I've had this wig over a year now (15-16 months). I absolutely love the look but even with caring for it and brushing it daily (the days I wore it) the very back gets severely tangled. I will still wear the wig, but only if I want to be bothered with brushing longer than usual. If you wear wigs often I recommend maybe switching wigs out, but either way this is a great wig for the price. Bought it on Amazon for $17 so I can't really complain. I wore everyday for a couple of weeks when I first got it. Then, one day opened the oven door after pre-heating to 425 degrees and fried the front of the wig. I know better than to do this, but it just slipped my mind. I immediately ordered a replacement. It arrived in about 4 days and I have been enjoying ever since. No more cooking for me!! I ordered the wig in the color of my hair and also have the hair stocking about the same color. The hair is thin and the wefting might show thru if you are trying a color that isn't a close match. Otherwise, it is my new favorite!!
Have been wearing this wig for at least 8 yrs…and have tried many other styles, but this I’s my favorite and I keep returning. Have ordered MANY of this particular wig, and will continue. Am concerned though, that the colors are being clearanced….and hope this doesn’t mean that the style is on it’s way out. As your records would show I have purchased many of this exact wig. When I got the first ones I was thrilled with them. They I would definitely have given 5 plus stars. Then I had purchased 2 more when I was concerned the others were wearing out. I thought they were horrible. Not as much hair on one side, colour was not what I had gotten before though the same number and I was planning on returning them but felt the shipping to return plus the shipping and duty I had already paid was not worth it so decided to donate to a women's group. Later I took another chance after complaining to this site and once again they were definitely not up to the standard of the original wigs. It seems to me the quality control was very poor and that because I didn't like them found myself wearing the old ones though they were showing their age. I needed shampoo and conditioner so thought I'd try one final time. Well these were better than the last four that were terrible but still not anywhere near the same standard as the originals. I can't believe that it's the same company creating them as the hair is so much faker than the originals I would love to purchase the ones I had bought the first while but while these I will have to wear when the old ones are simply worn out but will be searching for another site that possibly has this wig

I have ordered several wigs from Paula Young & have been totally satisfied! The customer service is excellent. The prices are very reasonable! I have to admit, The Sheer Drama wig that I received a couple weeks ago or less, was my first disappointment. The cap is so sheer, that you can see dark hand tied knots a lot through the top. The wig color is Platinum 101. The dark knots actually made me squeamish! They looked like it had lice throughout it!! Being an RN, I had to really look closer & touch the lice-looking knots, & confirmed they were NOT Lice. It was advertised as whisper light- yep it’s so light you see through the cap!Bobbi
This would be a good wig for someone who is not new to wearing wigs. Straight out of the box the wig had a strong plastic like smell. After washing the smell was much less, but still there. Hoping this will fade with time. I have a large head but took a chance and ordered this anyway (average size). It fits very comfortably. The description says ""100% hand tied"". It is not. The top half is hand tied, the bottom half is sewn wefts. The hair is thick enough to be styled in a messy updo. The hand tied knots,on the top, are not bleached. If you order a medium to dark color it shouldn't be a big problem. If you are a light color you will need to camouflage them. This is not a lace front. There is a fabric band across the hairline that will make styling challenging. This would be a very comfortable wig if you had little to no hair. If you are willing to spend time working with your wig this could be a good choice for you.Raven
This is my first wig. I did my research, and chose Sheer Drama. I lov the waves and style My hair is long but falling out. I live in South Florida so my hair does not keep any curl in the humidity . Ok I thought perfect, I’ll have a full head of wavy hair and the color is a perfect match. Sadly I have a small head and cannot keep the wig on no matter what I do. I bought a grip but no help. I ordered two of these wig styles. I wore the gray one to a mother's day brunch. As I was standing by my car, a lady called out Madia as she was passing by in her car. I was so excited to receive this and try something new. I've been wearing Reese and Sky for a few years now, but wanted to switch it up a bit. I was so disappointed when I saw this. First, it looked like doll hair and the color was AWFUL! I normally wear either Irish Spice or Bronzed Brown. I ordered R3025S+ this time for a "highlighted" look, boy was I wrong. It looked like carrot orange. Well, lesson learned, stick with old faithful.Catherine I.
I loved the look of this wig but was hesitant to buy because of all of the bad reviews. There really are no wigs that look great right out of the box. All wigs need some sort of help. Here’s what I recommend when getting a new wig: take it out of the box and give it a good shake. Put it on and adjust the fit, ear tabs, and general placement. Finger comb it into place and then walk away. Stay away from any mirrors for at least 30 minutes or longer and don’t mess with it. This is important because when you do look in the mirror again you have “fresh eyes”. It will be easier to be more objective and not just reactive. At this point you can focus on what you do and don’t like and determine if the don’t likes are ‘fixable’. Change the part if needed, if there is too much poof, wet it down and finger comb. Don’t do any permanent modifications until you decide if you want to keep it. But give yourself time to evaluate the wig properly. For this wig, I wet the top, used my fingers to make a deep side part sweeping the bangs across my forehead and flattened down some of the poofiness on the top then left it alone to dry. I’m so happy I didn’t let the bad reviews discourage me. She’s a cute, sassy wig!jnut
I am 68 and have been wearing wigs pixie wigs for many years, but want a new wig with a little more fullness. I absolutely love this new wig and would recommend it to anyone. Unlike many of the other wigs that do not even resemble the pictures of the wig they purchased, this one looks exactly like the pictures on QVC. I only have one small complaint. The Med Red/Ginger is NOT red. It is more like a light brown with a little bit of red in it. There are a lot of us natural redheads that would love a short brighter red wig, such as Rachel Welch wig color "Glazed Fire". I would like to suggest that Hairdo and QVC start offering more wigs that are a brighter red for their redheaded customers. I have alopecia and so have been wearing wigs for quite awhile now. I usually spend mega $$$$ on wigs as I have to wear them every day. I’ve purchased other less expensive wigs in the past and they look okay but this one? It’s a winner! It’s a little “top heavy” in that I’m not used to a lot of poof on the top of my head. I had been wanting to try a different wig brand for a while, and after seeing Hairdo on QVC a number of times, I figured I'd give it a try…and I'm glad I did! I bought the Short Textured Cut in Medium Brown Gold. It is so lightweight it was easy for me to forget I was wearing it! The hair is soft and easy to style in different ways, and there is minimal ‘perma-tease’, which helps make it look more realistic (in my opinion). This wig fit my head perfectly right out of the box, but that might be due to the fact I have a smaller-than-average head. I’m not a wig fit expert, but if it helps, these are my head measurements (which fall into the small-cap category of 21"–13"-11.5"–11.5"—13"–4"): 21.5” – Head circumference (hairline around the head and nape of neck); 13.0” – Forehead to nape of neck (hairline center of forehead over crown to hairline at nape of neck); 12.0” – Ear-to-ear across front hairline (base of side burn along forehead to side burn base of other ear); 11.5” – Ear-to-ear over top of head (hairline directly above the ear over top of head to top of other ear); 12.5” – Temple to temple (across back of the head); 4.0” – Nape of neck (width of hairline across nape of the neck). The ear tabs didn’t completely cover my hair on the sides, but it covered enough to blend with my own to give a natural appearance. I had no problem with coverage at the nape of my neck; the wig sat nicely and covered my natural hair just fine with no slippage. I typically slick my hair back and fasten it toward the nape of the neck with a few barrettes, which I think helps keep the wig from slipping. Be advised that if you are looking for more of a brown color, you probably don't want this wig. The gold/blonde highlights make up the bulk of the color on this wig (front and back), which is what I was looking for…but it may not be for everyone. I’m posting three pics to this review so you can see what my natural hair looks like (not styled), what it looks like slicked back, and what the wig actually looks like on. The photos were taken in front of a window (natural light) on an overcast day. I ordered a total of six Hairdo wigs in Medium Brown with Gold, thinking there would be some I wouldn’t like and would have to return…but I ended up loving (and keeping) all of them! I am extremely impressed with the quality of these wigs and look forward to trying more styles. Don't let the price point fool you into thinking these are low-quality. They are fantastic!KrankyGirl

That's what I love most about it. At first, I wasn't sure about her. She seemed a little wild! So I put her on the wig stand for a day or so. Then I decided to wear her and see what I thought. I put her on, bent over and finger fluffed, then stood up and flung my hair back and loved it! I dare say, I looked pretty sexy! Nice for a 60 year old. I wore this while I was bopping about the house doing laundry and vacuuming. I noticed the curls were bouncing when I walked, just like my own hair does! There was an annoying piece of hair right in front that kept falling in my face, so I carefully thinned it and shortened it to blend in. There's just barely a whisp of bang, which I like. I've been wearing her every day for 3 weeks. Wore this to a family party and received compliments! There was an outdoor heater right at my head level! Yikes, I thought my wig would melt lol, so I steared clear of that! It was also very windy too and I had no wig malfunctions. She got tousled in the wind just like the picture! This wig is mostly one length, about to my shoulders. You have to give these curly wigs some love, and a little hair spray helps too. Don't give up on these beautiful styles. Own it! Walk a little taller, do your makeup, and wear a flattering color next to your face. Add earrings, and I guarantee you will get many compliments. I own the red ginger and am ordering another one!
