This is a great wig. I haven't experienced any shedding. I have a 23.5 circumference head. The wig fits like a standard wig. I've worn it for over a week and it's kept its integrity. I only had to use my fingers to detangle the hair at the nape of my neck. I will use flex rods when need be. Whats really refreshing is the texture. Its organic looking. I can move the part on my head for different looks, and the density it perfect. This is one of my favorite wigs of 2020. I purchased three from this site. This wig will be a staple look for me. This is my first time ordering I live in Canada Ontario, the wig took 9 days to come ( a little over a week). It was long, loose curls and baby hair straight out the package. Fit perfectly fine on my head I fixed the straps to my liking. Unit was 13×6 parting space, lace was light. My mom gave Solana to me, because she wasn’t really feeling the color on her. I think this color is called “Chocolate Flamboyage” and when I first tried her on I too wasn’t 100% in love with this color as well, and being new to wearing synthetic wigs I really didn’t know what to do with it either lol. Very pleased with the quality of the wig especially for the price $25. I usually buy preplucked lacefronts at around $60 and so this is a great beautiful wig for learning customizing even though it doesn’t need tons but if your a novice at that like me. It’s very light weight on my head. The density and hair thickness are perfect for believeable daily wear. Now it’s synthetic shiny so it definitely needs dry shampoo. Optional foundation for the hairline and optional plucking but the hairline looks pretty darn good without it so that’s just to up it a notch to believability. I’ve enclosed pics straight from out of the box to display OP430 in natural lighting. I bought 4 packs of black and 1 pack of the deep wine, but since I have my sides and back shaved then of course I have plenty of locs left over (and I'm glad that I do). Usually I'll do my faux locs myself by starting with Senegalese twists then by rapping them which, of course, would take forever so this was my first using crochet locs. They are definitely springy, but beware because if they get tugged at the ends on accident then they will just hang and not spring back. I already had to cut some ends because of such actions. Also, I noticed some were not made as well as others, so make sure you get an extra pack. Some were "puffy" so my hair isn't hiding as well as it should be (I did individual crocheting). I do love the look though but removed a star based of said flaws. I took another star off because the website was being glitchy. I used the website via my phone and when trying to add stuff other than the locs, my whole cart would be emptied. It did this several times, so I just gave up and only purchased the locs. When I went to purchase the locs, the total jumped by $1, which is no big deal because it was just a dollar but the fact that it jumped like that concerned me. But at the end of the day, I would recommend and use this hair again. It did get frizzy and snaggy the second day but nothing major yet. Also, I noticed the deep wine holds up better than the black. The only way this wig could be any better was if it just lasted a tad longer and if the curl pattern never fell. It looks more realistic as the curls fall, but it dries at the ends and will eventually need to be straightened, perhaps trimmed or cut and then converted to bun or workout hair. In the meantime though, you get MAD compliments – many people don't even realize its not my bio hair. I wear it regularly in 1B and recently switched to OP61327 (613 Platinum blonde ombre with 1B roots and strategically placed 27 and/or 30 for dimension and shine). I absolutely love it – I'm a whole different person. Only thing that Freetress could offer any better was if this colour came in Karissa's length and density. This wig is awful! I wanted a wig that looks like natural hair and on that point, the wig wins. Sadly, there are no other wins for it. The lace is extremely poor quality because there is no way to camouflage it. I used powder, I used concealer, I used my liquid foundation but nothing works. I wore the wig and was very embarrassed because you could see the lace at the center of my hairline. No amount of products used would hide it. Also, the hair gets puffy! The couple of times I wore it, by the end of the day, it was 'big'. I put product in it a couple of times to calm it down, but that did not seem to help. This purchase was an epic fail!! The wig I got came with a huge bald spot in the front. When I tried to return it for an exchange, I was told it wasn’t in new/unused condition. The only thing I did was take the wig out of the box and I still had the two cardboard pieces that cane in the box all of which I shipped back. This is the WORST service I have ever received from an online store. It obvious that customers actually being able to use the product that they payed $40 of their money for isn’t a concern to this company. Because the quality is so poor, I ensure extremely gentle combing but somehow one of the tracks has already broken within the first 1-2 weeks. The **** are that once you tint the lace/add makeup and cut your baby hairs, the hairline blends really week and looks realistic. If you’re more of an expert at tailoring your own wigs then this isn’t too bad, but you won’t be able to wear it for too long because of the quality. The color is EXACTLY what I expected and is a perfect summer blend I love that it is a side part too because I love doing a clipped back look behind my ear (will make it easier to wear my walkie at work) I thought it was gonna be too long but I actually love the length! I love this wig. It’s so beautiful. The hairline is spacious and can be parted anywhere. The curls are full n the texture of the hair is perfect. I made a middle part and a side part and it looked perfect both ways.i didn’t have any tangling either. I’m surprised I hadn’t heard about this wig before. It’s a well kept secret. If I wasn’t experienced in wearing wigs, this would have been a really frustrating and disappointing purchase. As soon as I took the hair out of the box, the ends seemed really tough and frizzy, to the point where the comb gets stuck. Because the quality is so poor, I ensure extremely gentle combing but somehow one of the tracks has already broken within the first 1-2 weeks. The **** are that once you tint the lace/add makeup and cut your baby hairs, the hairline blends really week and looks realistic. If you’re more of an expert at tailoring your own wigs then this isn’t too bad, but you won’t be able to wear it for too long because of the quality. If it was cheaper like the original price in the US then I don’t think I would have minded as much.Danielle C.

This is a lovely wig. I love that it's thinner and hand tied. I'm not a fan of the ear to ear lace. It tends to stick up around the ear tabs and you can see it. I am so glad I tried the light version in the julianne before paying a ridiculous amount of money for the carrie light and realizing the lace ear tabs are terrible. If you have hair thinning or loss anywhere in the front, this will not work for you as you'll be pulling on those vulnerable hairs if you have any, yet it won't be enough to hold the piece in place safely, nor can you use adhesive on thinning hairs. Obviously the 3 front clips won't be of use if you have no hair in front; aybe you could remove all the clips and use adhesive instead if you have no hair. For me, with thinning hair, this was unworkable. I was excited about this item, but was left disappointed. Trying to be fair to the store, I kept the items (I bought two) rather than ask for another return. I shouldn't have kept them.Gerri
I have bought several regular January's in the past, and have always thought they had too much permatease, but would repurchase it because it is closest to the style and color I am looking for. This was my first January Hand Tied. I am pleased to say that it is exactly what I was hoping for. The best part is that there is NO permatease, which had always made it too hot to wear in the summer, and now I don't have to worry about wefts showing since there are none. The lace front on mine is fantastic in the color 14/25 – the highlighting and knotting is the best it's ever been. It is much less tiger-striped looking than it had been about 5 years ago. The hand tied January also has less density than regular January, so I only thinned it slightly in spots compared to my major thinning of regular January. Both versions of January tend to be less shiny than the straight versions of synthetics, which is a plus for me. The Jon Renau regular synthetic fibers last longer than the other brands I have tried as well.Brahm
