This wig was a challenge to get on my teenage son's head, and a bigger challenge to keep there. Once on, it looked nothing like the picture on the packaging. Even after some attempts at brushing. It didn't even look like something had crawled on his head and died. Because it didn't look real enough to even have that going for it. The strands of "hair" were sparse enough that you could see the base netting. I finally told him that his costume would look better with his real hair; how readily he agreed was an indication of just how uncomfortable it was. Thank goodness it wasn't that expensive. Right out of the box this wig looks really bad and takes some time and effort to shape. Definitely doesn't look like the photo. Rather than a "Mississippi Mudflap" mustache, the one you get is very square on all sides, is thin, and is shaped more like a long Asian mustache. The worst part is that the adhesive used to stick the mustache on ones' face doesn't stick well. I wore this indoors, in a climate controlled environment so wasn't really sweating like I might if wearing this at a large party or outdoors, and even then the mustache started coming off my face after about 10 minutes of use, and fell off completely after about 15 minutes.Mikey

I got this wig for a Scorpion (from The Devil's Carnival) cosplay because it was the closest I could find to the plastic look to the character's hair. It's not terrible but I ordered two and both arrived NOT looking like the picture. The wig in the picture is bright and shiny and styled differently than what you'll receive. The two I got I'm going to have to cut into a bit to make the "bangs" fall like it's supposed to in the picture and shine it up a bit somehow because it's a very dull black color. All in all, it's not terrible for the price but I will definitely be looking for better options in the future.reddsummers

The wig in the photograph on the package of the product looked much different than the actual wig when I got it. The wig in the photograph looked like a full one length wig with bangs, very much like Garth's actual hair. The wig that I got was not all one length, but instead had strange short layers cut on the top of it and the bangs as well. It looks more like some sort of hair metal band wig. The bangs aren't really there they kind of stick out, and straight up and the top of the wig has lots of hair sticking up as well. The underneath layer is so thin that you can almost see through it. It does not look like Garth's hair, nor does it look like the package. You can even see the netting on the top of it. I was hoping that I would get what I thought I was buying. I know that I got a cheap deal on the wig and glasses kit, but I think that the wig should look like what the package shows that it looks like.viviacour-0

Not the best quality but what does one expect. My wife really looked like Garth when she put it on. You may want to take your skin coloring in to account. I am fairly tan and it didn't work on me that well. But it was an easy costume to wear all night long. I would recommend it. This wig is good value but doesn't fully look like the one on the packet. It has the SNL branding inside so it's definitely the right wig. However, the hair on top is much shorter and spikier than appears on the packet – I opened mine a couple of weeks before wearing and put it on something in the hope that it would settle down following being stuck in the packet, but it didn't. I tried to style it with my hands and with a hairbrush/comb but it just kept spiking back up, rather than laying flat like in the picture. Overall, decent enough for what it is though.media-emma

I used this wig for a Doc Brown costume. Needed a few modifications to make it work for that look: trimmed it, removed a few wefts to make less poofy (this is a very poofy wig), and sprayed it a little with some blonde hair color. Wig quality is not bad for the price and would work well for Einstein or Mozart or even a shaggy dog costume. It's definitely a shiny bright white color, so if you want a grey or something more realistic you may want to try something different. It's also very curly., If you want a very poof, curly, bright white wig then you will like this. I didn't use the mustache for my costume, but I do not recommend it. It's pretty terrible and you can definitely find something of higher quality.Jessica
