Jaclyn Smith Wigs Amazon For Sale (2024 Update)

Nora is a delightful fluff and go style with waves and almost curls. I got it in color 38, which is light ash brown with grey. It is supposed to be light ash brown with 25 percent grey (it seems a bit more than that;) It would be nice if Paula Young had at least one style featured in this color. The ash brown is very close to my natural color (a bit lighter) but Nora has more grey than I do personally. Nora arrived smelling absolutely wretched; I almost gagged when I opened the box. I had to wash the wig immediately. I used Paula Young shampoo. I thought I detected the (fumigant?) odor even after the wash, but when Nora dried, she no longer smelled. When I first put her on after she'd dried she was not pretty and the curls were mashed against the cap. I shook her vigorously and then took a wide tooth comb and really brought the fibers up off the cap. I wasn't rough, but I was deliberate in going over the entire wig to revive the fibers. I was able to achieve a style very similar to the catalog photo. In my photos, Nora has a more shag-like appearance, but once on she can be fluffed to the rounded silhouette of the catalog photo. Nora fits my 22.25 inch head comfortably and could be adjusted to go even a bit larger, or smaller. I find the fibers dry to the touch and just a bit coarser than my own very fine hair (although Nora's fiber does not look coarse.) Nora is comfortable to wear and an adorable style that goes with dressy as well as casual outfits. If you are prepared to spend a few moments waking Nora up after you first get her home, I think you will be pleasantly surprised at her fluff and go versatility. When this DANCE wig and COLOR ME EXQUISITE wigs arrived, upon removing them from the box they were cute, and the colors were pretty and the best thing they had going for them, However, they didn't look much like the ones the models in the pictures wore. And there is too much perma tease or "fluff" to them. They had really no style to them at all. Especially in the front, just couldn't do much with them. And didn't want to try since being careful with them is a must when trying them on. Very disappointed with these wigs. In my humble opinion they were not great and not keepers. So I am returning them and probably won't buy anymore wigs again. Sorry PY but your wigs need to be lighter weight, lay nicer, (some of us like a bit flatter style) far less perma tease or fluff, easier to wear right out of the box…Thanks anyway…Juanita

I am completely disappointed with my purchase. I ordered two of this wig because I really like the look of the style in the picture. The wigs I received will not comb into the style shown. The top is spiked and will only stand straight up and the bangs stick straight out and will not lay nicely against the forehead. I tried to tame it down with wig spray and hair gel but it won't lay down. The top hair stands straight up and the bangs stick straight out. The wig will not comb into a nice smooth pixie like the picture shows. I would not recommend a person buy this wig unless you want spiked hair that stands straight up at the top of your head and bangs that stick straight out at your forehead. The style does not resemble the picture at all !Eve

I recently received my Becky, and was so disappointed. The color was beautiful, but the hair was wild and straight. It looked like it had been harshly brushed out, and was very dry. I shook it , sprayed it with PY conditioner, but had to cut some bangs and wear it anyway, as I needed to return the beautiful, long Gayle, as it was too long and young looking for me at 74. I have worn PY wigs for many years due to thinning hair, and have only had a few disappointments, but lately have had with problems. I tried washing the Becky in PY shampoo, and conditioner , but the hair remained the same.Judy

I was so excited for the curls. I was sad to see her a little fuzzy around the top. The light blonde colors are a bit shiny. I tried to fix her with dry shampoo but that didn’t work. Decided to just bite the bullet and wear her pulled back. Kinda defeats having curls but once I used dry shampoo, she was mine.Carla

If you love curls, then Becky's the girl for you! She's surprisingly lightweight and cool. She has a beautiful lace front that is not itchy at all and a mono part. I got Becky in the Swedish blonde which is a rooted color. It's beautiful and what you see in the picture is what you get. I've been a wig wearer everyday and all day for the past four years and can tell you that this is a great wig and the price is fantastic! I have a 21" circumference head so am a petite average and the fit and coverage is perfect for my smaller head!!! This makes me so happy as so many wigs are just too large for me. I would tell you to NOT comb through this wig but simply finger comb through and loosen up the curls when you first get her out of the box, otherwise you will definitely look like a "doll head." I wear claw clips to pull hair back, or headbands to change up the look and it all looks great! I've already ordered a second Becky and I'm sure it won't be my last!Cynthia

Okay, that's it. Please stop sending catalogs as the quality of your wigs is just not what it used to be. This Jaclyn Smith wig looked great in picture, but not in actuality. Wig style just not there–just lots of hair. Also, the size was VERY small (ordered regular, but sized extra small) I have had the same issues several times now. I was certainly disappointed!maribeth

The back is just what I wanted. The lace front is sturdy & doesn't slide around like some. I'm not sure where the curls on the bangs in the catalog picture came from. Bangs are thick & do one thing only to one side. Sides were a little too curly for me. I won't purchase again.Kerre

I have worn a pixie cut for decades so Leading Lady was quite a departure for me. As soon as I put her on, I felt transformed. Her soft, beautiful waves and gorgeous color (Caramelized Brown Rooted) truly made me feel like a star. Not to mention that my husband's eyes lit up when he saw me for the first time! The Beverly Hills Jaclyn Smith wig is beautiful but she comes with just a few minor issues for me. First, let me just talk about some of the positives. I ordered her in Wildflower Honey. The color Wildflower Honey is very natural looking and I would describe it as a dirty blonde. Beautiful with my skin tone. The hair length on me, goes slightly above my bra strap. So for me, the length is slightly on the medium longish side and definitely great for up-do's! Another positive is that the cap has an amazing lace front. Good lace front wigs are hard to find. It's impeccably done but the downside for me is that the lace is scratchy. A velvet hair grip is necessary. The next thing I noticed is that this unit has a center part. Not really too much monofilament here. It has a tiny bit, only about a half inch or less, so it's kind of hard to move a part around. That was disappointing for me as I don't ever do center parts. I did manage to move it a tad but not without a struggle 😂. Had to turn to my niece who is a hairdresser, for help. The Velcro straps are a plus, but I do have to adjust them frequently. I am more of a petite average head size, so this cap which is average large on me, is a bit stretchy but thankfully adjustable. So this Average cap would work for slightly larger heads. Now for some minor issues. The hair fiber felt good with baby (soft,) denure for about five days. Now I find the ends are pretty dry and starting to frizz even with the use of wig conditioning spray. Another thing I ran into is that the wig hair is a little thin on top in the back which is weird because it is not anywhere else. There is zero perma tease which in this unit, would have been a little bit helpful. But then, I knew that when I purchased her. I realize some ladies don't like the perma tease so this would please them immensely. Sadly, it's tough for me. The hair unit itself is slightly on the heavy side for me and in my opinion, a little bit of lift in the crown area would help. I don't imagine I'll get a whole lot of wear from this unit now that it's so hot outside but come winter, I'll bring it out again. Despite it's issues for me, these may not be issues for anyone else. It's really a pretty wig. The price point is excellent for such a fashion wig and is definitely worth the small investment. I would purchase her again but wear her in winter weather.Aisha

For the last 24 years I was always ordering human hair wigs, thinking they are the best. Boy I was wrong! This is the 1st synthetic wig I've ever had and to my surprise and shock I love it. It's lighter and it looks absolutely natural and brushes and washes easily. I just realized how disgusting it is to wear someone's hair on your head after 24 years of doing that. The style is gorgeous and my coworkers and friends compliment me all the time now. Strangers on the street tell me they love the color. (It has gorgeous highlights). No way back to human hair!!!Kira

Beautiful is the compliments I get when I wear this one!! It's one of my favorites. I am hooked on the Jaclyn Smith wigs because they are so much more softer feeling than any of the whisperlite wigs. This one has a ton of hair on which made it feel heavier. But once I took a pair of thinning shears to it, it felt so much lighter yet still have that fullness to it. It's a very nice wig. And from now on I will only buy the Jaclyn Smith brand. Until I win the lottery anyways lol. I just ordered my 1st human hair wig, but not from here. They are more expensive here. Thanks to the experienced experts on YouTube, I am Learning more and more about wigs, on how to's of washing them to keeping them kept in sealed bags to thinning them out. I ain't rich and I don't have a hair stylist near me who is willing to cut them , so I have to learn how to take care of them by those ladies on YouTube who have years and years of experience and don't mind sharing their advice (free of charge) to newbies like me. If anything, I am a very honest opionated person. If you can't handle the truth on my reviews on these wigs I buy, then don't ask 😏🙄😲Valerie

Have bought 10 wigs now, to hold me while my hair (hopefully) grows back after a crash diet and stress. This is probably my least favorite, and that includes cheapies on Amazon that pleasantly surprised me. My head is small, between petite and average, but I always wear average. Head is short, so wigs always look longer on my than in the pic. This one, oddly enough, it toooo tight. it pulls up drastically in the back, with or without a wig cap, and pulls on my ear. (If I don't pull it over the ears, it's poofy, like it's just sitting on top of my head and about to fall off.) It's off on one side so that it pulls up on that side more. Yes, the bangs are too thick — the whole wig's too thick. Had to do my best to thin out from underneath (live rural, without stylists around), which, of course, considering the material, left tiny hairs sticking up, although I tried to just thin the bottom layers. Actually, little hairs stand up on it from brushing against the back of a chair or just from wearing. Constantly have to clip them off. The color is carrot red, and with this long and loose style and thickness, it's more obvious than in other styles. I expected reddish brown, but this is almost strawberry. So all in all, I'm happier with my others. This is wearable, but I stopped thinning without doing the bangs (bad enough having those little hairs all over elsewhere), and the top still looks ""wig-poofy."" When I run my hands over it, it feels rough, from all the little hairs. Plus, had to completely undo the tabs to make it stay down…and the tabs had tons of hair stuck to them and coming through the web to the outside that was impossible to pull out and correct, so had to just cut it so it wouldn't keep getting stuck to the Velcro. More acceptable if it was a $49 dollar one, but esp not for $79. Have had better luck with others, so will be ordering again, a different style (not J.S. With all the clipping of little hairs sticking up, this one may not last long!Vladdy

I am new to wig wearing. Thin hair and menopause has been a thing for me . I’m 57 and don’t mind aging . But hair for women it’s kinda a big deal- hence my wig journey begins with Paula young. Sunset fits nice. I wear a wig band for security. I love love love this silver color . It blends nice from dark to light. The bangs need tweaking so I’m trying. I’ve already purchased this same style in another color.Sherry

I returned the Malibu Waves wig because it reeked of a gasoline smell. The smell was so strong and so overwhelming that I had to open the windows to air out the room after I had removed the wig from the box and then go outside on the porch to catch my breath. I don't know if the wig had been washed in a toxic smelling chemical or if the materials used to make the wig just smelled like that. I called the company and the first customer service rep I spoke with told me I would be charged a return fee to send the wig back. I asked why I would be charged a fee to return obviously defective merchandise, and she just kept repeating that I had to pay the return fee. I then asked to speak to a manager, who was very nice and assured me that my full purchase price would be refunded when the wig was returned.Ruth

I absolutely love Malibu Waves! The color, Auburn Sugar rooted is so beautiful. I get compliments all day long. Its soft and so easy to style. Just give it a shake and run your fingers through and you're out the door. The only problem is the shipping time is so slow with Paula Young. I ordered on the 8th and didn't receive it until the 23rd. Next time I will spring for express shipping I guess.Laura

I was disappointed with my purchase of Malibu Waves. It did not look like the model pictures with curl showing on top of crown and in bang area. The curl is concentrated on the bottom of wig mostly. Their is too much hair in crown and framing the face and has little wave. I had to modify (thin) the unit quite a lot & is still too much hair to look natural. I’m still working with it but this unit will never be an easy go to out of box style. I will also have to steam the still too heavy front hairline around face to keep from flopping in face continually. This baby needs a lot of work and disappointed i paid too much & have to put so much alterations into it to get it less wiggy looking. I do however love the rooted silver color. In contrast, your Mya with loose beachy waves wig i could wear right out of the box with absolutely no work or alterations. And does not look too full, unnatural or wiggy. This style would be fabulous if you added a lace front version (BUT DON’T REPLACE) the non lace version for those of us that want the price break & comfort of a non lace. Would not repeat purchase or recommend Malibu Waves. WOULD LOVE TO SEE MYA OFFERED IN MORE COLORS & THE BEAUTIFUL ROOTED GREY.Susan

When I first received the wig I was worried that it would be too thin. But, when I am wearing it, I find that the lower density looks extremely natural and more realistic than the overly thick human hair wigs I have had in the past. The hair is very smooth and you can run your fingers right through it. I had the Kim by Jon Reneau which has extremely sick denier. I have this bravo wig in the color R 11 S. It looks extremely realistic as though my hair had been professionally highlighted. I also find the lace front to be the best I have ever worn. The netting is so fine that I truly can barely see it. This is the first wig I have on where I do not feel the need to cut the lace. Although some may not like the thin density for the shorter length, I find it perfect for every day wear. I was looking for a wig that was short enough to be comfortably worn every day easy to tuck behind the ears, yet long enough to be pulled back out of my face. Also I would like to add that this week does not shed at all so I am expecting it to last quite a while.I gave this four stars only because I do wish there was slightly more hair in the lower back region of the cap.Patricia D.

I‘m a huge Raquel Welch wigs fan, it’s my favorite brand. And I had my eyes on this style for a while and think the stock photo looks fabulous. But it’s my first and last style in regular synthetic. I love the True2Life HD fibers by Raquel Welch, they look and feel like human hair. But these are just extremely shiny and it has a lot of hair! The color Glazed Sand is really nice and the lace front on this style is impeccable, and as this was my first unrooted color, it’s even better and more undetectable than the rooted colors. But everyone tells me that this style looks like an old woman and I‘m just too young to look that old… 😅 Of course Wigstudio1 is not to blame, their service was first class, as always!Sarah C.

The most natural looking wig I have ever purchased. A friend who knows I wear wigs, asked if she was seeing my bio hair. I was wearing hand tied Center Stage with the lovely lace front when she sat across from me at a restaurant that day. Nothing more needs to be written to explain the 5 stars. Center Stage has the most natural looking 'part' and believable density. I currently have this in 2 different but similar colors. I am shocked to see negative reviews. All it takes is a little patience with water, spray and/or gel to fool even a best friend. I don't want to forget to rate the comfort level-also deserves 5 stars.NBS
