First of all, I want to say I have VERY long and full latin hair. It is up to my lower back and I purchased 2 boxes- but only needed ONE. I never really use the gloves provided in the boxes of hair color because they tend to rip at the seams- so use your own gloves. 2N was the color I used and it looks identical to the picture on the box. Just gorgeous. It’s a very dark brown that appears black but not blue black. I’m just in love with it and how soft my hair is after. I will keep buying this one and can’t recommend it enough. This foam hair dye was pretty awful for me. The dye smells good and the foam feel fine but the DRIPS! I had black dye all over my bathroom- so stressful. I did follow the directions and had a towel and carefully covered my bathroom. After using the amount of foam recommended to cover the entirety of your hair, you wait at least 20 minutes. In about 5 minutes the foam started to “melt” and no longer foamy, it dripped everywhere. Although I had a towel my hair dropped dye everywhere as I sat in my bathroom. I have to say the application is different than when you use traditional at home hair color, but I love it. The lack of harsh chemical smells and this is amazing as well. Plus, I feel like you can get better control when you're doing the application. John Frieda didn't dry out my hair like some other hair dyes did. It's a beautiful color and even on my natural black hair that was undyed you can still see some tint. I think I'm going to keep this up and see if I use it on more than just my one inch natural roots. Then maybe I'll have some red highlights on the few grays that I have over time.elizabeth.y

I'm sad to say I don't like this at all. I bleached my hair using the bleach I was given for free form Influenster and it did a good job bleaching my hair. I still had some green on my ends from the previous dyeing sessions I've had but my roots (which are undyed) lifted a lot. I squeezed the color out (I got green queen) and it was yellow at first which threw me off. It was kind of cool actually. It started to turn green. The more you mix it with the developer the more green it turns (it takes a minute or two). It was this dark green color that applied really well on the hair! The fumes stung my eyes a little but that's no big deal. I left it on a little over the amount of time they recommended and it did nothing. My hair was totally saturated with the color but it didn't take to my roots at all. My roots are the same color my bleached hair was. My ends are a little refreshed color wise but that's only because it had a light green base to work with. I'm so disappointed this didn't stick to my hair, especially my roots. I wouldn't repurchase again. Not worth going through all the steps to damage my hair not to get ANY results. I did really like the other products Influenster sent me for free to try with this product so I would recommend those (the color stay shampoo, conditioner, split end treatment etc) but not the hair dye.mallory.c
So i received these items in a VoxBox from influenster and it took me a while to write this review due to the fact that i wanted to see how long this product would last after a few washes and how my hair would react. I have super thin hair that breaks really fast. This is the best cream hair color i have ever used. If you pair the dye with the shampoo and conditioner and the thrive split end repair together you get ZERO dryness and breakage. I still have the same curl pattern and little split ends. I highly recommend this product not only because it is affordable (even though thats great too) but because your hair will thank you for the quality of this product as well. Thank you influenster! I received the Power to the Purple, FLARE Me. I have a lot of experience with funky colored hair dyes, as I have gone from color to color for the past seven years. I also worked at Sally's for over a year, and am very comfortable with their brands (Manic Panic, Beyond the Zone, Ion, etc.), but I was pleased when I tried out Clairol's fun colors for the first time! I was a manic panic girl, but now I think I have switched over to a brand with a lot of backing and experience. I have not worked at Sally's in nearly a year, so I am not up-to-date with their products, but I am disappointed I didn't give the FLARE Me line a try sooner. The color is a "vivid permanent cream color", and, although it was sort of vivid, it was NOT permanent by any means! I have washed my hair three times since dying it (September 17th — it is now September 28th) and it is basically gone. Although, I do kind of expect that for a lavender, but I do not expect that of a permanent hair color. I used the Clearly You Pastel Mix in along with the Power to the Purple, and it is the perfect lavender. I rated this product 3/5 stars, because I did experience a lot of bleeding with the color, more than usual for a lavender. I went to sleep with damp hair, and woke up to a lavender mess. The wash-out time was also a factor in this rating. Overall, I would recommend this product, and will be going back to Sallys to try out different color options, because I am thinking that not adding the pastel additive is the way to go with this! 4.5 star… I would actually rate this a 5 star but for the cap opening for the container – the design is flawed. The product itself is a solid 5 star rating (make sure you get the formula with the "lead acetate" in it). I used Grecian for years but once they buckled under pressure from certain groups and left out the lead acetate, they came up with a new formula (excluding the lead acetate of course) which leaves brown stain on your hand, head, bathroom sink and etc… Grecian did not even mention this new change of formula which is inferior. I used Manic Panic Bleach Lightning Kit 30 as well as Manic Panic Virgin Snow toner. After my hair was a golden brown/blonde. I dyed on top of the brown and the bleached hair. The brown resulted in a deeper subtle emerald color, and the bleached resulted in a grass green with minty, teal undertones. I have not yet done any washing so I can’t speak about the fade rate. I was looking for a dark rich green forest color. I have previously used Lunar Tides Juniper Green. I was absolutely in love I ended up ordering that to dye overtop of the color I have now. If you are looking for grass, or ‘Ninja Turtle’, or even a great green for st patties this would probably work for you. If you are looking for something darker and more spooky this green might be a little too light. The coverage on my natural brown is not very good in comparison with Lunar Tides Juniper. I was looking for something else. If you lift you hair color any higher than a gold like a platinum… you might get more of a mint teal color.
Semi perm so won’t cover roots but this color is so pretty. When I was over it and applied a color remover to try and take this out since nothing else I tried could get this out, it turned a dark blue which I wasn’t expecting and then a purple. In my experience, permanent hair dye is actually easier to remove since color remover actually works on it unlike semi permanent. Wouldn’t but again but Is good if you really like committing to a colorkendra.a
One ‘n Only 7RG is the most natural looking red hair color I’ve ever used. It is vivid, conditioning, and the color performs better than expected. It does not fade as quickly as other brands red shades I have tried in the past. I have long hair that hits below my shoulder blades. Each box of color has two standard applications per tube, so I am able to purchase one tube of this color rather than two to get full coverage for all my hair. It is priced comparably to other beauty supply brands; therefore, you get twice the value! I always get compliments and asked if this is my natural color. This stuff works great if you find a color that works for your hair! So many of the negative reviews for this stuff are from people who think you can put a light pink or lilac into their dark brown hair without bleach. Use common sense, people! Listen to the reccomendations for light versus dark hair. It is SO nice that they seperate the products based off natural/staring hair colors, and that they show on the box the differences in results based on your hair color. I have found it to be extremely accurate. I have medium brown hair naturally and have had my hair dyed professionally various red hues in the past. I have NEVER bleached or pre-lightned my hair. I have used both the Burgandy and the Maroon (I really can't tell a differene between the two. Maroon might be more purple and burgundy more red?) and they both show up extremely vibrant and beautiful. I have also used the teal. Unforunately the teal mostly made my hair look black with some blue green hues. I had to apply it a second time as it was a bit patchy at first, but this of course could have been my own fault with application. The teal also faded very quickly and did not fade very flattering colors. Both the burgandy and the maroon are long lasting and fade beautifully to dark redhead hues. Unfortunately I have to remove a star because L'oreal is not a cruetly-free company. I am in the process of finding a new affordable CF replacement.michelle.l
I bought and really enjoyed the teal color! I used to bleach my hair and use different semi permanent dyes to achieve everything from deep blue to pastel peach. After growing all the bleached hair out, I really missed having fantasy hair color, so I decided to give this a try. For best results, I followed these steps: 1. Wash hair with a cleansing shampoo to remove all oil and product build up (Tresemme Deep Cleanse shampoo is excellent and inexpensive) 2. Do not condition hair 3. Blowdry hair until completely dry 4. Put on a black shirt, (included) gloves, and a dark towel around your neck if you have long hair 5. Apply dye with brush 6. Leave on for 30-40 mins 7. With gloves on, rinse hair with cold water until water runs clear 8. After gently towel drying with a dark/black towel, let hair air dry 9. Bonus step if you're worried about staining anything while you sleep. I wrap my pillow in a black towel dedicated to dye jobs to keep it safe. Using these steps, I got excellent vibrant color on my medium brown hair. If it doesn't fade easily, that won't bother me since I'm pretty sure this is going to be my go-to color now. If you're trying to get this color out fast, a mix of Head Shoulders and dish soap works really well with other dyes like Manic Panic and Ion.jenlady.b
Wow. I've been doing extreme colors for a long time. I usually buy my dye at Sally's, but decided to try this bc I was at Walmart, and I'm impulsive. (FYI: I prelightened my hair to a yellowish level, and my hair is already a bit damaged.) Since I want the most mileage from my haircolor, I applied this to DRY HAIR, not damp as the directions recommend. I also left the color in overnight, wearing a shower cap and turban to protect the pillows. In the morning I showered as usual, using shampoo and conditioner. Somehow my hair absorbed all the color. There was no bleed, even with the first shampoo! Every brand of bright/funky/extreme colors I've tried, even the ones supposed to be permanent, bled for days or even weeks after. I used the Colorista Teal over TWO WEEKS AGO and the color is as vibrant as day one! I'm NEVER going to use another brand! Now, if you are only looking for a temporary color or short-term commitment, this may not be for you. The L'OREAL line does sell a washout color spray, and Splat also sells some temporary options. If you are like me, and tired of beautiful colors that bleed and fade too fast, and the cost associated with constantly retouching your color, then L'OREAL Colorista Semi-permanent is EXACTLY what you need!
