without even losing any charge so it SEEMS like the battery should last quite a while with no issues. I really prefer it to a gas powered engine because it will not add any cost for extra maintenance (like fuel or other parts that would need to be replaced.) and is much cleaner in the yard. I see some other reviews mentioning faulty parts or manufacturing issues – but that hasn’t been an issue for us whatsoever, and the only thing I can foresee is maybe needing to replace the tires from my child’s crazy spinning on the concrete, which feels like normal wear an tear on such a fun toy! At first I was like “what’s with the lame plastic wheels?” Then I watched my kid take off in the high gear (8mph) and drift like a pro stunt car driver! He loves it! The go kart was lovely but I think they should move the age up because without a parental remote control its dangerous for 3 and 4 year olds in my opinion. My son just smashed the gas without carrying which direction he was going in. He plays in the front yard so we were constantly trying to keep him away from the street. We got this for our son for his 6th birthday and he loves it. It was fairly easy to put together and it looks very nice. Gets good run time for every charge and drives great. It's very fun and the drift feature is everyone's favorite. We've had other ride-on cars for the kids in the past and this one is by far their favorite. The only negative thing I can think of (and it's not a big deal at all) is that we are not fans of the music that comes built in but the kids enjoy it. It's not anything that would deter us from buying this again.Ana A.
