Fit perfectly fine on my head I fixed the straps to my liking. Unit was 13×6 parting space, lace was light. My mom gave Solana to me, because she wasn’t really feeling the color on her. I think this color is called “Chocolate Flamboyage” and when I first tried her on I too wasn’t 100% in love with this color as well, and being new to wearing synthetic wigs I really didn’t know what to do with it either lol. I needed this wig for my Casey Becker costume and was so excited when I found it in the store. I took it home and the problem began when I took it out of the packaging. The way it was packaged it was like folded in half and been in the bag for I don't know how long, so there were some folded/bent edges. I combed it out hoping they would straighten out, but sadly they didn't. I tried everything and after hours of combing this wig the edges were still messed up, they only straightened out slightly. I have been wearing wigs since breast cancer caused my already thinning hair to fall out. Due to POS and a hormone blocker I will take for a few more years, my hair had no chance at coming back to anything resembling a full head. I used to wear this unit regularly back in the day. I reordered for old times' sake, and since I've been wearing short hair a lot lately, but it's just not what I remembered. I love Jon Renau synthetic pieces in the colors 6 and 8/32. I have about 8 toppers and wigs in these colors. I purchased Bryce in color 6 and the the fibers felt terribly dry, crunchy and tangled. No matter how much silicon spray I used I just could not get these fibers to become manageable. The monofilament and stitching is also different than all of my other Jon Renau pieces. The monofilament is shiny, the knots are thicker, the lace folds and bubbles. The only good thing is the cap is not as massive as some of the other more recent wigs they’ve released. I’m petite-average and I could comfortably wear this wig. I am really hesitant to try any of their new styles after this complete waste of money. It’s just a mess and unwearable. I returned the Malibu Waves wig because it reeked of a gasoline smell. The smell was so strong and so overwhelming that I had to open the windows to air out the room after I had removed the wig from the box and then go outside on the porch to catch my breath. I don't know if the wig had been washed in a toxic smelling chemical or if the materials used to make the wig just smelled like that. I called the company and the first customer service rep I spoke with told me I would be charged a return fee to send the wig back. I asked why I would be charged a fee to return obviously defective merchandise, and she just kept repeating that I had to pay the return fee. I then asked to speak to a manager, who was very nice and assured me that my full purchase price would be refunded when the wig was returned.Ruth
I absolutely love Malibu Waves! The color, Auburn Sugar rooted is so beautiful. I get compliments all day long. Its soft and so easy to style. Just give it a shake and run your fingers through and you're out the door. The only problem is the shipping time is so slow with Paula Young. I ordered on the 8th and didn't receive it until the 23rd. Next time I will spring for express shipping I guess.Laura
I was disappointed with my purchase of Malibu Waves. It did not look like the model pictures with curl showing on top of crown and in bang area. The curl is concentrated on the bottom of wig mostly. Their is too much hair in crown and framing the face and has little wave. I had to modify (thin) the unit quite a lot & is still too much hair to look natural. I’m still working with it but this unit will never be an easy go to out of box style. I will also have to steam the still too heavy front hairline around face to keep from flopping in face continually. This baby needs a lot of work and disappointed i paid too much & have to put so much alterations into it to get it less wiggy looking. I do however love the rooted silver color. In contrast, your Mya with loose beachy waves wig i could wear right out of the box with absolutely no work or alterations. And does not look too full, unnatural or wiggy. This style would be fabulous if you added a lace front version (BUT DON’T REPLACE) the non lace version for those of us that want the price break & comfort of a non lace. Would not repeat purchase or recommend Malibu Waves. WOULD LOVE TO SEE MYA OFFERED IN MORE COLORS & THE BEAUTIFUL ROOTED GREY.Susan
